Beastmaster of the Ages-Chapter 4176 - I Cant Do It
Empress Xia's body shook from hearing that. She turned around and bowed respectfully to the three Mi Shens. "I, Xia Yuan, thank the divine wondersky race on behalf of all the Grand Xia imperials for blessing us time and again. Big Brothers, thank you for giving Grand Xia a chance."
Mi Shen Beta laughed. "Little Sis Xia, you don't have to be so polite. This is what we were supposed to do in the first place. The Eightpart Pantheons are only able to conquer the universe and defeat ancient evils because of what Grand Xia did all those years ago. These rewards are well deserved."
Mi Shen Alpha said, "We three brothers look forward to the day Grand Xia rises to prominence. Perhaps the Eightpart Pantheons will one day become the Ninepart Pantheons.
Filled with endless gratitude, Empress Xia bowed her head again. "We wouldn't dare to even imagine that. All Xia Yuan hopes is that we will be able to find a home to settle down. That is more than enough for us."
Mi Shen Beta nodded. "Don't worry, Little Sis, since we already address each other as siblings, we are family. There is nothing wrong with being honest with what you want. We three brothers will not let anybody come close to bullying you."
"I am very touched. Thank you, Big Brothers." Empress Xia teared up and was about to kneel, but Mi Shen Gamma who had been silent so far immediately grabbed her arm and waist, preventing her from kneeling.
"Big Brother?" Empress Xia's face flushed.
"Apologies, I acted too fast and didn't notice where my hand was going," Mi Shen Gamma said apologetically.
"Don't worry. You three brothers are too nice to me. I know that I will never be able to fully repay you from the depths of my heart, so... if any of you have any requests, I will dedicate my soul and body towards fulfilling it," she whispered.
"That is too much, Little Sis," Mi Shen Alpha said, glaring at Mi Shen Gamma. "We are not like Goat Saint. Even if we were interested in you, it would come from the heart. We will not do anything as lowly as he has."
"Mhm! Big Brothers are the most gentlemanly people I have ever met, fully living up to the elegance wonderians are famous for. Naturally, the other mongrels are no comparison. If you ask me, the divine wondersky race reign supreme over all other--"
Mi Shen Alpha hushed her before she could finish. "Little Sis, make sure nobody else under the Heavenly Dao hears those words."
"Sure thing. You are family, so I am able to be fully honest to you. I hope you don't mind," Xia Yuan said.
"Of course, that's fine." The three brothers exchanged glances, satisfied by their obedient little sister.
By then, the flagship entered a patch of magma in the astralguard formation. The flaming storms ahead raged on. Mi Shen Alpha looked outside and marveled, "Even though Grand Xia Voidback is nearing its end, the astralguard formation is definitely still imperial class despite the smaller coverage."
"It's one of the few things we have left going for us," Empress Xia said with a complicated look on her face.
"It's fine. This might be a low point for Grand Xia, but your rise will come soon enough!" Mi Shen Beta said.
"What a good formation. Grand Xia's ancestors were truly wise," Mi Shen Alpha said.
"We can rest assured that the Xiavoid Stareye is protected by this," Mi Shen Gamma said.
The ship reached the halfway point of the formation, which was a gate that the troops had to pass through to reach outer space. Everyone looked ahead with anticipation and a desire for conquest.
"Little Sis, open a direct path through the formation so that the ships can emerge faster," Mi Shen Alpha said.
"Okay." Empress Xia had ruled for her whole life, but she had no trouble switching roles to become a soft little sister. She took out a cosmic relic, the Grand Xia Flare Mirror, causing it to ignite. "Open!"
The mirror shook, causing the formation to change. What she didn't expect, however, was that the formation didn't just not open up, but countless words of flame appeared before them! Each one formed a prison that blocked the ships from leaving. They seemed like dormant beasts that had just been awakened after countless years of slumber! The imperial-class astralguard formation's power was on full display, causing the troops in the ships to feel a prickling sensation in their middlekin astrons as if they were about to melt.
"Sister?" Mi Shen Alpha turned to Empress Xia in shock.
She looked blankly outside before apologizing to the Mi Shens. "Sorry, Big Brothers, I might have done it wrong. Let me try again. Since when did the number of word prisons increase by ten times? Is it because of the Xiavoid Stareye? She waved the mirror in her hand once more. "Scatter!"
The hundred million words, as if hearing her call, let out explosive booms that sounded like how the words were pronounced! The combined sound made it feel like all their ancestors had descended in that moment. The words, like provoked beasts, slammed into the divine astralships, most of which were only fortuna and maniverse class that could barely stand up against a formation like this!
"Xia Yuan, are you crazy?!" The wonderians all glared at her angrily.
Empress Xia took a few steps back in fear. "No! I wasn't the one who did this! It's impossible!"
"Aren't you the bearer of the Grand Xia Flare Mirror? What are you doing?!" As they kept on scolding her, the words didn't halt their assault on their ships, breaching many of them before crashing into the troops within.
"Aaaaaaagh!" It had happened all too suddenly. Many of the cosmic gods had been relaxing and having fun and could barely imagine something like this coming to pass. The ships exploded one after another, spilling the cosmic gods within to the magma outside, allowing the word prisons to hunt them down.
"What the fuck?!"
"Who did this?!"
Curses rang out all throughout the formation. This attack would no doubt cause grave casualties to the army!
"Xia Yuan, this is your final chance! Stop it right now!" The three wonderians roared.
Empress Xia slumped to the ground, face completely pale with fear and covered in tears. She clutched the mirror tight and said, "I... Nothing I do works..."
