Back To The 90s: The Resilient Daughter-In-Law-Chapter 2027 - 2045: I’m Unmarried
"What are you looking at? If you’re not eating, give it to me." Li Erhua was a fast eater, and when she looked up after finishing her bowl of noodles, she noticed her daughter had barely touched hers.
Shen Zian snapped back to reality, "I can only give you half."
Getting half made Li Erhua feel as if the sun had risen from the west; before, she wouldn’t have gotten even a single seed from her daughter unless she snatched it.
"Alright, alright!"
Shen Zian used her chopsticks to divide half of her noodles for Li Erhua, bowing her head to eat while pondering how to get in touch with Ji Yuanjie. Jumping in front of him and claiming she’s Shen Zian would definitely make her seem crazy.
She had to think of a way; otherwise, with her current identity, she wouldn’t be able to reach her old social circle.
The three people who walked in had their eyes all fall on Shen Zian.
Ji Yuanjie was momentarily dazed; at first glance, he seemed to see Zi’an sitting before him. Looking closely, it was a very young girl, with fair skin and almond-shaped eyes that were lively and animated, unflinching even when stared at. Her poised demeanor showed she wasn’t raised by an ordinary family, but her clothes didn’t match up with his initial impression.
Ji Yuanjie was slightly surprised; it was rare for anyone to catch his attention. As he turned his head, he noticed both Su Hai and Gong Liping were looking at the young girl too!
These two bachelors.
Ji Yuanjie internally scorned, giving Su Hai a nudge with his elbow, his eyes saying, "I didn’t expect you to be such a Foxy Su."
Su Hai smiled gently, stepping forward to sit opposite Shen Zian.
Shen Zian was taken aback. What did this guy mean? Was he still holding a grudge from when they bumped into each other on the train?
How petty.
"Hello!" Su Hai smiled, his handsome face making his smile all the more disarming.
Not only Shen Zian, but even Ji Yuanjie and Gong Liping were dumbfounded. It was too unusual, even though Foxy Su liked to put on a front of being genteel and approachable, he’d never initiate a conversation with strangers.
Especially with a girl who seemed seventeen or eighteen.
Foxy Su was already thirty-one, how could he have the nerve?
"Uh... hello." Shen Zian murmured internally, pretending to be calm: "Can I help you with anything?"
Li Erhua couldn’t take her eyes off Su Hai, whispering in Shen Zian’s ear, "Daughter, this young man is very handsome. Go for him, go for him. I promise I’ll support you."
Shen Zian nearly got struck by lightning after hearing that. Even if she had fallen on hard times now and her family was forcing her into blind dates with soldiers, she didn’t need to consider Su Hai, did she?
The thought of it was absurd.
"What are you talking about?" Shen Zian whispered back, "For all we know, he might already be married."
Su Hai propped his chin with one hand, leisurely saying, "I’m not married."
Shen Zian’s eyes widened, "You’re not married, and what’s that got to do with me?" If she could, she’d like to touch his forehead to see if Su Hai was feverish.
Su Hai gazed at her deeply, a teasing smile on his face.
Shen Zian’s scalp tingled under his gaze, instinctively turning to look at Ji Yuanjie, only to find him casually ordering food with the owner, oblivious to the fact that she was being provoked by her arch-nemesis. She gritted her teeth, realizing Ji Yuanjie didn’t recognize her at all.
Of course, he wouldn’t team up with her.
In the instant Shen Zian turned her head, she missed the slight narrowing of Su Hai’s eyes.
