Edith was still anxious about the school’s family day event next week. Although she and Callum were sure to attend, she had to act as Eliana’s biological mother because she had agreed to be Erdin’s secret nanny until conditions allowed. However, Callum’s presence in her life actually made Eliana happy. Every time there was a family day event at her old school, Eliana always begged to be with her father. "Callum, I actually want to talk to you about something important."

"Is that another reason you suddenly visited me?"

"That’s right. He was so happy to hear this good news that he told me to take Erdin from you."

Edith smiled brightly, slowly stroking the back of her lover’s hand. "Do I look like I’m obeying him?"

"You don’t need to worry. I have plans. Of course, I won’t marry him." Edith showed the diamond necklace around her neck. "You gave me this necklace before. Doesn’t that mean I’m your fiancé?"

Callum initially wore a gloomy expression, but now he smiled happily, seeing that his girlfriend still cared for him. "Hearing you confidently still consider me your fiancé makes me a little relieved. But, I’m really curious about what you’re planning now."

"I still pretend I don’t remember anything. That’s why I’m still nice to him."

"But, what if he really proposed to you?"

"He actually proposed to me earlier."

"What?!" Callum screamed, startling his twins.

"Dad, I’m shocked!" Erdin protested, pursing his lips.

Callum chuckled, scratching his head. "Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you earlier."

Edith also shook her head at her lover’s overreaction. "I wasn’t even finished talking yet."

"So, you want to marry him?"

"No. I had a chance to negotiate with him earlier. I wanted him to give me time to think. I still don’t want to give Erdin to him. Even now, I still consider you my enemy in front of him, but behind his back, I still love you very much."

"But, is it okay? Why did you go to this extent?"

"Actually, I want revenge on him. If he’s the main culprit behind our accident in the past, I definitely won’t let him escape prison."

Callum rubbed his palms together quickly. "You’ve never changed from then until now."

"Trust me with everything. I definitely won’t let you down. Besides, my contract as your secret nanny is still valid."

His lips landed on the back of his lover’s hand. "And I’ve already forgotten about that annoying contract because we’re officially a couple."

"Don’t ruin my plans just because you get carried away by your feelings."

"Don’t worry, I will support you."

Her head rested on his broad shoulder. "Callum, can I borrow your shoulder?"

"No need to ask permission, I’m just lending you my shoulder."

"Tonight, will you really be able to come home on time?"

"I missed you so much all day. I’ll definitely try to get home on time."

"If you can’t get home on time, it’s best not to push yourself too hard."

Edith and her twins had a pretty good time at the hotel before Callum had to attend a meeting. Now they were back at their home to continue their fun activities. Edith smiled with relief as she looked at her twins’ work, which showed them as a harmonious family, making her think it was all just a dream. She had longed for her little family to be reunited, and now it had finally come true.

"Your drawings look absolutely beautiful. I’m sure you’ll get high marks."

Eliana leaned her head closer to her mother’s face. "Mom, is it okay for me to not have a father at the upcoming Family Day event?"

Erdin nodded. "Even though I want a mother too."

"I’m sorry. I really had to do this for the good of all of us. You guys should have waited a little longer."

"That’s right. If Mom hadn’t met Dad by now, I would have had to attend the family day event alone."

Edith stroked her baby’s head slowly. "Have you forgotten me?"

"No. I never forgot about mom."

"Even though we don’t look like a happy family out there, we are actually a happy family. It’s just that many evil people want to destroy our family."

"Who’s the bad guy? Should we attack too, Mom?" Eliana asked, eagerly searching for a remote control to use as a sword.

"Could it be that the witch is the bad guy?"

Edith wondered what the witch was referring to. Could it be that her future mother-in-law had never approved of their relationship from the start? In fact, her memories of her future mother-in-law hadn’t returned. She wondered what her relationship with her future mother-in-law had been like in the past.
