Chapter 348: Episode 346: You are Bleeding!

"Yay! Amazon Delivery!" Ren cheered.

Roxy slowly turned her head, leveling a flat, deeply unimpressed glare at him. The fact that the Fox King had seamlessly absorbed her modern slang and was using it to describe a literal divine supply drop was entirely too much for a Tuesday morning.

Roxy let out a long, heavy sigh, her shoulders dropping. Deep down, despite the existential dread of the System, she possessed a very specific, undeniable quirk: she absolutely loved unboxing things.

The thrill of peeling back tape, revealing cute items, and organizing new treasures was a comfort she hadn’t realized how much she missed.

"Right," Roxy announced, stepping forward and waving her hand to dismiss them. "The gods delivered packages. Stand down, everyone. Let’s go and unbox in the main living room."

The Alpha Kings exchanged deeply skeptical, highly bewildered looks, but the Matriarch had spoken.

The logistics of moving the divine payload were immediately sorted. Zarek, Torian, Kaelen, Syris, Caspian, and teenage Drax stepped forward, their massive muscles easily hoisting the incredibly weighty, oversized boxes onto their shoulders. Dena, the young wolf-shifter helper, quickly hurried over to take little Tyara, the tiger cub letting out a sleepy squeak as she was transferred.

Roxy adjusted Zale in her arms, the tiny abyssal prince’s green eyes wide with wonder at the cardboard tower. Tanith and Iris immediately flanked their mother. Tanith’s bright green eyes and Iris’s beautiful violet eyes shone with excitement as they each grabbed one of Roxy’s hands. Bringing up the rear, Axel and Onyx, their matching blue eyes sparkling with competitive twin energy, proudly hoisted the smallest of the boxes and marched toward the Manor.

The main living room quickly transformed into a chaotic sea of packing paper, bubble wrap, and frantic anticipation.

Everyone was practically vibrating with curiosity to see exactly what the ’gods’ had deemed necessary to drop onto the Iron-Wood. Roxy took the center of the room, her body humming with genuine, giddy excitement as she grabbed a silver letter opener to slice through the heavy tape of the first box.

The cardboard fell open, and Roxy gasped.

The first box was filled to the brim with the most exquisitely crafted, impossibly soft baby items. There were tiny, woven blankets, plush toys, and microscopic silk garments, all specifically tailored in vibrant shades of emerald green and deep, fiery red. The colors of the Fox. Sitting perfectly on top of the pile was an elegant, gold-embossed card. Roxy flipped it open.

For the new little kit. — TheMotheroftheWorld

"Oh, this is beautiful," Roxy cooed, lifting a tiny red blanket. Ren peeked over her shoulder, his green eyes softening with profound, devastating joy as he looked at the items meant for his unborn child.

The second box was equally massive. When Torian pried the lid off, a mountain of perfectly tailored clothes for the growing children spilled out. There were sturdy, reinforced tunics for the twins and Drax, elegant dresses for Iris and Tanith, and impossibly cute rompers for Zale and Tyara. Another note rested on top, bearing the same signature from TheMotheroftheWorld.

Roxy eagerly moved to the third box. As she opened it, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud. It was an entire, breathtaking wardrobe designed exclusively for her. There were flowing silks, comfortable maternity wear, and a few pieces that were undeniably, incredibly scandalous. The attached card was written in a sharp, looping script: Keep them on their toes, Queen. — thesassygoddess.

The fourth box drew the immediate attention of the pack. Syris and Zarek pulled the flaps back to reveal an immaculate collection of men’s clothing. There were heavy cloaks, tailored silk Tang tops, and leather trousers, compiled by a coalition of various male gods who apparently felt the warlords needed a wardrobe upgrade.

But it was the fifth and final box that brought the entire living room to a completely paralyzed standstill.

It was tremendously big, heavy enough that even Torian had grunted while carrying it. When Zarek ripped the top off, Roxy’s jaw practically hit the floorboards.

It was filled with high-end, modern gadgets.

Roxy recognized the items instantly. She had seen them listed deep within the System shop months ago, but she had never bothered to purchase them. She had always felt that introducing extreme modern technology was entirely too extravagant for a Beastworld that was just barely stepping into early civilization.

But the gods had completely overridden her restraint.

Carefully packed within foam was a massive, ultra-thin flat-screen TV. Beneath that, stacked in pristine boxes, were individual, highly durable tablets for each of the older children. There was a sleek, modern smartphone for every single male mate, and a beautiful, custom-designed phone specifically for her.

"What is this black glass?" Torian rumbled, poking a tablet with his thick, clawed finger.

"Careful!" Roxy panicked, slapping his hand away.

Deeper in the box, they found the core of the operation: a massive, highly advanced solar generator, completely capable of powering the Manor, accompanied by crates of durable light bulbs and wiring.

But it was the final layer of the box that completely captured the King of the North.

Kaelen knelt beside the cardboard, his icy blue eyes wide with absolute, unadulterated awe. Packed meticulously in the bottom were a series of high-end, modern kitchen appliances. A stainless steel blender, an air fryer, a slow cooker, and a set of professional-grade chef’s knives.

The Wolf Alpha reverently picked up the blender, staring at the buttons as if it were a holy relic.

Some instinct inside him told him that this was for him.

Roxy pulled the final notes from the gadget box. They were signed by financegod and worldbuilding god, and the message was simple: For being a good host.

The chaotic joy of the unboxing consumed the afternoon. Roxy meticulously organized the haul, explaining the basics of the technology to the utterly bewildered warlords and ensuring the kids didn’t immediately shatter their new tablets.

By the time the sun began to set, casting long, purple shadows across the Iron-Wood Manor, the sheer adrenaline of the divine delivery had completely worn off.

Everyone was entirely, profoundly drained.

On the massive, fur-covered rug in the living room, the youngest of the pack had completely surrendered to exhaustion. Tyara and Zale were fast asleep, completely piled on top of each other in a warm, fluffy heap of tiny limbs. A few feet away, Tanith had curled up into a tight, peaceful ball, her scales catching the dimming light as she slept deeply.

The only ones still awake were Drax and the triplets. Axel, Onyx, and Iris were sitting quietly in the corner, their respective blue and violet eyes glued entirely to the glowing screens of their new tablets, while Drax watched over them, his green eyes heavy with sleep.

He was going to set up his own tablet later on.

Seeing that the living room was finally peaceful, the Alpha Kings quietly retreated to begin integrating the solar tech and organizing their new wardrobes.

Roxy slowly stood up, her lower back aching fiercely. She left the sleeping children under Drax’s watchful eye and made the long, slow trek down the corridor to the master bedroom.

The moment the heavy oak doors clicked shut behind her, Roxy’s remaining energy completely vanished. She stumbled forward and collapsed face-first onto the massive, fur-covered bed, letting out a long, muffled groan of absolute exhaustion into the pillows.

The mattress shifted almost immediately.

Ren had followed her inside. The Fox King crawled onto the bed, straddling her hips. His large, warm hands immediately went to work, expertly kneading the tight, aching muscles in her lower back and shoulders.

He leaned forward, utilizing a cool, damp cloth to gently wipe the sheen of sweat from her brow.

"You shouldn’t be overexerting yourself like this, my Queen," Ren scolded softly, his gravelly voice thick with gentle, undeniable worry. His thumbs dug perfectly into a knot near her spine, making her sigh. "You are carrying a child. You need to rest, not to stress yourself."

Roxy turned her head to the side, resting her cheek against the cool silk of the pillow. "I had to sort it out, Ren. If I didn’t organize those gadgets immediately, Zarek or Torian would have tried to spar with the television, and you guys are going to break something."

Ren let out a soft, breathy chuckle, his hands continuing their soothing rhythm. "We are not that barbaric, baby."

Roxy smiled, feeling the tension finally beginning to melt out of her body under his expert touch. She slowly pushed herself up onto her elbows, intending to turn over and pull him down for a kiss to thank him.

She rolled onto her back, her brilliant green eyes finding his face in the dim lighting of the bedroom.

The tired, affectionate smile completely vanished from Roxy’s lips. Her heart completely stopped in her chest.

"Ren," Roxy gasped, her green eyes blowing wide with terror as she stared at the Fox King. "You are bleeding!"
