Edith felt uneasy about this sudden meeting. Furthermore, Zack’s sudden stalking of her made her start to panic. Even though Zack was Callum’s acquaintance, he didn’t want to be nice to him, hoping to frame him secretly. Now, she was trying to figure out how to remain calm, as if she didn’t know anything.

"I’ve heard a lot about you from Callum. You’re an entrepreneur developing an AI-based startup."

Zack slowly walked towards the beautiful woman in front of him. "I didn’t expect Callum to tell you so much. We just met yesterday."

"What exactly is your purpose in wanting to meet me? Shouldn’t you be meeting Callum if it’s business?"

"Callum hasn’t given me an answer yet. He said he needs time to think."

"But shouldn’t you wait patiently? Callum will surely give you his answer soon." Edith grew increasingly frightened until her body hit the wall from constantly backing away.

Zack smiled psychopathically, reaching out his right hand to touch the pointed chin in front of him. "Since he hasn’t given me an answer, I have to ask you. As Callum’s fiancée, you should support me too."

"What are you doing now?!" Edith screamed, immediately slapping Zack’s hand away.

"Of course, I won’t stay silent if Callum gives an answer that’s detrimental to me. If he doesn’t side with me, then I won’t just sit back."

Edith tried to escape from Zack, but she was still too strong for him to resist. He was now restrained, preventing her from escaping. Tears welled in her eyes, and her hands continued to hit the psychopath in front of her with the bag.

"Let go of me! I’m going to report this to Callum!"

"If you want to survive, you’d better talk to your fiancée about this right away. If you don’t want your relationship to break apart, you have to persuade your fiancée to become my main investor." Zack moved his lips closer to the red lips in front of him, but his action was immediately stopped by a rough slap from Edith.

"I’m sure Callum will definitely not be your investor after knowing your personality!"

"Let go of her?!" Without hesitation, Renata pushed Zack’s body until he fell and then immediately stood in front of Edith.

Zack slowly got up, holding her cheek. "I’ll give you one last chance, Edith! If you want to live in peace, you’d better persuade your fiancé!"

"I won’t just sit idly by if you try to harass my friend! I’ll report you to the police! Your actions were also caught on CCTV and the car’s dashboard camera."

"No need, Renata," Edith refused breathlessly.

"But, Edith–"

"If we report it to the police, I’m more worried about Callum’s future."

Renata immediately pulled her boss’s hand toward the white sedan and quickly got in. She immediately drove at above-average speed out of the shopping center area.

On the way back to the boutique, Edith stared blankly out the window, making Renata even more worried about her boss’s mental state. Her first encounter with a strange man and nearly being harassed in public certainly left Edith terrified, even to this day. However, Edith tried to hide her fear.

"By the way, how did you know I was in danger earlier?"

"Actually, I didn’t know at first either. When I was about to enter the fabric store, I felt uncomfortable leaving you alone in the basement to put your things away. Then, when I went down to the basement and saw you almost being molested, of course I immediately saved you."

A beaming smile lit up her beautiful face. "Thank you for saving me, Renata."

"But, do you want to tell Callum about this? He probably won’t just sit there."

"I wanted to hide this from him. I didn’t want Callum to fight with that guy just because of me."

"But I admit, that guy is really scary. He won’t give up just to get Callum to be his investor."

"Since that man is now targeting me, I want to ask for your help. Don’t let that man visit the school! After this, you must pick up my twins on time."

Upon arriving at the boutique, Edith was immediately greeted by her fiancé with a warm hug, causing her gaze to widen. Edith wondered why her fiancé had suddenly visited her during work hours. Had Renata actually secretly told her about the incident at the shopping mall? Her arms wrapped nervously around her fiancé’s broad back.

"Edith, are you hurt?"

Edith shook her head slowly. "Why are you suddenly asking that?"

"I know Zack came to you earlier."

Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. "How did you know? Did Renata tell you?"

Callum broke the hug for a moment. "I secretly put a tracking device on Zack."

"Really? When did you install the tracking device?"

"This morning when I met him." A ragged breath escaped his lips. "I know he came to you just to threaten you because I didn’t give him the answer he expected."

"Callum, I’m really fine now. Even though I was threatened, I’m still not afraid of him."

"This is all my fault. If I hadn’t provoked him, he wouldn’t have gone this far."

"But, if I were you, I definitely wouldn’t invest in a shell company. It’s especially risky for you. You’ll be dragged into a fraud case."

"Actually, Zack was sent by my father. I have proof."

"What?! So your father is the real culprit?"

Callum nodded. "I’m not going to keep quiet now. I’ve asked Patrick to help maintain security at the school so our children won’t be targeted. Seeing as he’s acting like a stalker, I’m forced to comply."

"Then, what about you?"

"So, can you give me your answer now?" Zack asked firmly.

"Of course." Callum momentarily removed the tracking device from Zack’s shirt to avoid detection. "I’ll invest in your company."
