Becoming a Deity from Planting the Bodhi Tree-Chapter 1033 - 372: Difference in Transcendence, Future Dao Ancestor

Twenty years of cultivation, Ji Jingqiu originally thought would feel exceedingly long, but upon truly coming through it, looking back, it felt as if he had merely taken a nap.

Truly, in cultivating the Dao, years pass unnoticed in the face of long winters.

In these twenty years, Ji Jingqiu successively employed three different methods to remain in Sitting Forget for long periods.

The first method was borrowing the Supreme True Buddha's collection of incense and faith in the Yanfu State, using the Bodhi Tree to temper the Power of Faith, ultimately nourishing his own divinity, and internally refining the five visceras as a Divine Palace, which was initially the path Hel suggested to him.

The second method came from Wuzhou's advice, where the spirit delved deeply into the Nether Sea, stimulating innumerable Heart Demons to polish his own spirit. Yet still not enough accumulation, he even attempted, under Wuzhou's guidance, to harmonize with part of the Heaven and Earth of the Nether Sea, thereby maintaining a prolonged Sitting Forget.

The third was his own path, fifteen years of arduous cultivation, successively tempered by the Death Demon Sword Intent, polished by the Dream Demon Dream Realm, and refined through the All Heavens Heart Demons, ultimately achieving Enlightenment, reaching the state of a heart as boundless as the void.

Thereafter, even when the Death Demon Sword Intent was aimed straight at his brow, he remained unmoved, comprehending the Perfect Awakening.

Reaching this step, he no longer needed any external objects, naturally stepping into the true domain of Sitting Forget.

Even if he were to actively sever himself, he could still at any moment step into the Sitting Forget Domain.

Yet this still did not satisfy him, nor did it satisfy or gain the recognition of this Heaven and Earth.

None of the three methods could serve as the cornerstone to open the Dao, to complete the Heavenly King Rank.

In the end, Ji Jingqiu perused all the ancient texts, and took a unique path, finding a step between Fetal Breathing and Sitting Forget, which he named [Defend Void Silence].

This state was enough to fill the void in the Heavenly King's Spiritual Cultivation.

Once the spirit Defends Void Silence, the Heavenly King Master no longer needs to harmonize with one realm, nor to nurture or complete oneself with World Power, while simultaneously avoiding the hostility of the Great Dao.

Whether it is the founding of the Illusion Dao, the prolonged dwelling in the Dharma Realm, or the later transformation of Inner Heaven and Earth toward the prototype of an Inner Universe, all can benefit from it.

At this moment.

Ji Jingqiu reeled in his line, and to his surprise, attached to the fishing line was a woman with eyes tightly shut. Her exposed hair and eyelashes were all golden, the nature of gold undying, though her entire decay could not conceal the intense divinity within.

The woman grasped the fishing line tightly with both hands, and after leaving the Burial Sea, her entire aura awakened, surging and lofty, and as her pair of golden eyes opened, though she was looking up at Ji Jingqiu, she bore an air of superiority.

"Human, I am the supreme of the Heavenly Star Realm…"

Ji Jingqiu shook off this past God entwined on the fishing line, reaching out to grasp her by the nape, tossing her into a nearby "fish basket."

Gazing at the Burial Sea below, he remarked softly:

"Old senior, do you think those external powerhouses view the beings of this realm just as I did just now?"

What he had fished up was likely a remnant deity from a decaying world within the Three Thousand Yanfu.

Judging by the intensity of her divinity, she had likely been a Middle-Rank God at her peak, akin to the Heavenly King Rank.

But after languishing in the Burial Sea for so many years, she had already fallen to the Heavenly Person Level.

"Are you referring to those Transcendents?" The old ancestor of the Holy Temple sneered, "Which type of Transcendent? Like the Four Demons of the past, Lords of a Realm who drew prisons around themselves?"

"As long as they do not 'walk into the net,' even those transcendents who imprison themselves cannot do anything to them."

The elder, who bore the title Bi Hai and who claimed a heart as vast and deep as a sea, nodded:

"Leaving the Harmonization Realm, entering the Sea of Realms sees a half-level fall."

"Traveling to other domains results in another half-level fall, making them only slightly stronger than typical True Saints."

"Do not have your vision clouded by their title of transcendence; true transcendence should transcend above all, not be confined to one domain with only partial freedom."

In these years, Ji Jingqiu had also garnered some insights from Hel and Wuzhou in the Inner Realm.

For instance, the reasons they fell in their paths in those years.

The Four Demons' fall primarily lay in the collapse and destruction of their domains, or a lack of perfection in their respective Dao paths.

For instance, in the realm where the Death Demon was, the Heaven and Earth Killing Tribulation became one, and he rode the winds of it, leading the great calamity to break through to transcendence.

But after he had slaughtered all the living beings within his domain, the Killing Tribulation passed, Heaven and Earth reverted to chaos, and his Daoist career plummeted significantly as a consequence.

The situation for Hel was similar to the Death Demon.

In contrast, the circumstances of Wuzhou and Taiyi were somewhat unique.

Wuzhou once integrated all beings within a realm into a Divine Country, making them a part of himself, truly thinning a realm to fatten himself and saw his Daoist progress rapidly, ranking not weak even among the Transcendents he knew.

But having assimilated all within a realm, he found himself unable to find peace, trapped within the domain.

Or rather...

He replaced All Spirits, becoming part of that domain himself.

Though able to be omnipotent within the domain, he could not cross the line to leave it.
