Baby System: I'm the Beast World's Only Hope!-Chapter 59: Episode : Who Touched me?
"Rule Number One: No flying inside the house. That means you, Drax."
Drax chuckled, but immediately understood, though he doubted he was going to abide by that.
"Rule Number Two: No threatening to eat the babies. That means you, Zarek."
Zarek looked offended. "I have not threatened them since yesterday. Besides, the little female wet dog looks exactly like you, and I can’t eat you!"
Says the same person who wanted to swallow me whole the first day he saw me!
"Rule Number Three," Roxy turned to Kaelen. "No more carrying pups between your teeth. Use your hands. Or the baby carrier I bought you."
Kaelen blushed, looking down at his lap. "I forget there was such magic, sometimes."
"And Rule Number Four," Roxy slammed her hand on the table. "I need a break."
The men looked at her, alarmed.
"A break?" Zarek asked. "You wish to leave?"
"I wish to have my alone time," Roxy corrected. "Without the children and definitely without the noise." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
She pointed at the door.
"You two are on dad duty. Take Drax. Watch the triplets. I am going to sleep. If I see a single scale or patch of fur close to me, I will scream! Got it?"
Zarek and Kaelen looked at each other. They looked at the crib where the triplets were starting to wake up and cry. They looked at Drax, who was currently trying to chew on the table leg.
Terror flashed in their eyes.
"You leave us... alone? With them?" Kaelen whispered.
"You’re their father," Roxy smirked, "You can handle it."
Roxy approached the crib and leaned in. When she straightened again, she was holding Axel in one arm and Iris in the other, both of them finally calmed down in their mother’s embrace.
Baby Drax leapt into the crib to keep Onyx company, and after a few seconds, baby giggles could be heard.
Onyx was playing with Drax’s horns, and Drax was allowing it, and it was, in fact, fun hearing the baby’s laughter.
Iris was looking at her mother, her big violet eyes silently staring.
Roxy leaned in and rubbed her nose on the little one’s nose, and the baby smiled, warm and inviting, that Roxy was charmed; her heart visibly melted.
She felt very lucky.
"You are going to have a lot of fun taking care of them." Roxy beamed at the two predators, and their faces fell.
Zarek couldn’t take his eyes off Roxy and Iris.
Watching them made his heart feel full. But he would never admit that he loved the pup in her arms.
"We will make sure the Queen has her beauty rest." Zarek’s voice boomed in the cabin, and Kaelen turned to him sharply.
But seeing the Dragon King not even backing down. He followed through next.
And that was how Roxy earned herself some sleep time.
***
Silence in the Iron-Wood cabin was a luxury more expensive than any Tier 4 item in the System Shop.
For the first time in days, the air wasn’t filled with the sound of crying triplets, a toddler dragon roaring at the furniture, or two Alpha males arguing over who could chop wood the loudest.
Roxy was alone.
Well, technically, she was just off-duty.
Mara had practically begged to take the pups for the night. She claimed that having the triplets sleep near her would help her own unborn pup understand the pack bond before birth.
Roxy didn’t argue.
She had handed over the diaper bag, kissed four foreheads (including Drax, who thought it was a sleepover party), and practically crawled back into her bed.
Her body felt heavy. Even with the vial she took, the constant energy drain of breastfeeding three wolf pups and feeding processed food to a dragon toddler was no joke.
She felt like a juice box that had been squeezed flat.
I just want to fucking sleep and never wake up.
She buried her face in the pillow, sinking into the embrace of deep sleep. But she did not prepare herself for this night.
It started as a tickle.
A feather-light sensation brushes against the arch of her foot.
"Mmm..." Roxy mumbled into the fur, twitching her leg. "Stop it, Drax. Go to sleep."
But the touch didn’t stop. It glided up her ankle, circling the sensitive bone there, then drifted higher to her calf.
It wasn’t a child’s clumsy grasp. It was deliberate and skillful.
Roxy’s sleepy brain tried to categorize it.
Zarek? No. Zarek’s hands were hot, heavy, and rough. When Zarek touched her, it felt like being at the hot spring.
Kaelen? No. Kaelen was respectful. He touched her like she was made of glass. His hands were calloused but gentle, always seeking reassurance.
This touch was... different.
It was playful and electric.
Long, nimble fingers danced along the inside of her thigh. They teased. They traced patterns on her skin that sent shivers shooting straight to her core, bypassing her exhaustion and hitting the "On" switch in her brain.
"Not tonight..." Roxy moaned, trying to roll over. "I’m too exhausted. Read the signs."
A low, soft chuckle vibrated in the air. Or maybe it was in her head.
The hand moved. It found a spot Roxy didn’t even know was sensitive, the soft divot where her hip met her waist. The thumb pressed there, rubbing a slow, agonizing circle, while the fingers trailed lower, grazing the edge of her panties.
It was maddening. It was the kind of touch that promised it could ruin her.
Roxy liked that. That’s why her core ached.
Her breath hitched. A flush of heat spread through her chest, warring with her desire to just stay asleep.
"I said stop," she whispered, though her hips betrayed her, arching slightly into the touch.
The hand didn’t stop. It moved to her other side. Suddenly, she felt a sensation of wet heat near her ear. A tongue? Or just a damp breath?
It sent a jolt of electricity down her spine that made her toes curl.
Whoever it was, they knew exactly what they were doing. They were playing her body like a harp, plucking strings Zarek and Kaelen hadn’t even found yet.
The fingers slipped beneath the waistband of her sleep shorts.
That woke her up.
"Okay, seriously!" Roxy snapped, her eyes flying open. "I said I’m trying to sl—"
She sat up, ready to slap a husband. But the room was empty.
Roxy froze.
She blinked, looking left, looking right. The cabin was bathed in the pale, blue light of the moon filtering through the window slit.
The bed beside her was cold. The door was bolted shut from the inside.
There was no Zarek. There was no Kaelen.
"Hello?" Roxy whispered, her heart hammering against her ribs.
She scanned the room. But there was no one there.
But she could still feel the ghost of those fingers on her skin. She could still feel the tingle on her thigh, the heat on her hip. Her body was undeniably aroused, her nipples hard against her shirt, her breath coming in shallow gasps.
She was aching inside.
"System," she hissed, clutching the blanket to her chest. "Scan the room. Now."

"Then who touched me?"
