Chapter 301: Episode 299: Always Lock the Door!

"Fuck..." Roxy moaned as she felt Syris’s long fingers assault her g-spot.

When she knew she was just seconds from coming apart, Torian let out a low, feral growl that vibrated against her slick skin.

The White Tiger Alpha didn’t ask for permission; his hands gripped her hips with immovable, dominant force. With a single, fluid motion, he flipped her over onto her hands and knees in the center of the plush furs.

The cool night air brushed against her flushed, overheated skin for only a fraction of a second before the blistering heat of her mates surrounded her once again.

Roxy gasped, her fingers digging deep into the thick, luxurious pelts beneath her. Torian settled heavily behind her, his dark eyes blazing with a crazed, entirely feral lust.

He leaned down, his hot breath ghosting intimately over her slick entrance, fully preparing to devour her with his mouth and tongue, to drag her screaming over the edge of sanity.

At the exact same moment, Zarek shifted at the front of the bed. The towering Dragon Alpha knelt before her, he reached down, his large, calloused hand gripping his massive length. He guided himself upward, lining the thick tip perfectly against her parted, swollen lips, demanding her full, undivided attention.

Ren, Syris, and Kaelen all pleased themselves as they watched her as if waiting for their turn.

Roxy was completely trapped. Her heart hammered against her ribs. She tilted her head up, parting her lips for the Dragon, her hips instinctively pushing back into the Tiger’s waiting heat.

The sound of the heavy oak door swinging inward wasn’t particularly loud, but in the thick, sexually charged silence of the master bedroom, it echoed into their ears.

The sexual tension bled out as everyone froze.

Every single one of the five terrifying Kings completely froze.

Standing in the doorway, dwarfed by the massive wooden frame and bathed in the pale moonlight from the hallway, was Iris.

The little wolf pup was wearing her oversized sleep shirt, her black ears pinned straight up in curiosity. She was rubbing one eye with a tiny fist, while her other hand loosely clutched her favorite stuffed rabbit by its worn, floppy ear.

She blinked sleepily, her gaze sweeping over the chaotic, tangled pile of massive, naked papas pinning her mother to the mattress.

Iris tilted her head, her brow furrowing in genuine, innocent concern.

"Mama," Iris asked, her eyes narrowed at them. "Are daddies punishing you again?"

They all lost their minds to panic and embarassment.

"Fuck!" Ren hissed. The Fox King literally scrambled wildly behind the massive wooden wardrobe to hide his rampant arousal.

Zarek violently recoiled. The terrifying Dragon practically fell off the front of the mattress, his face burning with a blush. He desperately grabbed a stray snow-fox fur, yanking it frantically over his waist to cover his very obvious, raging dragon problem.

Syris smoothly slithered off the side of the bed, pulling a silk sheet tight around his lower half, while Torian just remained frozen on his knees, entirely paralyzed by the sheer, mortifying embarrassment of the moment.

Roxy gasped loudly, instantly dropping flat onto her stomach. She grabbed the nearest, thickest pelt and yanked it up over her head, her face burning so hot she felt like she was going to spontaneously combust.

Kaelen, being the most domesticated and inherently paternal of the group, was the first to recover a fraction of his dignity. The Wolf Alpha hastily pulled on his linen trousers, nearly tripping over his own feet in his rush, and jogged toward the doorway to intercept his daughter.

"Iris, sweetling," Kaelen stammers, his blue eyes wide, his usually smooth, rumbling voice cracking an entire octave. He knelt down quickly to block her view of the bed. "Everything is fine. Mummy is... Mummy is just playing a very loud, very complicated game. Let Daddy Kaelen take you back to your room."

He reached out to scoop the toddler up, fully intending to sprint down the hallway and pretend this catastrophic failure never happened.

But Iris didn’t budge.

The little pup planted her tiny bare feet firmly on the floorboards, her fluffy black tail puffing up defensively. She clutched her stuffed rabbit tighter against her chest and leveled a fierce, unimpressed glare at her father.

"No!" Iris declared, her lower lip jutting out in stubborn defiance. She tried to peek around Kaelen’s broad shoulders to look at the bed. "I am going to protect Mummy!"

Underneath the heavy fur pelt on the bed, Roxy’s heart skipped a beat. The frantic, lust-fueled haze that had clouded her brain just moments ago completely evaporated, instantly replaced by a massive, overwhelming surge of warmth.

The fact that this tiny, innocent girl was ready to fight five terrifying kings to protect her mother brought tears to Roxy’s eyes.

Yes! That was her baby girl.

She sat up, wrapping the thick fur securely around her body like a makeshift toga, completely ignoring the chaotic mess of the Kings around her.

Zarek, having finally secured his blanket, stepped forward, his expression tight with mortification. "I will take her back to the nursery," the Dragon grumbled, his heavy footsteps thudding against the wood as he reached a massive hand out toward the pup.

Roxy’s head snapped up. She shot Zarek a glare so lethal, so absolutely freezing and matriarchal, that it could have frozen the Wither-Rot in its tracks.

He instantly froze, his hand retracting as if he had been burned. He swallowed hard, taking a very smart, very immediate step backward.

"Don’t you dare touch her," Roxy warned, her voice laced with absolute, protective authority.

Roxy shuffled quickly to the edge of the bed and slid off, kneeling on the cool floorboards right in front of the little girl. She ignored the five immensely frustrated, heavily breathing men standing awkwardly around her bedroom. She gently reached out, cupping Iris’s chubby cheeks in her hands, her green eyes softening into pools of pure, boundless love.

"Why did you leave your princess room, my brave little wolf?" Roxy asked softly, her thumbs brushing away a stray tear that was forming in the corner of Iris’s eye.

Iris sniffled, the tough-guard facade crumbling entirely under her mother’s soft, warm touch. Her little chin wobbled, and large, fat tears immediately welled up in her bright violet eyes, spilling over her lashes.

"I had a bad dream," Iris whimpered, her tiny voice cracking with genuine distress. She dropped her rabbit and threw her little arms around Roxy’s neck, burying her face in her mother’s shoulder. "I dreamed that the scary sickness came... and Mama left again. And you didn’t come back."

Roxy’s heart skipped a beat, and it clenched with guilt.

Iris had been terrified that her mother was going to vanish into the dark once more.

All residual thoughts of sex, pleasure, and the complicated biology of the ocean completely flew out the window. There was absolutely nothing in the universe, no amount of lust or political strategy, that mattered more to her right now than comforting this frightened child.

"Oh, Iris," Roxy breathed, her voice thick with emotion. She scooped the little girl up into her arms, standing up and holding her impossibly tight against her chest. She buried her face in the pup’s dark hair, inhaling the sweet, powdery scent of her daughter. "Mama is right here. I am never, ever leaving you again. I promise you, my little flower. I am right here."

Roxy turned around, carrying the sniffling toddler directly to the massive bed. She didn’t even look at the five Alphas. She climbed right into the absolute center of the mattress, settling Iris securely under the thick, warm furs, tucking the blankets tightly around the little girl’s shoulders.

"We are sleeping together tonight," Roxy declared to the room at large, wrapping her arms protectively around the pup and pulling Iris flush against her side.

It didn’t take a single second for the emotional exhaustion to claim them both. The moment Iris felt the steady, comforting, undeniable heartbeat of her mother right beside her, her little golden eyes drifted shut. The fear melted from her tiny features.

Roxy, anchored completely by the warm, precious weight of her daughter, let out a long, soft sigh. The lingering adrenaline crashed, and she was knocked out cold almost instantly.

The master bedroom descended into a heavy, agonizing, and entirely sexless silence.

Five massively imposing, violently aroused, and completely denied Kings stood awkwardly around the edges of the bed in the dark. The sheer magnitude of their collective sexual frustration was so thick it practically warped the air in the room.

They stared at the peacefully sleeping mother and daughter, none of them daring to make a single sound that might wake them.

Finally, Torian slowly turned his head.

The White Tiger, still kneeling naked on the edge of the mattress, leveled a glare of absolute, murderous fury at the Wolf King standing near the doorway.

"Kaelen," Torian barked in a harsh, painfully strained whisper, his fangs bared in physical agony. "You should always lock the fucking door!"
