Bigshot's Sweetie Is a Cat!-Chapter 921: How Dare You Call It Xiaobai When It’s All Gray
"You are not allowed to insult him like that."
"Fine, I won’t piss you off. Once I recover, he’s as good as dead." Feng Liyan chewed his food fiercely.
"Hmph, you criticize me, but you’re no better. And Xiaobai, looking all gray, and still calling yourself Xiaobai." Wen Xiao’ai retorted.
"Hey you brat, watch how you talk. Who’s all gray? The great Medicine King here is very much white. And my Xiaobai sounds way better than that jerk Jun Moyan’s taste."
"Feng Liyan, you’ve changed. You’ve become bad-tempered, not graceful at all. You used to say getting angry makes you old and ugly."
"Would you still be graceful after being grabbed by the neck, tossed out like trash, slapped like a ball, and then kicked out the door? Could you not be mad?" Feng Liyan thought about it and wished he could skin Jun Moyan alive.
All the humiliation Feng Liyan experienced in his life was at the hands of Jun Moyan.
"I said he didn’t do it on purpose. Jun Moyan was protecting me."
"You better not defend him. The more you defend him, the more I want to hit him."
"...Hmph."
Xiaocha came out of the kitchen, overhearing the cat and the human grumbling, looking puzzled.
Miss Wen really does like cats a lot.
Xiaocha left the dining area and went to the hall, only to see a figure rushing in as if in a life-or-death situation.
Xiaocha’s analogy was spot on; for Baiyi, it was indeed a life-or-death matter.
Baiyi immediately reached her side.
Before she could greet him, Baiyi swallowed hard, panting heavily, and asked first, "...Xiao, Bai? Did you see him?"
"Xiaobai is having lunch with Miss Wen."
"Miss Wen is back?" Baiyi looked in the direction of the dining area.
"Yes."
"Are you sure they’re eating together, not that Miss Wen’s cooking Xiaobai for lunch?"
"What are you talking about? Miss Wen loves cats so much, she wouldn’t cook Xiaobai."
Baiyi calmed himself and headed toward the dining area.
Feng Liyan had already heard Baiyi’s voice and was puzzled as to why this silly guy suddenly returned.
With footsteps approaching, Baiyi’s hurried figure appeared in the dining area, spotting Xiaobai on the table eating with Wen Xiao’ai. Not seeing Jun Moyan there, Baiyi finally felt his nerves ease.
"Miss Wen, you’re back." Baiyi came in first to greet Wen Xiao’ai.
"Yes." Wen Xiao’ai nodded.
"Well, Miss Wen, I apologize, my Xiaobai is too naughty, loves to run around causing you trouble." Baiyi stepped forward, picking up Feng Liyan who was eating.
"Meow meow. Stinky boy, who are you calling trouble?"
"Don’t make a fuss." Baiyi looked down, whispering to the Little Gray Cat in his arms.
"No trouble at all, just put Feng—put him back down. He hasn’t finished eating." Wen Xiao’ai stood up, reaching to take Feng Liyan back.
Baiyi, still holding Feng Liyan, took a few steps back, moving to the side.
"No need, no need. I’ll take him back and feed him myself."
"Eating halfway and neither full nor hungry is uncomfortable, just let him finish here."
"Really, it’s fine." Baiyi waved his hand, smiling, retreating toward the door.
"Meow meow."
Little Princess, I’ll come back later. I better go with this silly boy now, or he’ll worry sick.
"Alright then." Wen Xiao’ai’s response was meant for Feng Liyan, but Baiyi thought it was for him.
