Chapter 250: No. 2, The Empress II

"""Your Majesty."""

They addressed her with her official title and she merely nodded while heading to the forefront of the bridge.

She was one of the Strongest entities to ever walk the surfaces of planets in this Universe.

Of the Six Hybrids, the Myths of Estea, she bore the title of the ’Violet Inferno’.

Miranda Violet Scott.

Her ’myth’ was also reality—she was the Empress of the Argent Empire, the Intergalactic hegemon leading the current attack on the Perileos Galaxy.

She stopped mid-stride, her heterochromatic eyes fixing on the kneeling General as she asked calmly.

"What’s the situation?"

The question jolted the General into action. Still kneeling, he spoke quickly but clearly, his words betraying the tension in his voice.

"Your Majesty, the Perileos Galactic Barrier is obstructing our forces. It is impervious to conventional attacks. Even the Destruction Cannon powered by a High-Rank Destruction Law Crystal failed to pierce it.

Without breaching it, we cannot penetrate the galaxy to secure the objective."

Hearing this, Miranda’s gaze shifted to the window. She stepped closer, the light of the distant barrier casting faint ripples across her face.

She looked at the shimmering dome of light in the distance pulsing with a spectrum of colours that seemed to mock the fleet that sought to conquer it.

After a long moment of silence, she gave her order.

"All personnel below Major rank are to evacuate this ship immediately."

Her words were calm, yet they carried a gravity that made the air around her turn hotter.

Upon hearing her speak, the General eyes widened as realization dawned, and he scrambled to his feet as fast as he could.

"Do as Her Majesty commands! All personnel below Major rank, evacuate the ship at once!"

His voice echoed across the bridge and into the comms system, carrying the urgency of her decree.

The soldiers who had bowed their heads shot into action, relaying the orders with frantic speed. Shuttles docked on the lower decks began to load up with personnel, and within moments, the ship buzzed with the organized chaos of evacuation.

The General returned to his place, saluting sharply as he spoke.

"Your Majesty, the order is being carried out immediately."

"..."

Miranda gave no response, her gaze fixed on the galactic barrier. She waited in silence as thirty seconds passed, her expression unreadable.

The moment the second hand ticked for the hundredth time since she spoke, she raised her hand.

In that instant, a torrent of energy burst forth from her body, manifesting as glowing, violet-hued flames that radiated an overwhelming heat and pressure.

The sheer force behind the energy flooded the ship like a tidal wave, escaping its confines and affecting those beyond.

For a moment, the entire battlefield went still as they all felt this power that sent chills down their spine.

The Argent Empire’s Deities who were battling in the distance all turned their gazes to the flagship, their eyes carrying reverence as they chanted.

||Hail Her Majesty!!||

Back on the flagship, every existence on it below the High-Tier Deity realm immediately collapsed, their consciousness extinguished as if snuffed out by the weight of her presence.

Soldiers in the adjacent ships also dropped to their knees as the force of her power rippled outward, pressing down on them like an invisible hand. Those who could still stand looked out at the flagship with wide, fearful eyes, their awe and terror mounting as they saw the spectacle.

’This is bad. Anyone who collapsed now...’

The General, one of the few who could remain standing under Miranda’s aura pressure glanced at the few Lieutenant Colonels and Colonels that struggled to stand, fearful that their inability to withstand this level of pressure might displease Miranda.

However, Miranda didn’t even spare them a glance, extending her hand with a slow motion, her fingers cutting through the air in front of her.

The moment her index finger touched the space, it fractured like delicate glass under immense pressure. The cracks radiated outward, each line pulsing with energy, until a small patch of space shattered completely.

Beyond the broken veil, a timeless, swirling dimension was revealed—a churning chaos of colours that defied description. The hues twisted and shifted, blending in ways that gave form to a colourless void, their very existence causing a headache to anyone who dared to look too long.

Miranda’s eyes let out a dull glow as and immediately, above the Perileos Galaxy, the space fractured violently, a jagged rupture that expanded with the soundless echo of reality splintering.

The same swirling, timeless dimension was unveiled, stretching endlessly beyond the breach.

From within, a colossal hand emerged, its form engulfed in flames of violet energy.

The giant hand moved slowly, yet its presence was suffocating, as though the weight of an entire universe bore down on those who watched. Its finger reached the shimmering surface of the Galactic barrier, brushing against it with what seemed like a feather-light touch.

But that single touch unleashed devastation.

The moment the flaming finger made contact, the barrier trembled violently, ripples of energy cascading across its spherical surface in waves of iridescent light.

Cracks began to form, faint at first, then spreading with terrifying speed as the structure groaned against the impossible force.

The barrier shattered in a cataclysmic burst of energy, fragments of its shimmering shell dispersing into the void, leaving the Perileos Galaxy exposed for the first time in countless years.

When the light died down, the giant hand retreated beyond the fractured space which closed up after it.

On the attacking side, a stunned silence gripped the fleet. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Eyes widened as the sheer magnitude of what they had just witnessed sank in. Then, murmurs spread like wildfire among the soldiers and officers alike:

"This is Her Majesty’s power..."

"The power of the Argent Empress!"

"She shattered it like it was nothing!"

"Our ruler... this is why we fight for her!"

"With such strength, nothing in this Universe can stop us!"

Ignoring all of this, Miranda’s gaze shifted back to the General, her expression unchanged as she asked.

"The barrier is down. What are you waiting for?"

The General snapped out of his stunned trance, his body moving instinctively into action.

"All units, advance! Begin the invasion—enter the Perileos Galaxy!"

His voice carried authority, rallying the soldiers as the attacking fleet surged forward, pouring into the now-unprotected galaxy with tripled morale.

The sight of the shattered barrier—the impenetrable shield that had once loomed as a beacon of invincibility—was more than just a strategic victory. It was a symbol of their might, of their Empress’s overwhelming power, and it electrified the soldiers of Argent with a fervour unmatched.

Ships moved in formation, their weapons primed, as beams of energy and barrages of missiles lit up the void, marking the beginning of the true attack.

For a moment, the General allowed his gaze to flicker back to their Empress. Her figure was still, her face unreadable, her heterochromatic eyes fixed on the unfolding scene.

He thought to himself, admiration and awe mingling with reverence: ’Her Majesty must be contemplating the significance of this moment. Perhaps she’s envisioning how this galaxy will serve the greater good of the Empire.’

In reality, his thoughts about the Empress could not be any more wrong.

Miranda’s calm expression masked her true thoughts entirely. For in her mind, there was no strategic contemplation, no profound reflection on imperial conquest.

Only a single thought echoed:

’I wanna kiss Jamie.’
