Chapter 178: A New System

As her vision cleared and her conversation with the system stopped, she finally paid attention to Uri and Xeno. The two men had identical looks of worry on their faces. She smiled to let them know that she was alright.

"Don’t worry so much," she quipped.

"How can we not worry?" Uri asked. "You have been injured too many times for us not to worry."

"I’m not injured this time. It’s the system. It’s changed. It sounds like a woman. And is apparently remembering things," Visha said.

Though she spoke nonchalantly, the part about the system remembering things irked her. She had no idea what the system remembered. She also mentioned a Beast City and larger tribes. To Visha, that meant many things were happening that she had yet to learn.

This was not the first time she had thought her knowledge was limited.

A place she considered savage might not be so savage. But how far have they come? Is it like the books she read, where they have powers, just like they do now, and things are relatively simple in terms of industry? Or do they also have certain industries similar to her former planet’s industrial period?

Because if the metal work is anything to show, then they might. However, a part of her thought they would not have guns or things such as those. Though they are capable in some aspects, they still worship the Beast God, so their attitude would most likely still veer towards a shamanistic view.

She looked around the chamber. It had dimmed. Without the crystal, it did not appear as majestic as before. While the murals were still beautiful, they did not carry the previous sense of awe she felt.

"There isn’t anything else for us to do here," Visha stated.

"There isn’t, but we won’t leave yet," Xeno said.

"We have both decided that you need to rest. We will not leave right away," Uri said.

"There are still more than 14 suns before the heavy winter. When we leave, we will rush back to the pack. We still need to fulfilt he promise we made. We have to go to the Ram tribe before the heavy winter begins so they can spend the winter with their partners," Xeno continued.

"Looks like you’ve talked about it without me," Visha smiled, though she felt slightly annoyed. But even through her annoyance, she knew they were doing this for her.

Now that she has begun to harvest vital energy, there is really no need for her to rest as they suggested. But her heart felt warm, so she allowed them to have their way.

The chamber would no longer give them trials, so they decided to stay inside. Visha was used to being in a house. And going outside now would only cause her to worry. The crystal is gone. How would it affect the forbidden zone? How would it affect the plants? She had no idea.

Only in this place did everything not seem heavy. No plants have entered, so she can only assume this place is still safe.

Taking food from her space, she ate with Uri and Xeno. The atmosphere was quiet but comfortable. Uri and Xeno were practicing while they ate. Visha was only trying to enjoy the meal. She still had to check on the new system.

She wondered what kind of new tasks she would end up getting when she left. She watched Uri and Xeno for a while before closing her eyes. Not to sleep but to see what the system looked like now.

The first thing Visha noticed was that the levels were gone. Not because she couldn’t raise in level, but because her cultivation determined her level. Looking at her cultivation level, she notices it says Crest Stage. What was that? She had no idea.

She could only spend some time looking at the library. She should be able to see whatever information she is missing there. As soon as she thought about information, she remembered the lore crystal. She told herself she would check, so she should do exactly that.

"Uri, Xeno," she called out. "There is something I need to do. I might look like I’m asleep, but I’m not. So if you call and I don’t hear you, don’t be alarmed."

She made sure to tell them because she had no idea if what she saw would have any effect on her body. Though she did not expect it to. She thought, ’Better safe than sorry.’

They have worried too much, and she didn’t want them to continue worrying.

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Uri asked.

"Just make sure I’m comfortable," Visha laughed. "When I wake up, we have a lot to talk about and even more to do."

Before she used the crystals, she kissed both men. It had been a while since they had been together, and knowing the libido for both, she knew better than anyone that if she gave even the slightest nod, she would end up in bed for days.

After everything she had gone through these days, she felt she deserved a little rough love, then some pampering. She smiled, thinking about it.

After finding a comfortable position, she took the first lore fragment. She took a deep breath and steadied herself. She couldn’t wait to see why the system kept mentioning these two fragments.
