Beginning Of Multiverse Saga-Chapter 496: Guardian And Forsaken Both Have Fallen
Aric clenched his fists, excitement rising. "So what are we waiting for? Let’s destroy them."
He smashed through the main gates.
Lyra vibrated the security systems apart, panels shattering and circuits dying instantly.
Alastor raised his hand, and the ceiling collapsed inward, burying defenses under tons of concrete and steel.
Before the Forsaken could even understand what was happening, the Argos family was standing in front of them.
"So this is the Argos family the Guardians warned us about," Daniel said calmly. He whistled once, and the Scythe appeared in his hand.
"Yes," Lyra said, stepping forward ahead of her family. "We are the Argos family."
"Now give us Elena Stark, and everything will end peacefully," she continued, lifting her hand slightly. "Or else..."
"You will not realize how much vibration your body is going to bear."
"Elena is not some cake that you can come and ask for," Lena said coldly. "She is our team member. And before reaching her, you’ll have to cross my web."
Selene stepped forward, her gaze locking onto Lena. "Oh really? You are threatening my daughter, but you never thought about one thing. When my daughter is bullied, her mother stands behind her."
Marcus appeared beside Lena instantly. "Aunty, if you think you can take advantage of your age, you’re wrong. I won’t let anyone bully my wife."
Aric stepped forward, rage flashing in his eyes, "And did you think that if you threaten my mother, her son will stay silent?"
Heavy metal sounds echoed as armor began forming.
"You want to protect your family," Ethan said as his fortress-like gear assembled around his body. "So do I."
"Since you want to save Elena," Alastor said in a heavy tone, "Then you will understand one thing."
"When gravity wants something, it always returns to gravity." The moment his words ended, the floor cracked as gravity surged outward.
Iron Mammoth’s armor screamed as its weight multiplied instantly. Plates buckled, servos strained, and Ethan dropped to one knee, both hands slamming into the ground to keep himself upright.
"So heavy..." Ethan muttered as more armor locked into place.
Alastor raised his hand slightly. "Metal, flesh, machine," he said calmly. "All obey gravity."
The pressure doubled.
Ethan roared, forcing power through his systems, redirecting weight, reinforcing joints. He stood, slowly, step by step, dragging himself forward against an invisible mountain.
On the opposite side, vibration exploded through the air.
Black Scythe leapt back as the ground beneath him began to tremble violently.
"Your weapon sings," Lyra said with a sharp smile. "Let me teach it rhythm."
She snapped her fingers.
A focused vibration slammed into Daniel’s scythe. The blade screamed, oscillating violently in his grip. Daniel planted his feet, muscles tensing as he fought to maintain control.
"Behave," he growled.
The scythe snapped back into stability, only for Lyra to increase the frequency.
"Everything breaks, it is only a question of vibration." Lyra told him.
Daniel spun the scythe, sending a crescent of dark energy slicing through the shaking air. Lyra dodged smoothly, vibration rippling beneath her feet as she redirected the force back into the ground.
---
Webs exploded across the battlefield.
Bloodweb’s corrosive strands shot forward like living spears, aiming straight for Selene.
Instead of dodging it, Selene walked forward calmly, and not even a little bit of web stood in her way.
"Fear," Selene said softly, her eyes glowing. "Anger. Desperation."
Lena felt it immediately. Her breath hitched. Her focus wavered.
"You are strong," Selene continued, "but emotions are strings. And Selene pulls strings."
Lena snarled and flooded the area with webs, binding walls, floors, ceilings, turning the battlefield into her domain.
Selene smiled. "Let me see how you fight when your heart is shaking."
---
Marcus moved like a beast. His claws raked across Aric’s chest.
Aric didn’t move. He grabbed Marcus mid-charge and slammed him into the ground hard enough to crater it.
"No matter how fast your speed is," Aric said coldly. "No matter how much strength you have."
He lifted Marcus again and threw him through a pillar. "You are nothing in front of me."
Marcus coughed, blood appeared on his lips, then he grinned, "Good, I was hoping you’d say that." He growled and lunged again.
---
At the edge of the battlefield, Elena Stark stood frozen, her hands clenched, her body tense. She was still recovering back from her past, when she was in control of Loki.
---
Alastor’s voice echoed again, louder and heavier, pressing against everyone present.
"Run if you wish," he said as Iron Mammoth pushed back against the crushing force. "Fight if you dare."
"In the end," Alastor declared, "everything falls on Gravity."
Iron Mammoth tried to advance. His armor reconfigured again and again, layers locking, thrusters firing, stabilizers screaming as he pushed forward step by step.
Alastor lowered his hand. And clenched his fist.
The weight multiplied. And Ethan’s systems started screaming with warning. And soon, the fortress armor cracked at the knees, with a thunderous impact, Iron Mammoth was driven face-first into the ground.
The floor shattered beneath him. "No machine can escape collapse."
---
Meanwhile Lyra tilted her head slightly, focusing.
Black Scythe spun his weapon, shadows flaring as he launched forward, slashing through air. His scythe obeyed every command, returning, striking again, carving dark arcs toward Lyra.
Lyra smiled. "You rely on this Scythe, and it relies on your whistle, which is also a frequency."
Her fingers twisted. The vibration frequency changed. The scythe screamed.
Daniel’s eyes widened as violent oscillations ran through the blade. He tried to recall it, but the vibration disrupted its return. It was ripped from his control and hurled across the battlefield, slamming into a distant wall with a deafening crash.
Daniel staggered back, his hand clenched in empty air, shock written across his face.
Lyra stepped forward, vibration flowing through her feet. She touched him, and he dropped to one knew.
"Everything has a vibration," she said quietly.
---
Webs lashed wildly across the field.
Lena fought desperately, flooding the area with corrosive strands, binding walls, sealing exits, turning everything into her domain.
Selene walked through it all. Webs dissolved before touching her.
"You are afraid of loss," Selene said gently. She raised her hand. The fear amplified.
Lena’s breath became erratic. Her control shattered. Her webs collapsed inward, tangling around her own body.
Selene stepped closer.
"Take a rest," she whispered. Lena’s eyes rolled back, and she fell down.
---
Marcus moved like a beast. He struck again and again. But Aric countered it easily. He caught Marcus mid-lunge.
"That’s enough, now go to sleep," Aric said, gripping him by the throat.
He slammed Marcus into the ground once. Twice. He continued slamming him, till he didn’t lose his consciousness.
One by one, all Forsaken were defeated.
Elena stood frozen, pressed against the far wall, her breath shaking. Her powers flickered instinctively, but fear anchored her in place.
She looked towards the Argos family, who were advanced towards her together.
Gravity pulled inward. Elena’s knees weakened.
Alastor stopped a few steps away, and said looking at her. "Today, we will get revenge for our child." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Elena looked up at them, tears in her eyes, shame and guilt crashing over her all at once.
"I didn’t mean to—" she whispered.
Alastor raised his hand. "Meaning does not change the consequence."
And he was just about to end it.
A sonic boom ripped through there. Energy signatures flared from every direction.
The ground cracked again, and when the dust was blown up, it showed the Guardians arrived at full force.
Ben Stark landed first with his sword in his hand, he positioned himself between Elena and Alastor. "Before harming her, you need to ask me."
John Smith’s mecha slammed down beside him. "No one gonna harm anyone today."
Steve Taylor hit the ground in his Beast form. "Beast will take care of you all."
Clint rolled into position, weapons ready. Sasha appeared in a blur of motion, weapons drawn.
"Guardian Charge," Ben said, and struck his sword, cutting straight toward Alastor’s chest.
"You have already lost once, you’re gonna lose it again," Alastor said looking at him, like Ben coming didn’t affect him even a little bit. Gravity twisted instantly.
Ben’s momentum collapsed inward. His body felt ten times heavier mid-swing, his boots carving trenches into the ground as he forced himself forward.
He crashed to one knee, veins bulging, teeth clenched as he forced his body upright.
"See, how easy it was to bend you down," Alastor said, looking at him.
"I don’t kneel," Ben growled, slamming his sword into the ground to push himself back up.
Alastor lifted his hand slightly. The sword vibrated violently. Ben barely jumped back as the ground where he stood imploded into a crater.
---
John’s mecha fired, energy blasts streaking toward Lyra. She smiled. Vibration rippled outward.
The blasts distorted mid-air, collapsing into harmless shockwaves before reaching her.
Clint launched grapples, explosives, anything to pin her down. Lyra snapped her fingers.
The ground beneath them shook violently.
John’s mecha staggered as internal systems screamed warnings. "She’s destabilizing the frame!" John shouted.
Lyra tilted her head "Machines are fragile. They hum so badly."
A focused vibration slammed into John’s mecha. His shields cracked, and he was thrown back at Clint, both of them were rolling hard across debris as the structure beneath them collapsed.
---
Steve roared, his body expanding further as he transformed, massive muscles reshaping as his form became that of a colossal elephant.
The impact when he collided with Aric was like two mountains crashing together.
Aric didn’t dodge. He met the charge head-on like always.
Tusks slammed forward, but Aric caught with his hand. Shockwaves ripped through there, concrete shattered and steel bent.
Steve charged again and again, his elephant form unleashing overwhelming force.
Aric absorbed the impacts, sliding back only inches, then struck back. His punch, smashed into Steve’s massive frame, launching the elephant body straight through a concrete wall.
Before Steve could even hit the ground, Aric was already there. He grabbed Steve mid-air, muscles flaring with power, and slammed him down hard enough to split the ground beneath them.
"You are just a beast," Aric said coldly. "A creature of instinct and rage."
His grip tightened. "But I am the one who breaks them."
The earth cracked open beneath them.
Steve groaned, struggling to push himself up in his massive form. Aric stepped forward, towering over him. He didn’t give him time.
---
Sasha moved fast, too fast to track. Blades flashed toward Selene from every angle.
Selene didn’t block. She stepped forward. And suddenly, Sasha found that she was crying.
She faltered for half a second. That was enough.
Selene’s hand touched her shoulder.
"Your heart is tired," Selene whispered. "You need rest."
Sasha’s strength gave out. She collapsed to one knee, gasping, her blades slipping from her fingers.
One by one, the Guardians had fallen again.
Ben was forced down by crushing gravity, his sword embedded in the ground just to keep himself from collapsing. Steve lay half-buried in rubble, his massive form trembling as he struggled to move.
They could only watch.
Lyra stepped forward slowly, the air around her humming violently. The vibration intensified, focusing into her raised hand.
Elena Stark stood frozen.
"This is for Damon," Lyra said coldly, her eyes locked onto Elena, ready to tear her apart from the inside.
"No!" Ben shouted, his voice breaking as gravity crushed the breath from his lungs.
The others turned toward Elena in horror, helpless.
Elena closed her eyes. Tears streamed down her face.
"I’m sorry," she whispered. "I never wanted this... I never wanted anyone to die."
The vibration screamed louder. Lyra’s hand began to descend. And in that moment.
