Chapter 101: Scene CI

"Fatædi... Stay..."

"... It is enough..." — Also receiving his kiss on her cheek Ewelina, stood graciously from his lap. Stroking the man’s neck as her hands drifted away, solely to change from a seducing demeanour into a playful one while she turned to walk away. — "Husband... You should not stay barefoot."

"Sigh... Odd woman." — Aslak exhaled heavily as curls hid the pleased dimple of the dainty woman.

The many ways Ewelina behaved when with him could not be completely grasped by his comprehension yet. The shyness that at times appeared... And the outward seduction that at night easily wrapped him further into pleasure... The playful temptation mixed with graceful elegance along with the innocence she continued to possess even after heated tanglings with her spouse, were little pieces of her person he was still discovering yet already appreciated although they were a source of confusion for his simple mind.

"... Although she’s weak... She can carry that much wood, huh." — Observing how she immediately offered help, Aslak smirked pleased at what he had not expected from a northern Lady.

Yet he was indeed a simple man. One who ignored the past of his fated lung.

’My Fatædi is unique to the earth... Those women from her lands are not like Ewelina.’

Proud he felt at the thought and certainly enhanced his excitement.

’Where to take her...’ — Aslak then thought, not letting his gaze go off from the woman who had folded her cloak to help better with preparations. Witnessing how some men and women took notice of his gift around her arm while with a graceful attitude blushed as she received comments about it.

’Somewhere no one can see... How I make her whole body red...’ — Licking his lips to the image he has seen often these last few days, Aslak tensed up in anticipation of their furtive escape for privacy.

"Darn it, Fatædi... Maybe I should search for more gemstones to gift you." — The man mumbled, as he watched how with a youthful smile her hand caressed the accessory flaunting its many gemstones around her arm to those admiring it.

The idea for more gifts to offer emerged suddenly at the nice sensation the sight of the shyly lifted corners on her visage provoked. And yet, he also decided where to take her, aware that if the Tribe’s Head was informed... No soul would interrupt the man and woman.

His eyes continued to watch her. And their gazes would meet at times as Ewelina would take brief glances, aware of the intensity and the intent stare of the spouse seating wildly, still barefoot so she would frown or reprimand him in vain... only so he could tease his fated lung.

Careful of not causing true rage, as he had tasted how harmful such a state of the woman was to his breathing.

The remembrance lightly bothered the barbaric leader, yet it could not get to settle in his mood as many savages arrived, making wild noises of victory as they carried three huge beasts.

"Aie! Myrkzver!" — The leading warlock enthusiastically yelled, grinning at the sight of the Archduchess helping the other savages. — "A feast was led by the Earth!! It ought to be because of your female’s mesh with Sortnafeigr!!"

"That at least it knows, this effing dirt." — Standing to receive the many savages, Aslak smirked with a sarcastic tease to the other Leader, glancing at the woman who halted her help to also receive the hunters. In awe... For she had never seen such enormous beasts before.

Jumping from the stone his wooden throne stood, he paced to join the woman in his meeting with the warlock.

"Fatædi, come–"

"Ewelina! Look! We’re gonna burst our stomachs eating today!" — An energetic Vinka Fahh loudly told the Archduchess as soon as she caught sight of her. While helping to carry one of the beasts to eat.

"Haha. I can see that, Vinka. You appear joyful to join the hunt today."

"Aie~ I’ve been yearning to satiate the thirst of my blade. This was a nice hunt." — Without struggling, she bent along the others to lower the hunt, shaking her bloody hands as she walked towards Ewelina. — "Been few days since I last saw ya. What you been up–... to. Release my wrist Myrkzver."

"Don’t touch my wife. Much less with bloody hands, Vinka Fahh." — Glaring at the wild woman whose guard also lifted, Aslak growled. Releasing Vinka to meet his nervous woman’s expression... Who graciously hid her appreciation with a shy aversion of her gaze.

"It does feel long since I last saw you, Vinka. Yet, as usual, your spirits are high. I am glad."

"Hmph. Ya better come as often, although you could do without this ape Myrkzver mate you have." — Still upset at Aslak, Vinka answered.

"Shut the mouth, Vinka."

"Then cut it, only then truth won’t come out, ape."

"... Well, that will prove difficult, Vinka." — Staring at the two glare at each other, Ewelina then decided to interrupt their tense air. Dainty taking the clenched hand of the man beside her, standing menacing against the wild woman. — "I need my mate to fall down to this village. It is my wish to get used to that activity so..."

"..."

"See? Wife also said to shut it."

"!"

Smirking in victory, Aslak took advantage of his wife’s sweetness, sliding his hand from hers to take her waist and stand proud.

"I did not say that."

"Hmph. She did not say that. Hah." — Vinka repeated.

The pair of savages’ glares continued and aware of the lost cause it would be for Ewelina to intercede, she drifted her sights to look at the busy tribe members aid with the other hunt brought. Catching a glimpse of that other savage she had recently made peace with.

"...? Yngve? Goodness, he brought that beast almost on his own."

"What?"

"Ah... I told him in your stead to be careful. He wouldn’t listen, Ya see..." — Vinka replied to Ewelina’s disbelief. Ignoring the deep frown of Aslak at Yngve’s mention as she turned to call for his attention. — "Oi! Yngve! Come here!"

A brow raised in the summoned man who walked with his axe in hand towards the group awaiting him.

"You’re in trouble. Haha."

"... Veener Myrkzver." — Tilting his head in wild greeting, Yngve joined them. — "... And Myrkzver."

"Good day. Are your injuries completely healed already? I believe I told you to be cautious."

"I’m healed. No more concern is needed from you, Female Myrkzver."

"Alright. If you say it I am glad to hear that."

"Humh... In your absence, I finished healing."

"I see."

"It doesn’t hurt."

"Then it truly healed. That is good."

Tame, the man that glanced at her spouse with displeasure spoke calmly solely to the woman. Telling more than typical and clearly holding back his instincts against her husband just as the spouse standing next to her did... Unsettled by the scene Ewelina was showcasing along with his fellow feral men.
