Beast World: A Fragile Beauty Blessed with Many Children-Chapter 335 - 334: Bad Luck Constitution
Seeing him wolfing down his food, Yuanyuan smiled and said, "So Brother Bo likes this kind of food, huh? I’ll learn from my Fathers later and cook for you too, okay?"
Li Bo froze. After swallowing the food in his mouth, he blushed and said, "There’s no need. In the future, I’ll learn from your Fathers and cook for Yuanyuan."
Wei Ce was so angry he paced furiously inside the cave. ’Who is *his* Father? Nothing’s even close to being settled, and he’s already calling us that? My god, this is happening way too fast! I can’t keep up!’
Yuanyuan giggled, very satisfied with his answer. "Okay! I’ll be waiting for you to feed me, Brother Bo."
Li Bo quickly finished his meal, then took it upon himself to clear the table. He even carried the bowl and chopsticks in his mouth to the river to wash them. His diligence made the males of the family burn with envy.
’This Little Golden Eagle cub has it made. So young, and he already has someone to pursue. If we had met the little female of the family that early, wouldn’t we have been bubbling with happiness for more than ten years by now?’
After finishing his chores, Li Bo took Yuanyuan for a stroll nearby.
Xuyou had his brother Xu Ye as an exclusive mount, who could turn invisible and follow along. Ji Wen could fly and carry his little sister Ji Nuan. Tuanzi could teleport to specific points, moving freely between the ground and the cave, and could also teleport to his siblings’ sides at any time.
Although the three Snow Leopard cubs couldn’t fly, they had the Rootless Flower Wood Spirit to act as their wings. The Rootless Flower Wood Spirit wasn’t fast, but at least it could carry them along to join the fun.
The Little Golden Eagle, Li Bo, didn’t dare to fly too far. He just went to the platform in the clan area designated for looking after the cubs. There were many cubs here, especially a lot of female cubs. ’Yuanyuan is so warm and cheerful,’ Li Bo thought. ’She’ll definitely make some good friends.’
"The little mute is here? Huh, who’s this? Why does he look so much like Wei Fan? It couldn’t be the cub Uncle Yin Jiang brought back, could it?"
"Little Falcon, come over here! Don’t play with the little mute. Mother said he’s a jinx. Whoever gets involved with him has bad luck! His own Father was jinxed to death by him..."
"Golden Eagles are savage and unpredictable... Be careful he doesn’t lure you somewhere deserted and skin you alive to eat you..."
Yuanyuan was so angry she spread her wings to shield Li Bo, huffing furiously. "You’re lying! Brother Bo can talk, and he speaks very well! If he was a jinx, would Aunt Li’s eyes have gotten better?
Beastman hunts are dangerous to begin with. Not even the Beast God can guarantee a safe return, so on what grounds are you blaming Brother Bo for it?
I think Golden Eagle Beastmen are great! Their ferocity is only for their prey. I bet you’re just scared that Brother Bo is getting stronger and stronger, so you’re deliberately slandering him to ruin his spirit!"
"You must be my little cousin, right?" a half-grown boy stepped forward, frowning. "I’m Wei Fan, your older cousin. You just returned to the clan, so you don’t know about the evil aura of this mute golden eagle.
Anyone who interacts with him becomes incredibly unlucky. Look, our Great-grandma got sick. Maybe you hanging around him is what jinxed her!"
Yuanyuan scoffed. "It was clearly your Great-grandma who, at her advanced age, didn’t take care of her body. She went to the cave entrance to sit in the cold wind, and then blamed my Father after she fell ill.
Even a cub like me can see through your scheme. You just saw that my Father was doing fine and wanted him to keep being a sucker and risk his life for your grandfather, didn’t you?"
Wei Fan’s face turned beet red. "You’re lying! It’s not like that..."
"Not like what? An old woman was sitting in the wind at the cave entrance, and you all just stood by and watched? What if she had accidentally missed a step, fallen, and been smashed into a meat patty? Would you have blamed my Father for making her sad, or your grandfather for not watching her properly?"
Her words left everyone speechless, unable to find a rebuttal.
"We were talking about the little mute," said a small voice.
Yuanyuan looked over and saw a slender little female. "That’s right. Just now, he said his Great-grandma’s illness was caused by a jinx. It was obviously his Great-grandma who did it on purpose! You can’t just throw accusations around like that."
Even as she said this, her eyes were fixed on Wei Fan.
"I... I just said it was a possibility. Grandma sits at the cave entrance all the time, so why did she just happen to get sick this time?" Wei Fan said, his voice lacking confidence.
The other cubs chimed in, listing many instances where they had supposedly been jinxed by Li Bo.
Things like: saying one extra word to him and then choking on their food so badly they almost went to report to the Beast God; getting bumped by him and then breaking a wing while learning to fly; or just being near him and not being able to catch any prey all day.
They all talked over each other, filled with righteous indignation!
Yuanyuan looked at Li Bo, who stood with his head bowed and a look of indifference on his face. Suddenly, she understood why he was so reluctant to speak.
’When there are so many of them and only one of him, it’s useless to argue until you’re blue in the face. They’ll only believe what they want to believe!’
Suddenly, a cool body wrapped around Yuanyuan’s arm.
She froze for a second, then heard Sweet Ring whisper very quietly in her ear, "Hiss, hiss... Sis, just go along with what they’re saying. Since your Little Golden Eagle already has a reputation for being a jinx, it would be a shame not to make it official!"
’I get it,’ Yuanyuan realized. ’Since they don’t like Li Bo, I might as well make them fear his so-called jinx powers.’
"In that case, you’d all better be careful. After all, my Brother Bo is standing so close to you. What if one of you gets your head cracked open by a falling rock..." Before she could finish, a small stone really did fall from the cliff face, grazing a cub’s scalp. The wound wasn’t deep, but blood poured out.
Everyone was terrified!
"Sis, keep going," Sweet Ring urged.
Yuanyuan’s eyes glinted with excitement. Counting on her fingers, she continued, "Tripping on flat ground..." SPLAT! One of them fell flat on their face, as if kowtowing to her.
"Beast Skins falling down..." Two cubs were suddenly exposed, a cool breeze hitting their bare butts.
The cubs were so scared they trembled, wailing as they tried to flee and call for the adults.
Yuanyuan shouted sharply, "Everyone, stop! Or you’ll fall and knock out your front teeth! And no shouting, or you’ll bite your tongues!"
The cubs all froze in place.
"Wow, my Brother Bo really is powerful. His bad luck is targeted, you know. If you bully him again, you’d better watch out for getting jinxed yourselves," Yuanyuan said with a grin.
The group looked like they wanted to cry but had no tears left. They wouldn’t dare do it again. The Little Golden Eagle was too vicious! From now on, they would definitely take a detour whenever they saw him!
"Brother Bo, I’m sorry... I think I might have made your reputation even worse," Yuanyuan said sheepishly, watching the cubs who looked like they wanted to be as far away from them as possible.
"It’s okay. They aren’t important people. We never would have played together anyway, and now we definitely won’t," Li Bo said, shaking his head with a smile. His eyes sparkled as he looked at Yuanyuan. "You were amazing just now, Yuanyuan."
"Right? I think so too. So, you have to learn from this." Yuanyuan spoke earnestly, like a little adult. "Beastmen these days just like to bully the weak. As long as you’re strong, they won’t dare to say a word."
As she spoke, she stuffed a stack of talismans into Li Bo’s arms. "These are Defense Talismans, Attack Talismans, Teleportation Talismans, Speed Talismans, and Invisibility Talismans. Take them for self-defense. Brother Bo, you have to grow up strong and well!"
