"Lady Lapis, is this truly necessary?"
The question came from Vampire King Christoph as he strode beside his liege, Vampire Empress Lapis Argeryan, down the grand halls of the ancient mansion.
This estate had once belonged to her great-grandmother, Tiris, a fact that lent an air of timeless authority to the surroundings.
Christoph’s expression was grim, and the reason was clear: his liege, a Galactic Ruler and Vampire Empress, was set to act as a caretaker for a trio of children.
These vampire children were the descendants of Vampire Race Rulers far less powerful, far less influential, and—perhaps most galling of all—far younger than Lapis.
In vampire society, age and power were sacrosanct; they dictated everything from respect to influence.
That a Vampire Empress should lower herself to such a role was, to Christoph, an affront to the natural order.
"It was Sir Jamie’s request."
Lapis said simply, her tone leaving no avenues for compromise and Christoph frowned.
He respected Jamie—Lapis’ master and the one who had trained her in the art of combat—but this? This was beneath her.
Still, Christoph held his tongue for the same reason he served Lapis as his liege. Lapis was no fool; if she had accepted, there was likely a reason beyond mere obligation.
The pair reached the room where the teenagers were waiting and as the doors opened, the three figures stood immediately.
David, Davina, and Wanette greeted Lapis with the formality befitting her station. David and Wanette bowed and curtsied with perfect precision, addressing her as "Your Majesty."
At this, Christoph’s expression softened slightly, though a flicker of disdain remained in his gaze. At least they know their place, he thought. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
But then, he noticed Davina wasn’t bowing or greeting like the other two.
The girl stood frozen, her eyes locked on Lapis with a look of stunned recognition. Her words of greeting caught in her throat and at the sight, Christoph’s irritation flared.
He opened his mouth, about to reprimand her for the disrespect, but Lapis raised a hand, silencing him.
Her gaze was fixed on Davina, a glint of curiosity in her usually stoic eyes.
"Sir Jamie did mention it, and it seems to be true. You’ve sensed it, haven’t you?"
Lapis began, her voice calm but edged with intrigue and though Davina’s lips parted to speak, no words came.
"A Resonance, some call it, but in my opinion, It’s less of a Resonance and more like... Rivalry.
A ’Queen’ would never bow to another. Rather, they seek to assert dominance."
The room fell silent, confusion settling over the others as Lapis’ words made no sense to them. Lapis, however, smiled faintly.
"It’s nice to meet another Queen’s Blood like myself."
Queen’s Blood: a rare and powerful genetic trait that transcended races.
When it manifested, it granted the bearer superior abilities and dominion over others of their kind. In vampires, this trait was rare enough to mark its holder as a natural Ruler.
Possessors of Queen’s Blood were guaranteed to at least become Race Emperors.
Christoph’s eyes widened in shock at Lapis’ confirmation of Davina’s trait. His head snapped toward Lapis, disbelief etched into his features, but Lapis ignored his reaction, keeping her focus on Davina.
Christoph quickly schooled his expression back to neutrality, though his mind raced.
"For now, while Sir Jamie is away, you will be in my care."
Lapis spoke, addressing all three teenagers and they bowed deeply, their voices chiming in unison.
"Thank you, Your Majesty."
Satisfied, Lapis inclined her head and was about to turn around when Davina’s voice broke the silence, her voice tentative yet curious.
"May I dare ask where Lord Jamie is?"
After they arrived in the Pinecone Galaxy, Jamie had disappeared somewhere and they hadn’t seen his shadow ever since.
Faced with this question, Lapis hesitated for a fraction of a second, her calm facade unbroken.
In truth, she didn’t know where Jamie was—or what he was planning. After he had told her to handle the vampire trio before her, he left the Galaxy once more without stating his destination.
So, regarding Davina’s question, there was only one response.
"That, is something even I cannot answer."

"End of Existence"
The Cosmos

It was a ’Planet’.
An enigma even among the incomprehensible phenomena scattered across the multiverse.
To call it a ’planet’ felt like a disservice to its true nature, yet its inhabitants insisted on the term.
It was their hometown, where they lived and if they decreed it was a ’planet’, then it was.
No argument, no logic, no laws of reality could contest their declaration.
One didn’t argue with another on what they chose to call their house now, did they?
In sheer scale, this ’planet’ dwarfed galaxies. What mortals might consider colossal were mere specks in comparison to this gargantuan entity.
Its mass and structure extended into higher-dimensional planes, visible only to those with the perception to comprehend such layers.
To most, its vast expanse appeared as a normal three-dimensional landmass, albeit unfathomably large.
But to higher-dimensional beings, the true scope of the planet was revealed: shimmering folds of existence, swirling eddies of time and space, and cascading dimensional strata.
The entities that called this cosmic anomaly home shared its paradoxical nature.
No, it was wrong to call them paradoxical. This was simply their normal state.
They moved and interacted as if they were bound by the same physical laws as normal existences, but closer inspection revealed otherwise.
They were beings who had more dimensions than three defining their existences.
This was where Jamie had arrived.
On this ’planet’ called the ’Planet at the End of Existence’.
A man who should not, by all rights, have the ability to set foot here in his current weakened state. His power, once a force to be reckoned with, was now a shadow of its former self.
But even though Jamie had lost his power and had only regained an infinitesimally small amount of it, he was in possession of something that had not lost any of its might.
His Galaxy Sword—the fourth strongest Ruler Breaker in all of existence.
With the Weapon Authority of this ’Cosmic Blade of Dimensional Severance’, Jamie had cleaved through the barriers of space, time, and dimensions, slicing apart the immeasurable distance separating him from this place.
It had taken a toll on his weakened body, but his Zenith Have soul bore the strain with ease.
Under normal circumstances, any being at Jamie’s current level of power would have been torn apart by the overwhelming energies and many dimensional layers he traversed.
However, Jamie’s Hybrid body possessed the extraordinary ability to regenerate even from nothing, allowing him to emerge unscathed despite the rather arduous journey.
Jamie was here with a simple purpose: to meet someone.
This ’planet’ was home to one of the strongest beings in all existence—an Eternal, a being who governed fundamental Concepts that underpinned the Cosmos.
This particular Eternal governed over the Major Concepts of Space and Reality.
He was ranked second among all Eternals, a throne beneath only one.
Jamie walked into the Eternal’s throne room, each step echoing with a resonance that seemed to ripple through dimensions.
Seated at the edge of this room was the Eternal himself.
He looked to be a handsome young adult, dressed in corporate garb, with black hair styled in a simple side-parted undercut.
His most noticeable features were his eyes; triangular-shaped pupils spinning with a regular rhythm, adorned in a mesmerising hue of reddish purple. Within them, one could see the very fabric of space shifting and swirling, as if they were cosmic gateways to infinite realms.
Jamie, hands tucked into the pockets of his three-piece suit, walked up to him casually as he began speaking, as though narrating a tale.
"Three hundred thousand years ago, we made a bet about the true cause of Titan god Novak’s death.
When I was astral projecting into the Valmone Universe, I believe we uncovered the truth—that it was Kronos who killed him."
The Eternal’s expression contorted a bit and seeing this, Jamie’s lips curved into an amused grin as he continued.
"In other words, I won. And you owe me one."
Jamie walked up to the man’s throne, stopping at the foot as he gazed at him—clear sky-blue pupils meeting reddish-purple ones.
Addressing the Eternal by his name, Jamie stated the purpose for his presence here.
"Ranus. I’m here to collect my debt."
