Fan Yuxin turned her head toward Teng Ai Ni. "Who’s waiting to hear me sing? It wouldn’t be Mai Zekai, would it? He always loved hearing me sing back in school."

Jimo Shanshan sneered and called after Teng Ai Ni’s back. "Sixth Sister, tell Kaikai I’m heading home. Let him have fun."

Teng Ai Ni stopped in her tracks and looked back. "You’re going home? By yourself?"

"I’ll take them both home," Tong Airui signaled to his sister with his eyes.

Teng Ai Ni quickly pulled along the still-flustered Fan Yuxin and left.

"Shanshan, what did she do to upset you?" As soon as they left, Yi Luowa whispered.

Jimo Shanshan glanced at Tong Airui. "Fourth Brother, keep your distance from people like her. When you touched my fourth sister-in-law’s head just now, I saw her expression—not exactly malicious, but there was definite envy, jealousy, and resentment."
