Chapter 188: Who Leaked the Information?

Ye Yanzhi furrowed his brows, knowing that the person referred to as "that person" by his third son was Qin Yanyi from the Qin family.

However, like his son, he couldn’t understand the meaning behind Qin Yanyi’s question.

Ye Yanzhi turned to his wife, intending to ask her opinion, but noticed her absent-minded expression.

"Wenting, what’s wrong?" he asked.

Old Madam Ye snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head.

"It’s nothing. I suddenly feel a bit drowsy, probably because I didn’t take a nap at noon today, and I’m not used to it."

Upon hearing this, Qin Sui’an anxiously held his grandmother’s hand, even refraining from eating the tempting little cake.

"Grandma, if you’re tired, you should rest and sleep well."

Old Madam Ye smiled and gently touched his head.

"All right, listen to Ann. I’ll go take a nap in the next room."

Qin Sui’an shook his little head and said seriously, "Not later."

Adults always say "later" to appease children, but it could mean ten minutes, ten hours, or even ten days.

Ye Yanzhi laughed and lightly patted his wife’s hand.

"Hurry, listen to Ann. Go take a nap now."

Old Madam Ye didn’t refuse and replied, "Then I’ll go rest in the adjacent room. Take good care of Ann."

"Okay, rest assured and go sleep," Ye Yanzhi nodded.

As Ye Rongyuan stood up, ready to accompany his mother to rest, she suddenly called him back.

"You just stay here," Old Madam Ye turned her head to glance at him, seemingly disdainful, as if she didn’t need his help.

Ye Rongyuan sat back down and said, "Mom, remember to call us if you need anything."

"I know." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Watching his mother leave the ward, Ye Rongyuan pondered with a serious expression.

He wondered if he was being too suspicious as if his mother was hiding something from them.

Seeing his son’s solemn expression, Ye Yanzhi asked, "What’s wrong? Are you upset because your mom disdained you?"

"Dad, am I that childish? I’m not..."

He swallowed the words "like a three-year-old" that were about to come out, as there was a three-and-a-half-year-old child present.

Ye Rongyuan looked at Ann happily eating the cake, and his lips curled up.

He leaned closer, using his fingertip to wipe away the cream at the corner of her mouth.

"Ann, is it delicious?"

Qin Sui’an enjoyed the cake and mumbled in a muffled voice, "Very yummy!"

"If it’s delicious, then eat more," Ye Rongyuan’s eyes filled with indulgent laughter as he pushed aside the encounter with Qin Yanyi and his nonsensical words, casting them aside.

This floor only had one patient in the ward, while the other rooms were converted into rest areas for the Ye family.

Old Madam Ye walked out of the ward but didn’t head towards the rest area.

Instead, she walked towards the direction of the elevator.

Lucy followed her, whispering, "Old Madam..." Where was she going?

Old Madam Ye raised her hand, gesturing for her to remain silent.

Lucy closed her mouth and quietly followed her.

Old Madam Ye took the elevator, leaving the top floor and arriving at the parking lot.

She got into the back seat of a black Maserati Quattroporte and instructed the driver, "Drive out of the hospital first."

The driver complied, saying, "Yes, Old Madam."

Lucy sat in the passenger seat, her face filled with confusion, unable to guess where Old Madam Ye intended to go.

The car slowly left the parking lot and exited the hospital gates.

Old Madam Ye looked out of the car window, scanning her surroundings, and then instructed the driver, "Pull over."

The driver followed her command and found a temporary parking spot to stop.

As she expected, just a minute after her car stopped, someone approached.

Qin Yanyi hadn’t left the hospital entrance yet.

Unable to communicate clearly with Ye Rongyuan, their conversation was like each speaking their language, with no common ground.

Qin Yanyi could only start with other members of the Ye family.

He patiently waited at the door until now, finally seeing other members of the Ye family leaving the hospital.

As he caught a glimpse of the Maserati driving out of the hospital and suddenly stopping by the roadside, Qin Yanyi looked at it meaningfully for a few seconds.

Was it specifically waiting for him?

After a while, Qin Yanyi decisively walked towards the car.

In the passenger seat, Lucy saw Qin Yanyi approaching and immediately said, "Old Madam, Master Yanyi is here."

Old Madam Ye glanced at him without surprise and said, "Open the door."

"Yes, Old Madam."

Lucy got out of the car and waited for Qin Yanyi to come closer.

He politely opened the rear door for him and said, "Master Yanyi, Old Madam is waiting for you."

Qin Yanyi stood two steps away from the car door, looked inside, and saw only Old Madam Ye.

He felt a slight disappointment.

He thought Ann would leave the hospital with Old Madam Ye.

Qin Yanyi was nominally Qin Haochen’s son, so he called her "grandmother" along with Ann: "Good afternoon, grandmother."

Old Madam Ye frowned slightly, apparently not quite accustomed to having such a grown-up grandson.

"Get in the car."

Qin Yanyi got into the back seat.

Lucy closed the car door for them and listened carefully.

Not hearing Old Madam Ye instructing the driver to get off, she sat back in the passenger seat.

"Go to his hospital," Old Madam Ye instructed the driver.

The driver quickly complied, and the car started driving towards Qin Yanyi’s hospital. Qin Yanyi asked, "Did Ann take a nap in the afternoon?"

"Yes, she just woke up not long ago and is having a snack."

When it came to her granddaughter, Old Madam Ye couldn’t hide her happiness.

The coldness between her eyebrows and eyes diminished slightly.

She glanced at him sideways and asked, "Did you give Ann vitamins and calcium supplements to enhance her nutrition as part of the Qin family’s daily diet?"

As if as long as he answered "yes", she would take Ann back to the Ye family.

"No," Qin Yanyi replied with a smile in his voice.

"I gave my third and Fourth Brothers some medicine to regulate their bodies. Ann saw it and was curious, so I gave her a few vitamins and calcium supplements to take."

"I see," Old Madam Ye reluctantly accepted this explanation, thinking that it indeed matched her granddaughter’s childlike nature.

Qin Yanyi remained composed and politely said, "You should maintain a balanced diet for your daily meals. It will help with your sleep. If needed, I can also assist you with regulating it."

Old Madam Ye glanced at him and said, "You, little child, have sharp eyes. You even noticed that."

Qin Yanyi fell silent, seemingly contemplating his next words.

After a moment, he slowly said, "Medicine should also be taken sparingly. Long-term use can lead to dependency and irreversible damage to the body."

The air in the car instantly became heavy.

Lucy, sitting in the front passenger seat, suddenly felt a cold sweat running down her back.

How could Master Yanyi know?

This matter was highly secretive, known only to a few members of the Ye family, herself as Old Madam’s special assistant, and the attending physician.

No one else could know.

Old Madam Ye’s face remained indifferent, and she coldly ordered, "Lucy, find out who has such a loose tongue."

Lucy was about to comply when someone interrupted her.
