Chapter 120: Scene CXX

The men instantly moved to follow the order. Along with those from Kleifar that wondered about the exciting danger to come.

"Oi. Ya heard that? We get to hunt this fast. The furs will look good on my mount." — Vinka told the uninterested siblings that finished sharpening their weapons out of boredom that morning.

"... It’s taste’ that matters."

"Their roots brother. If their roots are weak then the taste will be dull." — The younger brother Auflulk corrected Yngve, curious and cautious in a whisper as the other men were observed.

"... They are from up the boulder. Its taste shouldn’t be better than from below."

"Ai... That Myrkzver always said the food from up and further north is bull... should have eaten more yesterday." — Vinka said, annoyed to think her tongue could suffer in this travel. However, her frown disappeared once the sight of the soft Ewelina was caught. Smacking her lips as if finding the actual hunt. — "Look there. Ewelina’s around... alone with the coward brakian mainglousse..."

"..."

"I’ve touched her hips. The softer I’ve felt of a fellow female... That Myrkzver’s lucky." — The wild woman declared unpleased, recalling the glare after her wrist was about to be broken at the feast at the Altar.

"Ya also want to get between her legs, Vinka?" — Auflulk inquired bluntly after glancing at his silent brother.

"... Wish I could. But that Myrkzver won’t let it happen. My head will be open before that... Can’t believe he didn’t even know what men and women do together. Tried to get him inside me many times and never got tha track, that effing he-goat." — She mumbled overly honest with disgust at her failure. Taking a moment to process that word Auflulk had used. — "... Who else wants to tangle with her? Auflulk, ya already know of the pleasure a woman can give??"

"I’ve heard the older men say that. It’s Brother who feels for the Female Myrkzver– ack!"

"Shut it... bull comes whenever you speak lately Auflulk."

Almost a growl came out as he warned the sibling with a smack to his nape. Going back to focus on his axe, unknowingly peeking at the Veener woman that while pacing along the brakian child came to meet her spouse again. Looking downwards as a guilt the savage Yngve was ignorant of made it look different in his eyes, causing his eyes aversion... for conflict commenced in his being.

The wild woman that had quietly watched his behaviour then smirked, starting to ask what her curiosity wanted to know.

"Ya sure ya don’t want to get between her legs? Even a big hunt you offered in her honour... You. Yngve. Who even at Auflulk’s return did not go for a hunt to celebrate."

"... My wounds healed faster with tha female’s care. Wild men we are and the earth raised us while demanding appreciation with bloody offerings... Roots. My roots had to be shown in exchange, Vinka." — Glaring down at the entertained woman, Yngve had raised from the ground to warn the woman with his fierce hues. Turning to his brother to gesture the cue to join the upcoming march. — "Auflulk. Come."

"Ai."

"..."

A wild woman’s eye followed the fellow villagers go. Coming back to watch an Archduke couple, awkwardly talk to an energetic child.

"Fun times. Hunt is everywhere... blessed thee earth." — Vinka said. Expectant of chaos.

"Master’s Wife was red and teary-eyed because of a yawn, Master! Better rest she needs! Sleep is necessary to play during the day. Master’s Wife often reminds Nu of that!" — Telling her mind to her master, the child said with wide manifestations of her short arms. — "Master better care for Master’s Wife while riding Litilmenni!"

"... Mh. I get it kid. Go to your horse now."

"Master has to promise!"

"..."

"I promise. Get to your mount before I take it back."

"?! Ai!" — Delighted to get the promise out of her admired Master the child perked up. Unaware of the embarrassment her intentions produced in the seemingly calm woman that silently listened to their exchange as her inner lip was bitten out of remorse.

’Goodness, child! That tongue of yours shouldn’t have said so much!’ — Feeling how the blush strengthened as she heard the little steps run obediently to the spouse’s warning, Ewelina lamented. Unable to lift her head as she was now alone with her man.

"..."

Silence between them continued after the two were left on their own, yet also unable to utter a word for conflict confused Aslak on what to say first, the man eventually decided to move instead of telling a thing when the mood would not even permit the couple to cross gazes.

His hand went for hers and moved Ewelina to reach the steed he had been previously brawling against. Not even receiving a response from the wife out of the surprise his action caused.

’Darned be the earth for making my lung a difficult one...’

’!! Oh, good lord... tell me he’s not upset...!’ — Tightening her eyes shut, she prayed. Unaware that her behaviour was not upsetting the man because of unbecoming manners, but because its sweetness provoked the man in ways he was ignorant it could be as charming and hazardous to endure.

The place where the steed remained was quickly reached by his strides that still were conscious of her short ones, and the proud Litilmenni’s head moved, snorting its welcome to the woman he had previously helped escape his selfish owner.

A glare was shared between the beast and the man as he moved to its side. Filling the silence of the couple with its snorts it stood proudly, aware that as the other animals, he was to be ridden again.

And so, making sure its mount was secure, Aslak turned to the woman he had temporarily released, only to quietly lift her in menacing air with the rough hands she was accustomed to feel on her flesh.

"!?" — Quickly settling her over the steed, Aslak then jumped to seat behind her. Quickly and swiftly moving her to collide against his body to finally utter his thoughts and end the tension between the two.

"Now you cannot escape me. And you cannot separate from me, Fatædi... because the path is more dangerous than my lust... Understood?"

The growl in her ear made the woman shiver as his hand pressed her stomach to make her back sink against Aslak’s body.

The thrill of his warning was delightful a tremble her abdomen felt... and shy to the warm breath waiting for her reply on her nape, Ewelina shrank, swallowing the desire it invoked to nod a timid puff of a response.

"... yes..."

"... Will you stay fixed to my side?"

"... y-yes..."

"No more escaping?"

"..... yes..."

"... Good wife." — Placing a kiss on her cheekbone the severe man said. Becoming softer in sound to tell an apology he knew should be told. — "I’m sorry to be rough... I never thought I would be bitten because of my eagerness, wife."
