Chapter 469: Chapter 415: Setting the Tiger Against the Wolf

The crowd listened and were collectively shocked, astonished by the unexpected developments. Indeed, it seemed their recent advice was completely ignored.

Li Tie Niu and the others exchanged glances, preparing to dissuade him once more, but Chu Chen raised his hand to interrupt them.

"Alright, I won’t joke around with your lives. It’s time I show you my strength." With that, he summoned Nirvana.

The group observed with curiosity as the Guardian Beast released an unsettling aura.

Its strength was undoubtedly King Level, but relying on just one King-Level Beast to fight the horde seemed like a death wish.

"Commander, if we don’t leave now, it will be too late," Li Tie Niu urged loudly.

Unfazed, Chu Chen signaled for silence and replied with a smile, "Don’t worry, it hasn’t even started yet." Then he patted the insect legs of Nirvana as a signal to begin.

Nirvana wasted no time and unleashed the corpses of the Star Beasts from the Spatial Bracelet.

Li Tie Niu and the others stared at the mountains of corpses in shock, followed by a deep sense of confusion.

"What’s the commander planning? Is he thinking of feeding the beasts to death?"

"Don’t speak nonsense, he probably intends to use these corpses to build a wall."

"Take a good look — these corpses were Monarch Level in life."

"You’re right. If these corpses were sold, they’d be worth billions."

"This is extravagant. What exactly is the commander planning?"

As they speculated on Chu Chen’s intent, Nirvana suddenly opened its jaws and exhaled a grayish-white mist.

Moments later, the corpses on the mound began to move slowly.

This sight startled everyone once more.

"Oh my, how are these corpses coming back to life? Could they be zombies?"

"No, this should be an Undead Element Guardian Beast," a knowledgeable soldier recognized Nirvana’s nature.

As the minutes passed, the entire Undead Army revived, numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

Li Tie Niu and his cohort stared at the densely packed Undead Army, feeling an intense chill down their spines.

Chu Chen observed this and asked with a smile, "Now, will you join me in battle?"

"W-We will. We swear to follow you to the end," stammered Li Tie Niu.

"Alright, let’s see your strength. If you’re all just flatterers, don’t blame me for being harsh," Chu Chen said firmly.

Only then did Li Tie Niu and the others fully comprehend the situation, quickly assuring, "Don’t worry, we won’t let you down."

Chu Chen merely nodded before raising his hand and inquiring softly, "Shadow Kill, where are Yan Xiang and the others?"

Shadow Kill pointed east and vanished instantly with a flap of its insect wings.

Chu Chen immediately instructed, "Nirvana, leave fifty thousand Undead here and ambush the rest on the north and south sides."

"Understood, Master," Nirvana responded gravely.

Once Chu Chen had positioned the Undead Army, Li Tie Niu cautiously asked, "Commander, what should we do?"

Chu Chen replied with a smile, "You guys just watch the show for now."

"Huh? Watch the show?" Li Tie Niu repeated nervously, thinking he heard wrong.

"Yes, just watch, I’ll perform a grand spectacle of leading wolves to attack tigers for you."

Hearing this, Li Tie Niu and the others exchanged bewildered glances, not daring to ask further questions.

By this time, the beast horde had already charged forward. When they saw the lifeless Undead Army, they stopped in their tracks.

Clearly, this sight was beyond their understanding.

Before they could recover, Chu Chen commanded loudly, "Nirvana, attack!"

At his command, the Undead Army hidden to the south and north surged out instantly.

Now, the Undead Army occupied the western, southern, and northern fronts, leaving the beast horde with only two paths.

The first was to fight the Undead Army to the death.

The second was to flee eastward as swiftly as possible, clinging to a sliver of hope.

But at this moment, the horde was paralyzed by shock, not even considering that option, and stared at the Undead Army in terror.

Chu Chen simply had Nirvana surround them, without issuing an attack order.

Thus, a fight did not break out; a nudge in awareness was all it would take for the beasts to choose their action.

Chu Chen told Li Tie Niu and the others behind him, "It’s your turn to act now."

The soldiers were momentarily puzzled.

"Act how?"

This was the question in every soldier’s mind.

Seeing this, Chu Chen said sternly, "How do you usually shout during combat? Do it the same way now. Spread out and shout with all your might."

Realizing what was happening, Li Tie Niu and the others reacted. Though bewildered by the commander’s scheme, their duty was absolute obedience to command.

"Charge!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Shouts resounded from behind the Undead Army.

Hearing these cries, something triggered within the beasts; suddenly alert, they faced the overwhelming Undead Army and promptly turned to flee eastward.

Seeing this, Chu Chen breathed a sigh of relief, immediately ordering Nirvana, "Pursue them, maintain a good distance — not too far, not too close."

Then, turning to Li Tie Niu and the others, he said, "Follow behind the Undead Army. Don’t stop shouting until I say so."

The group could only continue their shouting.

The horde fled as Chu Chen and the others pursued.

They maintained a delicate distance between them throughout.

The beast horde, now scared out of their wits, fled with every ounce of energy they had.

Before long, a quarter of an hour had passed.

Shadow Kill reappeared beside Chu Chen.

"Master, we are one kilometer from Yan Xiang."

Upon hearing this, Chu Chen called out to Li Tie Niu and the others, "That’s enough. Stop now."

Everyone immediately ceased their chanting, hastily drank from their canteens to soothe their parched throats, and sighed in relief.

After shouting all the way, their throats were hoarse and dry.

Chu Chen, ignoring Li Tie Niu and company, continued his orders, "Nirvana, pursue for another two hundred meters, then stop immediately."

At this point, the beast horde, like startled wild horses, didn’t care whether the Undead Army pursued — their only focus was fleeing east.

A minute later, the horde collided with Yan Xiang and his forces.

Seeing this, Yan Xiang’s face changed drastically. He cursed under his breath at his bad luck.

"Damn that wretched woman, why is the beast horde here?"

Before he could figure it out, the frenzied beast horde charged them headlong.

Realizing now was not the time for questions, he immediately commanded his forces.

Thus, the battle between the two sides commenced.

Hiding at a distance, Chu Chen listened to the sounds of battle, then instructed Nirvana to retract the Undead Army, before ordering Li Tie Niu and the others to retreat.
