Chapter 134: Revenge Began 2

"Did you know about the recent uproar over Cheng Xiong’s case?" Sharky asked.

"Yes, how can I not know about him, that’s stupid person tried to target you. I am very happy to hear about him, if not for the interference of some people, he would have been executed." Fengmei said she and Catherine knew about it.

"Yes, so I was just going to make his execution true," Sharky replied.

"How?" Fengmei questioned him. "Even though the Justice Envoy and the Security Officer have deemed him guilty, the Commandant of Justice firmly believes that he was a framed victim. There isn’t enough proof either. They can only pronounce Cheng Gang guilty at most and cannot bring down Cheng Xiong."

George’s faction was extremely powerful. They had the Qin clan as the head of the military, Imperial Secretariat’s Left Confidential Assistant Yu Xuanchong, Secretariat Director Lian Yu, Chief Attendant Pei Zheng, and many more big shots who presided over their respective important role.

They even had older supporters with outstanding moral standing and reputation from the imperial clan who supported them. How could they just let their Cheng Xiong be wrongly accused?

Murong Tong was transferred away from his vital position as the Security Officer, which already made George’s faction suffer a fierce blow. How could they just watch their Left Guard General be transferred away too?

"Just follow me, and see my magic," Sharky smiled and said, Catherine and Fengmei didn’t know what he wanted to do, but they still followed him.

"Why are you going towards the Imperial prison?" Fengmei asked, when she noticed they were going towards the Imperial prison.

"Just keep quiet, and experience it yourself," Sharky replied, and soon they reached Imperial prison.

Right Guard General Guo Zhi, seeing Sharky coming towards the prison, quickly came out and cupped his hands, "Welcome young master, welcome young mistress, welcome Princess. What help do you need from me?"

This was a glorious Right Guard General. His status and authority were much higher than the crown prince’s palace manager. He didn’t need to come personally to invite Sharky.

But since he worked sometimes for Edward, from then he always called Sharky as a young master.

"Good," Sharky nodded, then he looked and asked, "Why do you look like this?"

It had only been a few days since their last meeting, yet this fella had dark circles around his eyes. His hair was messy and greasy as well, it had clearly been a while since he washed it. His beard was also scraggly. He looked like he seemed to have aged a decade.

Guo Zhi brought them to the side. He sighed and said with a low voice, "His majesty ordered me to investigate the eastern palace’s attack, but I haven’t found any clues."

"Those assassins insist that they were acting under George, yet when they are asked how George prompted them, they always reply that they don’t know. This type of confession is clearly framing George, so how can I report that upwards?"

There were no stupid people in the imperial palace, so he knew that the assassins were framing George. If he dared to bring out these oral confessions, then George’s faction would immediately fire back.

However, he also understood what the emperor wanted, so he couldn’t say that George was completely innocent. That was why he was stuck in a dilemma.

"Okay, then you leave your problem to me. Since those assassins are all under your management right now. Bring me there," Sharky replied.

"Young master, you have the way," Guo Zhi was shocked and surprised.

"Yes, just take me there," Sharky commanded.

"Ok, young master," Guo Zhi nodded. He quickly brought Sharky, Catherine and Fengmei inside the prison.

They followed Guo Zhi down, and entered the imperial prison. There they heard a terrified and panicked voice from nearby. "Don’t hit me anymore! I’ll confess everything! I want to meet Sir Guo!"

Sharky looked around the imperial prison as he followed Guo Zhi in.

This wasn’t a standard prison, but rather a place where the palace temporarily kept criminals. There was one level above ground, and many levels below ground.

As they gradually followed the stairs down, sunlight faded. They could feel the cold and damp feeling of a prison.

The surrounding walls were all built from massive chunks of rock. He could vaguely make out some formations from their surface.

Not only did they prevent outsiders from digging in, it also prevented earth element cultivators from escaping.

He saw dark red stains on the torture instruments along the way, clearly the blood of the criminals, giving this place a type of stifling feeling.

Guo Zhi brought Sharky down. Screams of someone about to confess sounded at this time.

Guo Zhi revealed frantic joy.

The curses of others could vaguely be heard.

"Fucking pussy!"

"Do you know how many of our dead brothers you are letting down?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Your master has shown you so much care all these years. Is this how you’ll repay her?"

———

There were all types of obscene curses mixed in. Every single person related to this individual was cursed many times over.

Guo Zhi harrumphed. He seized a whip from the side and sent it thrashing out. "All of you better shut your mouth!"

Sure enough, those voices became quiet. They already didn’t have much strength left after being tortured day after day. They were only berating out of anger just now. Now that they vented that anger, they couldn’t even muster the strength to do that.

Guo Zhi brought one of them to an isolated room. Sharky, Catherine and Fengmei followed him.

Sharky sized up this youngster who was covered in blood. His expression immediately became strange. So it was someone he knew!

This Dark Sect member, Gu Yueyi, met him when Crystal introduced Sharky to her sect members.

Gu Yueyi also saw him. His expression immediately changed.

Guo Zhi said with a heavy snort, "You said that you were ready to confess. You can speak now."

Gu Yueyi’s eyes moved around. He immediately looked towards Sharky, and looked around there. He wanted to say something, but he was quiet.

"Is there anyone else, except for our people," Sharky asked.

Guo Zhi looked around there one time, "No, young master, there is no one here, except for our people."

"Ok," Sharky nodded, then he looked towards Gu Yueyi, "You can tell freely."

Gu Yueyi quickly bowed to him, and was followed by many other members of Devil Sect.

"Sharky," Catherine and Fengmei both were shocked to see this scene, they didn’t believe that Sharky was connected to the devil sect.

"Young Master, are you connected to them," Guo Zhi was also shocked, he didn’t believe that Sharky was connected to the assassins, who attacked Princess and Young Mistress.

Sharky didn’t reply to Guo Zhi, but he looked towards the Assassins, "Now tell me the truth."

"Young master, it was the Sect Master and Saintess’s plan to attack the Imperial palace and put all the blame on King George, so they started fighting each other," Gu Yueyi started replying, without hiding anything.

Sharky looked around, except for Gu Yueyi into the cell. There were many people bound to wooden racks and currently experiencing the torment of the jailers.

One of them was skinny and tall, his hair a bit red. He was precisely the Solitary Fire he met before on his way to the capital.

There was another person who had long sideburns. Even though he was behind bars, there was still a bold and powerful aura coming from his expression. This was most likely the Elder Sun Luzhen Diana spoke of from the sect.

There were some others who were scattered about in another cell. They were covered in blood, unknown if they were still alive or dead.

Sharky felt admiration for them. Even though he mocked the Devil Sect for being selfish mercenaries, these people already experienced so much torture, yet they still didn’t sell out Diana.

"You stupid brats, why are you guys bowing to this man, he is our enemy, and why did you reveal our plan?" Sun Luzhen asked, he didn’t understand what was happening with their people.

He was so angry with them that they revealed their plan.

Gu Yueyi quickly said, "Sir Luzhen has misunderstood! He is not an enemy, but he is the lover of our Saintess, Sharky, Devil of Royal College!"

"The saintess?" Sun Luzhen was stunned. He recalled that the saintess was indeed friendly with this man. He became momentarily confused.

Sun Luzhen suddenly understood. He had heard a bit about this matter. "So, for what reason have you come here," He asked.

"I want to explain, you guys need to tell the truth." Sharky replied, as he leisurely sat down on a nearby stool.

"They have already told the truth, nothing is hidden now," Sun Luzhen replied.

"No, everything you said is a lie. The truth is—Cheng Xiong used his son, Cheng Gang, and sent him to the brothel to make contact with Shuangyue. It was there that he spread the news about the emperor’s absence. Cheng Xiong himself helped you enter the Imperial Palace," Sharky explained clearly.

"Now do you understand what truth needs to be revealed?" he asked them.

"Oh, so this is the real truth. I understand now, young master," Gu Yueyi nodded.

Sun Luzhen asked a vital question. "Young master Sharky, we can say these things, but once we say them, we’ll be worthless. The palace might just execute us. Do you have any way of saving us?"

His eyes burned fiercely as he looked at Sharky.

Guo Zhi, Catherine and Fengmei with the other jailers, all were shocked to see how the fact, truth, and other things are changed. Just one sentence of Sharky.

Sharky looked towards Guo Zhi and others, "You guys also understand, what is the truth? Right?"

"Yes, young master," Guo Zhi and the jailers nodded.

"Good," Sharky nodded, then he looked towards Guo Zhi again, "Also, if you get any chance, then release them, and if not, then execute them, and end their sufferings. And remember this was all investigated by you, I don’t want my involvement in this situation."

"Of course, young Master. Actually their lives are not important. For the aristocrats of the court, what they care more about is their struggle with George’s faction, they don’t care about their lives. If there is any opportunity, I will escape them." Guo Zhi nodded, he understood that to gain something, he also needs to lose something.

Sun Luzhen said, "Thank you young master Sharky for helping us. I do not know how to repay this kindness."

"Just revealed the truth, and nothing else," Sharky said, after discussing some details with them, Sharky with Catherine and Fengmei left from there.

Guo Zhi already warned everyone not to reveal what happened there. Everyone already nodded and kept hidden this secret inside them.

———

While Sharky, after coming outside of Imperial prison, noticed both Fengmei and Catherine were quiet, they were also looking angrily at him.

"What happened?" He asked them.

"How did you connect to the Devil Sect? And when did you become the lover of Devil Sect’s Saintess," They asked him angrily.

Sharky became silent, he didn’t know how to reply to them. After thinking for some time, he opened his mouth, "Because you guys were not so close to me in the Royal College, I became friends with Crystal. And through the Crystal, I know about the Devil Sect."

"What does this have to do with Crystal?" Fengmei asked, confused.

"Crystal is the Saintess of the Devil Sect," Sharky replied calmly.

"What?" Both Fengmei and Qin Xuejian were shocked.

They knew Crystal was Sharky’s lover, but they had no idea about her real identity. Hearing that she was the Saintess of the Devil Sect left them speechless.

They looked at each other in disbelief, not knowing how to respond.

Sharky saw their reactions and said, "Alright, I’ll talk to you both later. I need to make some changes to the plan."

He turned around and headed back to his manor. He needed to inform Diana about everything that had just happened.

When Diana heard that Sun Luzhen and the others had been tortured so badly that they almost didn’t even look like humans anymore, she took a deep breath, her eyes full of guilt.

"It’s my fault. I’m the one who hurt them," she said softly, blaming herself.

For a moment, she wanted to run straight to the prison and set them free. But she stopped herself.

The emperor had already returned to the palace, and she was still not fully recovered.

Breaking into the imperial prison now would be useless—and dangerous.

Sharky gently rubbed her back to comfort her.

"It’s okay. If I get a chance, I will rescue them," he said in a calm and reassuring voice.

Diana didn’t speak, but she nodded slowly, holding onto Sharky’s words with hope in her heart.
