Bigshot's Sweetie Is a Cat!-Chapter 1037: Wen Xiao’ai Is Feeling Moody
Quietly entering the room, Jun Moyan closed the door behind him, took a few steps forward, and looked at the person sleeping soundly at the edge of the bed while holding his pillow. His gaze gradually softened, and his body, weary from a night’s work in the winter cold, slowly warmed up.
He approached the bed quietly, then crouched down to look at Wen Xiao’ai.
He reached out to tuck her hair behind her ear, which was covering her face. His warm hand caressed her cheek, his thumb gently stroking just below her eyelid, his eyes filled with tenderness.
He lowered his head closer, leaving a kiss on her forehead, then leaned his forehead against hers, gently rubbing.
He didn’t dare use too much force, afraid of waking her.
After lingering in her warmth for a while, he adjusted the blanket over her, then stood up to take his clothes into the bathroom for a shower.
Soon, the sound of water came from the bathroom.
After more than ten minutes, when Jun Moyan emerged from the bathroom, he saw Wen Xiao’ai standing at the bathroom door, hugging his pillow, staring longingly at the door, not knowing how long she had been there.
The moment she saw him come out, her lips unconsciously pursed, her face filled with grievance, and her eyes turned red.
Jun Moyan’s heart instantly softened, as if they had been apart for years, though it had only been a day and a night.
Noticing her little white feet on the ground, Jun Moyan immediately stepped out of the bathroom, scooping her up in his arms, and headed towards the bed.
As he walked, he said, "How many times have I told you to wear shoes on the floor? Don’t you know it’s cold?"
Reaching the bed, he intended to put her down, but Wen Xiao’ai wrapped her arms around his neck, refusing to return to the bed.
So Jun Moyan sat down on the edge of the bed with her still in his arms, reaching to remove the pillow between them and placing it back on the bed.
Without the pillow in the way, Wen Xiao’ai hugged him even tighter, her little face pressed closely against his.
"What’s wrong?"
Sensing Wen Xiao’ai’s mood was off, Jun Moyan asked softly.
"Did I wake you? Are you still sleepy?"
"..." Wen Xiao’ai said nothing.
Jun Moyan knew she relied on him and felt aggrieved that he hadn’t been with her last night, but she wasn’t blaming him or angry, just purely wanting him to stay with her more.
So Jun Moyan took off his shoes, held her as he lay down on the bed, pulling the blanket over both of them, then placed his large hand on the back of her head.
Wen Xiao’ai lay on top of him, finding a comfortable position, and kept hugging his neck tightly, her little face buried in his neck.
Jun Moyan lightly rubbed her small head with his large hand, as if soothing her emotions.
"Did you eat well last night? What time did you sleep?"
"..."
"Hmm?"
"..."
"Are you mad at me?"
Wen Xiao’ai finally lifted her small head, releasing her hold on his neck, and instead cupped his face with her two small hands, her forehead pressed against his, noses touching, gently nuzzling.
Jun Moyan looked at her flushed eyes so close, her aggrieved expression making him feel uneasy inside.
Wen Xiao’ai pouted and pecked him on the lips, her voice hoarse as she called his name, "...Jun Moyan."
"Not happy?" Jun Moyan asked softly.
"...No, I just want you to be with me more. I want to always be with you, not be apart from you."
