Within the sparse palace, a middle-aged man patted a young boy’s head as he smiled.

Within the hall, only the man was left.

His surroundings were sparse and luxurious, but there was no one else, making his figure seem quite lonely.

However, the man was not uncomfortable; he had long since become used to this.

Watching the young boy leave, he silently walked out of the hall.

The faint sunlight shone on his body, revealing his features.

This was the Nardo Kingdom’s ruler, King Sharky Nardo.

Sharky stood outside the hall and silently looked into the distance, thinking back over the past 40 years.

After he became the King, Sharky had first removed all of the pests which were harmful to the country.

And all of the people who voiced out his position as the King, and whoever revolted, they all had been defeated and were killed by Sharky. The rebel army was also suppressed and surrendered to him.

Following this, he cleans up the Alexa Principality’s situation, defeating each of the rebel rulers and taking their territories.

And since he became the Parizaad and Jasmine’s husband, he had built the Nardo Kingdom from the foundations of the Alexa Principality.

Over these 40 years, much has changed.

Under Sharky’s painstaking efforts, all of his Kingdom side was no longer a problem.

Apart from this, the neighboring Tolis Kingdom had also disappeared. Sharky had grasped an opportunity and acted while they were going through internal chaos, and he had defeated and devoured them.

The Nardo Kingdom was already a massive entity. No matter if it was in terms of territory, army, or the number of Knights it had, it far exceeded the previous Alexa Principality.

However, this was already the limit.

It was not that the Nardo Kingdom could not continue to grow but that Sharky no longer had the time and energy.

"Time..." Outside the hall, Sharky deeply sighed.

One wore a black dress and looked incredibly aged, like a 60 or 70 year old woman. Another wore white, and she looked like an 80 year old woman.

"Selina, Tina, leave them for sometime," Sharky said, and the other two women leave Sharky alone with them.

"Jasmine, Parizaad, I’ve come to see you."

Looking at the women, Sharky smiled and sat down.

Both elderly women seemed to react to his arrival. Their hands twitched but they did not open their eyes.

One elderly woman was Jasmine. Another is Parizaad. Both of them were the Great Knight, and have lifespans of 200 years.

But both of them have developed the same symptoms as their father had, and they would often fall unconscious.

It was alright at first, but it became more and more severe, until now, when they could no longer wake up.

In actuality, if Sharky had not been giving them his life energy all this time, they might have passed away a long time ago.

Despite this, this was still their limit.

Apart from some slight reaction when Sharky came, they did not react at all to other people.

Soon, they would most likely leave Sharky forever.

Sharky deeply breathed in and looked at Jasmine and Parizaad with a complicated gaze that contained both cherishing and apologetic feelings. He has never thought that he developed these types of feelings in the simulation games.

On the bed, Jasmine and Parizaad silently lay with their eyes tightly shut. They just slightly moved a bit now and then, as if they were listening.

Everything was calm and quiet.

After a while, footsteps sounded from outside.

"Father, Father," two voices sounded from outside, sounding low and dignified.

Two tall men walked in dressed in silver armor, looking incredibly mighty and valiant.

If one looked closely, they would find that their appearance looked somewhat similar to Sharky’s.

One was Collin, Sharky and Jasmine’s eldest son, as well as the current King.

Following him was Peter, Sharky’s second son with Parizaad. He didn’t give any child to Selina and Tina, so that no dispute started between them with Parizaad and Jasmine.

"What did you summon us for, father?" Collin asked as he looked at Sharky.

40 years have passed, and without realizing it, his little family has become big. Now even his son has a son.

Sharky did not have much time left, so he was planning on leaving everything that he had worked for to Collin and Peter.

Thinking about it, Sharky smiled.

On that day, all of them talked a lot in front of Jasmine and Parizaad’s bed.

In the following days, Sharky did not do much. He just gradually handed off various matters to his children.

He stayed in the palace by himself, looking after Parizaad and Jasmine with Selina and Tina.

A few months quickly passed.

As time went on, Parizaad and Jasmine’s life finally ended, and Sharky fully wrapped up everything.

Not too long after they died, he handed all of the responsibility to his kids before preparing for a new journey.

He makes Collin Nardo the next King. And put his second son Peter Nardo to help Collin in managing the territory.

Even though he was reaching the end of his life, Sharky still had much strength and could still travel.

After completing all of the important things, he once again picked up his sword and prepared to take the path that his predecessors had taken and explore the other side of the continent.

"Are you really going to leave, brother?"

Before he left, his brother Gary came to the palace to find him.

Gary’s figure was still tall and well-built. Even though he was nearly 70 years old, his body was still very strong.

However, just like Sharky, his life was coming to an end.

After many years of fighting and using life energy, his lifeforce had been quickly drained. Even though he was a Knight, his lifespan was not as long as an ordinary person.

"From long ago, I have searched for something, which is precious to me. But I wasn’t able to find it, so this will be my last journey to find the things or die, brother."

After Sharky had taken over the Alexa Principality many years ago, Jason had left and followed a mysterious ancient path to a faraway land.

According to him, he was searching for a lost legacy to obtain an ancient power.

It had been decades since he had left, and even now, he still had not sent any word back; it seemed that things had not gone very well.

Sharky wanted to take the path that Jason had taken, and wants to know, maybe this ancient power is the Titanus DNA.
