Chapter 360: Chapter 360: So She Was Actually This Rich

Ma Qiaolan shrugged carelessly, "They can’t hear us anyway."

Feng Hui asked with a smile, "What if they do? Wouldn’t you be embarrassed?"

One sentence immediately shut Ma Qiaolan up.

The school bell suddenly rang, and the four girls settled into their seats.

When school was out in the afternoon, Gu Jin waved goodbye to her three friends and walked out of the school gate to catch a taxi to Jiulan Hall.

These days, Jiulan Hall had almost been tidied up by Liang Xia, with all the ordinary herbs in the hall sorted and organized.

Now, only the second floor needed her personal attention. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

There was no helping it; all those precious and rare herbs were stored in her space, and she could only find a chance to take them out.

Today was a perfect opportunity.

Arriving at Jiulan Hall, Gu Jin stood in front of the three-story building, looking at the modern sign covered with red cloth.

This custom-made sign had been delivered a couple of days ago and had been covered with red silk since its arrival, just waiting to be unveiled at the opening.

The imposing and majestic stone lions at the entrance had been sent by Qiu Qianghai, adding a grand atmosphere to the front.

Gu Jin stepped into Jiulan Hall, where Liang Xia was cleaning the counter, unaware of her arrival.

"Brother Liang."

Liang Xia turned around at the sound of her voice, his face lighting up with a smile.

"Gu Jin, you’re here!"

Gu Jin nodded to him and placed her backpack on a nearby rattan chair.

"Brother Liang, someone will bring the herbs for sale on the second floor later. I’ll stay here to mind them; could you go to Mr. Qiu and help me retrieve the business license?"

"Sure, where is Mr. Qiu now?"

Gu Jin gave Liang Xia the address of Qiu Qianghai’s current location, handed him the taxi fare, and saw him out of Jiulan Hall.

Watching him leave in the taxi, she turned back and walked toward the second floor.

On the second floor, she took out the rare herbs from her space: ginseng, Polygonum multiflorum, Lingzhi, Heavenly Mountain Snow Lotus, Ancient Vine Flower, Myriad Spirit Grass, Jade Dragon Blood Fruit, Hundred-step Soul Reviving Grass.

Gu Jin first organized the ginseng; these were carefully selected by her.

None were particularly large, all were the common sizes found on the market.

Knowing Qiu Qianghai had an auction at the end of the year where he planned to sell his ginseng for a good price, she naturally wouldn’t block his path.

She placed over ten ginsengs in exquisite, grand gift boxes carved with a phoenix in fine gold and arranged them on the display cabinet.

Then she organized the other herbs. Those that couldn’t fit into gift boxes were placed in transparent glass containers.

After tidying up, Gu Jin assessed the precious herbs on the display cabinet.

She roughly estimated their value to be in the small two million range.

It’s a startling surprise when counting; unknowingly, she had amassed such assets.

Finally, she took one last look at the beautifully and expensively arranged precious herbs and turned downstairs.

Gu Jin waited downstairs for Liang Xia, who had gone out to fetch the business license.

Taking the thin piece of paper from his hand, she placed it into a prepared frame in the hall and secured it.

"The herbs delivered upstairs have been organized. Come up with me to check them out and jot down the prices."

"Great!"

Hearing the herbs had arrived upstairs, Liang Xia’s eyes lit up.

He was well aware of the value of herbs that could be stored on the second floor.

Facing his amazed and bright-eyed expression after going upstairs, Gu Jin succinctly informed him of the prices.

She only explained once, then encouraged him to study the herbs further and consult medical books if needed.

Having done all she needed, Gu Jin left Jiulan Hall.
