Chapter 450: Chapter 391: Bite Me Once (Third Update)

In the room, the female doctor smiled and said, "Two!"

"Honey..." Fourth Master’s eyes reddened and he almost broke into tears.

Yi Luowa was clearly still in shock. If it weren’t for him gripping her hand so tightly, she would’ve still been staring blankly at the doctor.

"Hubby, did I hear that right?" Yi Luowa shook his hand.

Tong Airui chuckled and shook his head. "No, you heard it right, it’s two! Honey, you’re amazing!"

"Hehehe..." Yi Luowa giggled foolishly.

Tong Airui bent down and gently kissed her cheek.

"Bite me!" Yi Luowa looped her arms around his neck, refusing to let him go.

Tong Airui captured her rosy lips and gave them a gentle nip. "Honey, it’s not a dream."

"Mm-hmm, seems like it’s not a dream."

The female doctor laughed as she printed out the ultrasound image and handed it to Tong Airui. "Duke Airui, this is for you. From now on, I’ll come over each month to do a check-up for the young madam."

"Thank you!" Tong Airui took the photo and looked at it. "Where are these two little guys then?"

The doctor smiled and pointed out two small black dots. "Here. You can’t see clearly right now, but they’ll become more distinct as the months go by."

Tong Airui helped Yi Luowa up and handed her the photo. Yi Luowa laughed while looking at it. "So tiny!"

Outside, Huo Li quickly spread the good news to everyone.

Tong Yao excitedly banged on the door. "Rui’er, has Luowa dressed yet? I’m coming in!"

Tong Airui laughed, "Mom, she’s dressed, come on in."

Tong Yao pushed the door open, and everyone flocked in.

Yi Luowa handed the photo to Long Che. Uncle Che stared at it, his mouth gaping wide. "It really is two!"

Tong Yao leaned in to look, laughing as she said, "When I was pregnant with three, you weren’t this excited!"

"When he found out you were pregnant with three, he cried from excitement!" Lady Jing Ya chuckled.

"I can vouch for that!" Yan Zi laughed as she grabbed the photo. "Let’s have a look."

"Do you even understand it?" Long Che snatched it back and handed it to Yi Weiyang, who was still smiling at Yi Luowa. "Second Yi, take a look. Your granddaughter—two of them!"

Yi Weiyang didn’t understand any of it, but once he held the photo, he couldn’t let it go. "Hopefully, it’s one boy and one girl to form a perfect pair. Luowa won’t have to suffer again in the future."

Uncle Che, being knowledgeable, grinned and spoke to Yi Weiyang, "You’ll know by around four months."

Tong Yao was so happy that she stuffed a large envelope into the doctor’s hands as a tip. After sending the doctor off, everyone returned to the living room.

It was hard to tell if it was the good mood or the absence of fragrant plants in the living room cutting down on irritants, but Yi Luowa sat for a while without any reaction. Everyone was relieved to let her stay and chat.

Tong Aino and Connie arrived a bit late, and as soon as they stepped in, they heard the news about the twins. Tong Aino jokingly approached and glanced at Yi Luowa’s belly, grinning slyly. "Sis-in-law, let me raise one for you?"

"I can afford to raise them myself." Yi Luowa tightly protected her belly and turned to Tong Airui. "Hubby, he wants to steal our babies!"

Tong Airui laughed and kicked his younger brother lightly. "Back off!"

Tong Aino grumbled, "Fine, keep them! Kicking me just because you’re having twins. When I have kids, I’ll have three at once—or four!"

Connie covered her mouth and snickered, "Yeah, you should have kids! Have ten all at once, and we won’t mind!"

Tong Aino shot her a side-eye. "Which country are you from?"

"Laman!"

"Traitor!"

Hahaha... The room filled with laughter.

"The house is so lively! Looks like we got back just in time." Mi Chenshuo and Mi Chenxuan entered, laughing.

Joyina and Youyou each took one of Mi Xiaotian’s arms and followed him in.

Yan Zi pouted, "Look how smug our Tian-ge is! Why don’t I get treated like this?"

"Mom, you’re jealous of anything!" Mi Chenshuo laughed, "Dad had a long flight and feels a bit dizzy."

Yan Zi stood up in concern, "Tian-ge, are you alright?"

"I’m fine. These two were worried I’d fall and insisted on helping me." Mi Xiaotian smiled as he walked over. "I heard from Xuanxuan that Luowa is pregnant."

"Yes, pregnant—but that’s nothing. She’s pregnant with twins!" Yan Zi pointed at the sofa. Before she could speak, Youyou and Joyina quickly helped Mi Xiaotian to sit down. In sync, they let go of his arms and dashed over to Yi Luowa’s side, asking in unison, "It’s really twins?!"

"Yes, two." Yi Luowa giggled. "You two are more in sync than twins!"

"Fourth Sister-in-law, you don’t know. When Mi Chenxuan and I went to pick up your uncle at the airport, Joyina said the same things I did right after getting off the plane."

"No way! You’re the one who kept saying the same as me!" Joyina laughed as she playfully pushed her.

Normally, Youyou would retort, but this time she just smiled quietly instead.

Yan Zi smiled in satisfaction. Youyou’s recent changes had made her exceedingly pleased.

Mi Xiaotian asked Yi Luowa a few caring questions. Then, turning to Long Che, he said, "Brother, this time when I went to Northern Di with Shuoshuo and Joyina, I personally inspected their market. It’s doing quite well. I even met the King of Northern Di and Prince Just. They’ve offered plenty of favorable terms for Zhuoyuan."

Long Che smiled, "Now you can rest easy, can’t you? We’re getting older—we should let go when it’s time. Leave things to the younger generation, and you can learn from me—stay home, enjoy your leisure, and play with your grandkids."

Mi Xiaotian chuckled, "You’re close to cuddling grandkids yourself; I still don’t have any leads yet."

Mi Chenshuo cleared his throat. "Dad, didn’t Joyina’s father talk to you about this?"

Long Che grinned, "What did he say?"

Mi Xiaotian smiled at his son. "You always said you’re not in a hurry."

Mi Chenshuo scratched his head sheepishly. "Fourth Brother and Seventh Brother are about to become fathers. If I don’t act soon, I might wind up being a generation behind."

"So that’s why my ears are burning! I heard someone talking about me as soon as I walked in." Everyone’s eyes turned to the door. Entering in a relaxed, slow stride were Mai Zekai and Jimo Shanshan, arm in arm.

Laughter erupted out loud, starting with one chuckle and snowballing through the room.

"Shanshan, come sit here." Joyina clutched her laughing, sore belly and helped Shanshan from Mai Zekai’s arms to sit beside Yi Luowa. "Two national treasures sitting together makes it easier for us to take care of you."

Jimo Shanshan smiled warmly, "You two were gone quite a while this trip."

"Missed me?" Joyina giggled, "Let’s catch up later. Third Brother has something to say."

Mi Chenshuo glanced at her, "I thought you said you’d announce it?"

Joyina pouted. "You’re the man; you say it."

"Neither of you need to say a word—I’ll do it!" Mi Xiaotian cut off their banter with a grin. "Yan Zi, the King of Northern Di and I discussed Shuoshuo and Joyina’s wedding. His suggestion is to have them register their marriage over there."

Yan Zi asked in confusion, "Why register the marriage there?"

"Because for women in Northern Di, the legal marriage age is just eighteen." Long Che raised an eyebrow slightly. "Double happiness. I think it’s a good idea!"

Joyina pressed her lips together, smiling. Uncle had agreed; the matter was settled.

"Have they set the date?" Yan Zi still looked bewildered—she hadn’t had time to prepare anything.

Mi Xiaotian shook his head. "I didn’t agree right away—I wanted to come back and discuss it with everyone."

Tong Aino joked, "I think sooner is better; let my Third Brother hurry it up."

"Let’s finalize it quickly." Lady Jing Ya gazed at her daughter. Shuoshuo had finally emerged from Su Qing’s shadow—this was a matter best done quickly.

Yan Zi immediately understood the meaning behind her mother’s look. "Alright, I’ll start getting ready tomorrow."

"I’ll help." Tong Yao laughed, "We’ll start planning tomorrow."

Joyina glanced at Mi Chenshuo; Mi Chenshuo glanced at Joyina; both pursed their lips and smiled.

Youyou bit her finger and gently nudged Mi Chenxuan’s arm.

Mi Chenxuan didn’t even look at her before bursting into laughter, "I’m filing my application tomorrow; I’m getting married too!"

Youyou laughed and smacked him lightly. "What are you doing?!"

Mi Chenxuan wrapped an arm around her shoulder and laughed, "You poked me just now—wasn’t it because of this?"

Youyou pouted. "I only wanted to say I won’t be going to the movies with you tomorrow; I’ll help Auntie with preparations instead."

"Wow, how did our Youyou get so considerate?" Mi Chenxuan teased as he pinched her nose.

Yan Zi smiled warmly—looks like her patience was finally paying off.

The next day, Teng Ai Ni arrived with her grandparents and Ni Lu. Their arrival caught Tong Yao just as she was heading out, startling her. "Why come back so suddenly without giving us a call first?"

Teng Ai Ni gestured toward Teng Tianxiang, "Your old dad wanted to create a surprise."

Tong Yao glared at her daughter. "It’s more of a shock!"

Teng Tianxiang laughed, "Where’s Luowa?"

Ni Lu also glanced around eagerly. Upon hearing the news about the twins, she’d been too excited to sleep all night. "Yaoyao, is Luowa throwing up often?"

Tong Yao chuckled, "As long as there’s no strange smells nearby, she doesn’t throw up. She’s probably still asleep—I’ll go wake her."

Ni Lu quickly stopped her. "Leave her be; let the child sleep a bit longer..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Mi Chenxuan came bounding down the stairs.

"Mi Chenxuan, repeat what you just said upstairs!" Youyou chased after him.

The two were momentarily stunned to see Ni Lu. Mi Chenxuan quickly covered Youyou’s mouth, "Excuse us for a moment."

Youyou stared intently at Ni Lu and struggled to pull Mi Chenxuan’s hand away.

Mi Chenxuan, however, held tight, dragging Youyou out the door.

Ni Lu nervously turned to Tong Yao. "Those two kids aren’t about to fight, are they?"

Tong Yao, picking up on their behavior and Youyou’s glances at Ni Lu, roughly guessed what had happened.

Tong Yao smiled calmly, "They’re always playing like this; we’re used to it by now."
