Chapter 145: Jamie, Miranda, Ikerth

’It’s as if he views everything to be a game—a source of amusement for him.’

Ikerth was sure that for Jamie, destroying the centuries of hard work that he had invested into this planet was all just a way for the Hybrid to pass time.

It was all just entertainment for him.

And that annoyed Ikerth even more.

The man remained on his throne, gazing at the two in silence as he thought about how he had not sensed them until they were right outside the hall.

Anyone with his level of perception would be shocked that they were able to slip right under his nose, but Ikerth wasn’t.

He knew these two well enough to expect the unexpected when dealing with them.

How could he not, after all, he had spent over 300,000 years feuding with one of them?

That was a bit more than three-fourths of his life so far. A very time, even for Race Kings like him.

But Ikerth had not let go of his anger, he could not.

Jamie’s actions over 300,000 years ago were just that serious. For him and his Xagem Clan.

The Hybrid had stolen the innate powers of over 19 generations of Xagem Clan Red dragons. Putting it blatantly, Jamie had stolen their future potential.

Drained it all out from their bodies and souls.

He had doomed over half of those Dragons, to never be able to achieve the Rank of Senior Race Lord.

Even those who managed to reach that Level did not have much hope of going further. Only his Generals, people like Tasir still had a chance at reaching the Race King level in the future.

But the fact that it had taken them this long, was due to Jamie’s actions.

Ikerth himself had become a Race King over 100,000 years later than other members of his generation from other Dragon Clans. People he was born with more talent than.

How could he not hate Jamie for setting him back by over 100,000 years and dooming him to never be able to surpass his current Realm of power?

Jamie and Miranda stopped moving when they reached exactly 100 metres from Ikerth’s position.

The three of them looked at themselves in silence, a stark contrast when compared to the thunderous explosions ringing out every second outside this Palace.

No words were spoken. Speeches were unnecessary, as both sides already knew how much they didn’t like each other.

So what need was there to bore themselves with pointless talk?

It was better to move straight into action and get to the part where they tried to kill themselves.

Jamie dipped his hand into his subspace and drew his ’Galaxy Sword’.

The sword had a hilt crafted from polished obsidian and a blade that seemed to be forged with an expanse of black mist, shimmering with an ethereal iridescence.

It resembled the swirling galaxies and nebulae that adorn the night sky, and the appearance of outer space itself.

Miranda twirled a ring of purple flames around her index finger, conjuring a portal in the centre from which she withdrew her Sledge Hammer-Embercrush.

It was a white sledgehammer that had three glowing purple intersecting circles on the hammer’s front and back. It also had purple-coloured flame designs in the centre, plus a spiked top in the centre.

Ikerth’s hands were covered in a bright red glow. When it died down, he was now wearing a pair of claws crafted with excellently refined Ruindeum.

They gleamed with a vibrant scarlet hue, each claw boasting four razor-sharp prongs, exquisitely crafted and menacing in appearance. The metal pulsed with the power of the law of destruction, but it was kept under control due to Ikerth’s high level of mastery over destruction.

The man knew that using things like ’Silver’ or other Vampiric weaknesses was pointless against Jamie and Miranda, so he decided to go with something much simpler and more destructive.

He had the thought of using the Anti Regeneration bullets he had been developing in secret, however, thanks to Pirantu, Jamie and Miranda were aware of it and they’d be expecting him to use it.

Ikerth wasn’t even going to be surprised if he heard they had counters for it.

For a moment, the entire hall truly turned silent. The sounds of the battles raging on outside were blocked out as the three of them took casual stances with their weapons.

In the next second—

**BOOMMM!!!!

—Sonic booms echoed simultaneously as they charged towards each other and crossed weapons in a clash of pure physical might.

Ikerth’s left claw held back Jamie’s weapon, the powerful Ruindeum proving its resilience against Jamie’s Galaxy Sword while his right claw held back Miranda’s hammer by the under of its head.

The man’s feet dug into the ground and carved deep grooves in the reinforced concrete floor as the force the two were exerting was pushing the limits of what he could bear even with his draconic strength.

Shockwaves that rippled out from their clash had wrecked the entirety of the Palace’s great hall, pulverizing every last one of the magnificent furnishings that decorated the room.

The hall was unrecognizable, and the gorgeous lustre which it gleamed with a mere second ago was nowhere to be seen.

Windows had shattered into tiny fragments that sprayed on the floor, casting a twinkling rain of glass across the devastation. Chandeliers, once hanging majestically from the ceiling, now lay in shattered pieces, their crystals scattered like fallen stars.

As they pushed against one another, the air quivered under the intensity of their combined power. Their eyes shimmered with dull glows, reflecting their slowly surging auras.

The three of them locked eyes with each other, and in that moment, there was a tacit understanding between them.

That there was no need to drag this out unnecessarily. No need for restraint; they would unleash their full might from the get-go

Acting on those thoughts, the three of them finally opened their mouths for the first time, calmly calling out the activation words for their skills.

"""Unique Skill."""

"Child of Space." "Violet Inferno." "Lavawalker."

The moment their voices echoed in unison; an overwhelming surge of power emanated from each of them. As their energies clashed, they ignited upon contact, erupting into a brilliant cascade of intertwined colours—violet, fiery red, and shimmering space blue.

The resulting explosion was cataclysmic.

It wasn’t just the Palace that felt the brunt of their power; the entire mountain range they stood upon was engulfed.

The force was so intense that it vaporized everything in its path. Mountains crumbled to dust, and shockwaves rippled outward, flattening the landscape for miles and creating a massive crater where the mountains once stood.
