Robert finally stepped in. "Because they made a promise to the government. They would never interfere unless the Earth was in true danger."

"Wasn’t the Zerg Army a true danger?" Lena asked.

Robert shook his head. "Sharky was already there. And you’ve seen what he’s capable of. As the son-in-law of the Alexander family, he represents them. His involvement was enough to fulfill their promise."

It was morning, so he decided to return to his work and resume his duties. He entered the palace.

But before he could understand anything, he was shocked by what he saw—people were running in all directions, and many guards and experts were fighting.

There was no entertainment or peace—the palace was under attack by assassins.

It wasn’t just the Shadow Assassins—the Devil Sect had also attacked along with them. Almost the entire branch of the Devil Sect had appeared.

Now Sharky faced a dilemma—how to handle the situation. Because the Devil Sect also included people from Crystal’s side.

"You, how dared to attack him," The voice he once familiar, started attacking her own people. He felt from the voice, she was a woman.

"What?" The two were confused, why the Devil Sect member was attacking them.

But before they could do anything, the woman captured them using countless vines tangled around them.

"Wood element?" The two assassins panicked. Their blades were quickly wreathed in flame.

"Let me help you?" Sharky said, and then, a black hole seemed to appear from nowhere, sucking their ki dry.

There was no way for them to have predicted such a thing. The sudden feeling of nausea almost caused them to vomit.

Sharky used this chance to strike out with his finger twice, once for each guard, ending their lives.

Even though he didn’t like to kill needlessly, he was never soft-hearted when someone he cared for was in danger.

After dealing with the two guards, Sharky turned towards the black-clad woman. "Snow, how are your injuries?"

"Huh? You recognized me?" The black clad woman removed her veil, revealing her delicate face. Who else could she be but Snow?

"I thought you looked familiar, but I wasn’t sure because you had the voice of a man." Sharky felt joy well up within him. He hadn’t expected to run into her in the palace.

Crystal removed a small jade pendant from her neck. "This is one of the Shadow Group’s artifacts. It can change your voice and conceal your identity to a certain degree."

After offering the explanation, she huffed angrily. "Of course you wouldn’t have recognized me, though. You were busy fooling around with the Princess."

"She is my wife," Sharky replied back, without any hesitation, "But don’t reveal about this," He was also going to inform her more, but he heard footsteps approaching. Clearly, more guards were on their way.
