Zhao Luo looked at his shattered sword and then saw the dual claws of the sand lion leader coming towards his head with an incredible speed.

'Should I dodge this?'

Zhao Luo thought.

Rose was worried for Zhao Luo but if she could hear his thoughts she would slap him.

Obviously, if those sharp claws were coming at anyone, they would instinctively dodge them.

As for Zhao Luo, he was contemplating whether to dodge the attack or deal with the attack in some other way.

Si Chen and Rose saw that Zhao Luo wasn't moving so they thought maybe the breaking of the sword took a hit on Zhao Luo's mental state and now he was struck with fear.

That's why he wasn't even trying to dodge the fast claws.

But who was Zhao Luo?

He had already mastered the first step to Godhood.

He was already a master of Naoli.

The speed of the claws would have been fast for anyone who was around Rose and Si Chen's level or even a few levels stronger than them.

Yet for Zhao Luo, it was starting to slow down as it got close to him.

The claw attack of the leader wasn't getting slower it was the perception of Zhao Luo that was increasing as he was immersed in his thoughts, thinking about which attack he should use to counter against the leader's dual claw attack.

'Hmm, I should dodge it then stab his neck with one of the broken shards. Maybe I can just kick his claws to break his attack.'

'What if my leg gets hurt? His claws look sharp as hell.'

Zhao Luo thought.

As the claws were infinitely close to landing on his head, he moved.

Zhao Luo jumped behind and dodged the claws.

"Roar."

The sand lion leader cried as his attack missed the target.

He followed Zhao Luo to throw another claw attack.

But before he could even raise his claw to throw that attack, Zhao Luo rotated his body to touch the sand on the ground with his hands and flip forwards towards the sand lion.

The power on his arms was so much that his forward flip happened in an instant and because of the high speed of his flip, the momentum of his turning body was stronger than anything he could throw at the sand lion.

The sand lion was also shocked as he saw Zhao Luo coming towards him in such a weird position.

"Roar?"

He was confused to the point of losing his defense.

The sand lion was hit with Zhao Luo's kicks as his feet landed directly on the sand lion's face.

The sand lion's facial features changed as the footmark of Zhao Luo's feet was left on its face while he was sent flying with Zhao Luo's kick on his face.

When the leader fell on the ground, the impact of his fall caused the sand to rise. It covered the leader's condition.

Rose and Si Chen rushed towards Zhao Luo.

They both felt astonished after experiencing Zhao Luo's strength and his moves.

"Wow, you blew away that beast in one move."

Si Chen exclaimed showing his excitement after witnessing Zhao Luo's strength.

They were bringing such a powerful guy back to their sect, he was excited because of the merit he may receive because of this unexpected event.

Rose also looked excited.

'I knew he wasn't normal but to think he was this strong.'

Rose thought.

They both were looking at Zhao Luo saying something to Zhao Luo.

Zhao Luo looked as if he was lost somewhere.

'What was that? What kind of shitty kick was that?'

He remembered the upgraded apparitions he had assimilated into his body. He remembered one particular apparition who had been using donkey kicks even after all the others had stopped.

'This must be because of that apparition.'

Zhao Luo concluded and felt a little resentful about how he could have chosen some other exercise at that time.

Then he looked at how Rose and Si Chen were looking at him with the eyes of worship.

'Guess it wasn't that bad.'

Zhao Luo looked at the sand lions that had surrounded them and realized that both of them had already killed them all.

"Good job guys."

Zhao Luo said to them.

While Zhao Luo was telling them that they did a good job he realized that So Chen was badly hurt as blood was still flowing through his injury.

"You should rest and let Rose see to your injury."

Zhao Luo said to Si Chen.

"Don't worry, it's just a small injury as we have already covered half the distance. By the way, it will be even more dangerous to rest in the middle of the desert. So let's move on towards our destination."

Si Chen said to Zhao Luo.

'Nod'

Zhao Luo noted agreeing with what Si Chen said. He then looked at Rose who was also looking at him with glitter in her eyes.

She already had such beautiful eyes and now she was even starting at him so Zhao Luo couldn't help but blush and turn away.

"What?"

Rose asked as Zhao Luo turned away from her.

"Nothing."

The redness on his handsome face was clear as the night moon.

Zhao Luo with Si Chen and Rose moved towards the leader of the sand lions who was still lying on the ground.

The sand lion was still unconscious.

He had a really bad nightmare. The nightmare started with his fight with a human. The human had turned in a donkey midway through their fight. Then the second half of their fight started where the donkey was the only one attacking and he was just getting kicked everywhere till he died.

The sand lion couldn't accept the result as his trembling body got him out of the nightmare.

"ROOOOAA~."

He woke up with a loud cry which was left in his throat as he saw three shadows covering him while he was lying on the sand.

He could feel a very intense feeling of pain coming from his face. He felt like his face was on fire.

As he focused on the shadows of the three humans who were standing around him waiting for him to wake up, he realized that one of them looked like the one from his dreams.

"ROAR."

The sand lion almost shit his pants but thankfully he wasn't wearing any.

"Calm down."

Zhao Luo said to it as he knew that the sand lion leader was intelligent enough to understand him.

As the beast could understand his taunt before.

"If you agree to become my pet, I will let you live. Otherwise."

Zhao Luo gave the offer to the leader of the sand lions and then pointed towards the corpses of the other sand lions.

He wanted to show the result of declining his offer.

Even though Zhao Luo wasn't an evil person but he had already made his mind when he saw the herd of sand lions coming at them.

He wasn't going to benevolent from now on.

But he forgot something.

Zhao Luo was never benevolent since the start or he never got a chance to show his benevolence to anyone but now he was walking on a path of power. A way of Immense power that will leave him with immense responsibility.

The sand lion heard Zhao Luo's offer and then looked at his minions who were all dead. Most of them were killed by Rose and Si Chen who were standing behind him.

He had no way to get free from this ordeal.

If he decided to fight, he would surely lose his life on the spot.

'Gulp.'

The defeated leader of the sand lion wagged his tail and moved his head closer to Zhao Luo letting him pet his head.

"Haha, what a smart guy."

Zhao Luo laughed.

He placed his hand on the Sand Lions head and petted him.

"I will call you Bimba from now on."

Zhao Luo decided on a name for his first pet. He was feeling rather too excited to even give a name to a beast that he was fighting just moments ago.

"Pffftt."

Rose couldn't help but laugh when she heard the weird name that Zhao Luo gave to one of the scariest beasts of the Sara desert.

'What a bad naming sense. I feel bad for his future child.'

Si Chen now knew what Zhao Luo was bad at. This may as well be one of his weaknesses.

'Is Bimba such a bad name? It sounds cool though. Oh man, this is so embarrassing.'

Zhao Luo thought as Rose was still laughing at him and Si Chen was looking at him weirdly.

Then he looked at the sand lion aka Bimba.

The sand lion was crying as this was the first time that he had received a name.

'Guess you like it.'

Zhao Luo felt glad and as if Bimba could hear his thought.

"Roar."

Bimba gave a low yet sweet cry.

Zhao Luo, Rose, and Si Chen got on Bimba.

"Let's go Bimba."

They resumed their journey towards the Xin Sect.
