Being Dumped by My EX, I Marriied His Older Brother-Chapter 24: Fulfilling Marital Duties
Nina Thorne’s heart began to race.
As his handsome face drew nearer, Nina Thorne held her breath. She nervously clenched her fists, her heart threatening to leap from her chest.
Justin Kane’s face was breathtaking from every angle. Nina stared, mesmerized, feeling as if her heart had stopped beating altogether.
"Close your eyes," Justin Kane’s voice was deep and husky, his warm breath teasing her nerves.
Nina obediently closed her eyes, but she felt like she was suffocating, unable to breathe.
A gentle, roguish smile crept into Justin Kane’s narrow eyes. "Silly girl, remember to breathe..."
Nina’s face instantly flushed red, and she gasped for air.
’No wonder I felt like I was suffocating. I forgot to breathe.’
"Let’s continue..."
Justin Kane kissed her, his hands sliding down her back. He effortlessly lifted her slender body and carried her upstairs.
Afraid of falling, Nina wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.
But Justin seemed entwined with her, unwilling to let the moment end.
Nina learned to respond, letting him guide her, matching his rhythm as they breathed.
The inexperienced Nina gradually fell into sync with Justin’s rhythm, their breaths mingling as one.
He carried Nina into the bedroom and laid her on the large, soft bed.
The soft bedroom light cascaded over Justin’s head, casting shadows that defined his features, making him look both handsome and dangerously alluring.
’He’s so handsome...’
Nina’s gaze was fixed on him, her heart pounding relentlessly. Her mind replayed every moment of what had just happened.
"Justin..." Nina could barely stand her racing heart. When she spoke, her voice came out surprisingly soft and delicate.
It didn’t even sound like her own voice.
Justin stood by the bed, leaning over her. His scorching gaze was fixed on her flushed face.
His eyes moved up to meet hers, their gazes locking.
The air seemed to grow hotter, the atmosphere turning heavy with intimacy.
"Nervous?"
Justin lowered his tall frame, propping himself up on his elbows on either side of her, trapping her between his body and the bed.
Nina couldn’t help but hold her breath, stuttering, "Wh-who said I’m nervous?"
"Oh?"
Justin’s voice was a magnetic tease. His lips hovered near hers, his breath warm and moist against her skin. "Then shall we see?"
As he lowered his body, Nina could feel the heat radiating from him. He was like a scorching volcano, hot enough to burn her.
She quickly realized what that heat was, and her face became scorching hot, turning so red it looked like it might burst.
Justin always followed his instincts. He lowered his head and captured her lips, his breath hot as he spoke. "We might as well fulfill our marital duties."
His low, husky voice was so magnetic that Nina couldn’t fight it. She felt like her bones were melting.
She felt light, as if she were floating on a cloud.
One moment, it was heat; the next, pure bliss.
For someone who was about to turn twenty-three and had only just given him her first kiss, all of this felt wonderfully strange.
Nina was passive, yet unable to resist the unfamiliar sensations. Justin’s hand found hers, and he interlaced their fingers, pinning them above her head.
The temperature in the room climbed rapidly.
Justin’s voice was hoarse. "Are you sure?"
Nina’s mind was hazy, lost in a daze. A soft "Mmm" escaped her lips.
Her response was both a surprise and a thrill for Justin.
Just as things were about to escalate, the sharp, sudden ringing of a phone shattered the moment, pulling Nina back to her senses.
Her eyes cleared, and she quickly grabbed her phone to look at it.
It was a call from Macy Lynch.
Justin grabbed her wrist. His narrow eyes were dark with desire, his voice a thick, husky rasp. "Don’t answer it."
Nina stared at him, stunned for a moment. Then her gaze drifted downward, and her face flushed red again.
Below his prominent Adam’s apple, several buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing the defined lines of his chest muscles. The partial view was enough to send one’s imagination running wild.
Nina might be inexperienced, but she wasn’t naive.
’At this rate, we were about to...’
’Oh my god.’
’We’re not even supposed to get along, yet just now we were so inseparable.’
’Could it be...’
’...that Justin doesn’t hate me as much as I thought?’
As Nina’s thoughts ran wild, Justin’s husky voice cut in, "What is it? Getting scared?"
Nina, ever stubborn, furrowed her brow. "Who said I was scared? I’m not."
"Then let’s continue..." Justin lowered his head, his lips closing in again.
But Nina was much more clear-headed now. The intensity of a moment ago felt terrifying in hindsight, and she quickly turned her head away.
Justin’s eyes darkened slightly as he stared at her. "?"
The phone in Nina’s hand had been ringing for a long time before it finally went to voicemail.
She was embarrassed and at a loss for what to do.
’If we... did *it*... would it be...’
’...too weird?’
A few seconds later, the phone rang again, jolting Nina completely back to reality. "Macy might have something urgent for me," she said quickly. "I should answer it."
The mood was broken. The desire in Justin’s eyes faded, and he let go of her wrist.
If she wasn’t willing, he wouldn’t force her.
Nina, for her part, didn’t notice the change in his expression as she scrambled to answer the phone.
"Nina, what took you so long to answer? You’re getting so busy these days. I tried calling you earlier and your phone was off..." Macy rattled on.
Justin was still half-lying on top of Nina; he hadn’t moved.
The position made Nina’s breathing quicken. "N-no, I haven’t been."
"Why does your voice sound weird? Is there a man there?"
Macy let out a gasp, as if she’d made a huge discovery. "Don’t tell me... are you and Justin doing *it* right now?"
"Oh my god, you two are so kinky! Doing *it* while you’re on the phone with me? You really know how to live."
"This is so thrilling, I love it! Why don’t you turn on the camera and give me a live show?"
"..." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Nina’s face was so red it felt like it would burst.
The bedroom was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
And with the phone’s volume turned up, every word Macy said was crystal clear in the room.
A smirk played on Justin’s lips. His dark eyes danced with amusement as he looked at her and mouthed, ’Good idea. I’m in.’
"..." Nina wanted to die. She quickly cut Macy off. "Just get to the point."
Macy’s tone turned serious. "My travel plans changed at the last minute. I’ll be there the day after tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know so you don’t forget."
Nina’s face was still beet red. Not daring to look Justin in the eye, she distractedly agreed.
She barely registered anything else Macy said.
After she hung up, Justin was still in the same position, propped up on his hands on either side of her, his body pressed close.
Her blush, which burned all the way to her ears, still hadn’t faded. She looked like a shy young girl, a sight that was both captivating and endearing.
Justin gazed at her for a few seconds, then a smirk tugged at his lips. "Do you and your best friend always talk like that?" he teased.
Nina gave an awkward laugh. "She likes to joke around."
"Oh? A joke?" Justin playfully tapped the tip of her nose. "Next time, let’s give her something real to talk about. I can handle it."
With that, the corners of his mouth lifted into a smile, and he finally pushed himself up and off the bed.
When he turned his back to her, Justin Kane’s deep eyes were dark and unreadable.
’It’s fine,’ he thought. ’She still can’t let go of Cole Kane.’
’I’ll just have to wait.’
