Chapter 107: Episode 107: There will be a Party!

"She is so cute..." Torian commented.

"That’s my pup," Kaelen said proudly.

"I knew she was smart." Zarek smiled.

Their eyes were filled with warmth as they pulled Roxy in and gave her a warm hug, placing a kiss on her forehead.

Roxy laughed in joy, a tear slipping down her cheek. "She’s my genius baby," She started sobbing, and the males were tongue-tied at what to do; they could only hold her.

The system was right; if I didn’t come to the beastworld, I wouldn’t be able to birth these beautiful souls.

Her heart was aching, but it was full. Why was she looking forward to earth? That only brought her bad memories, from her childhood down to her adulthood.

She didn’t want to go back.

She wanted to stay here with her lovely children and her mates and spoil them however she wanted.

At least they were not hitting me, manipulating me, or abusing me; they genuinely cared about me, and the children I bear.

"Mama!" Iris squealed happily, noticing her mother’s heavy heart, burying her face in Roxy’s neck.

"Yes... Iris!" She cooed. "I am your mother! Say it again!"

"Ma... ma!" Iris squealed, clapping her chubby hands against Roxy’s cheeks. Her violet eyes, holding the intelligence of her human mother, sparkled with the triumph of finally being understood.

She wanted to speak more, but couldn’t.

Before Roxy could even process this milestone, a commotion erupted from the hallway.

"Ma!"

"MAMA!"

Two more balls of energy tumbled into the kitchen. Axel and Onyx, apparently refusing to be outdone by their sister, crawled over the threshold with speed. They were pulling themselves along the wooden floor, slipping on the smooth planks, driven by a competitive triplet instinct.

Axel, the one who took most after Kaelen with his boundless energy and slight growl when hungry, let out a sharp, bark-like "Mama!" as he reached Roxy’s leg.

He tried to stand up, gripping her pants with surprisingly strong fingers.

Onyx, the quiet, brooding one who usually just observed with solemn eyes, didn’t shout. He simply sat back on his diaper bottom, looked up at Roxy, and stated firmly, "Mama!"

He was behaving more and more like his sister.

Roxy laughed, a sound of pure joy that filled the small cabin.

"Oh my god," she gasped, trying to bend down while holding Iris. "You all decided to start talking today? Is it a conspiracy?"

"They are wolves," Kaelen noted with a proud grin. He scooped up Axel, tossing the giggling boy into the air. "They sync together. If one speaks, the pack speaks."

"It is loud," Zarek commented, though he was already lifting Onyx off the floor.

The Dragon King held the pup gently, despite Onyx not being his blood. "But they know who feeds them, so that I can be understanding."

Roxy chuckled at Zarek’s words, knowing he had fallen headfirst for the triplets.

The Kitchen was instantly filled with warmth. Zarek continued with the Venison with Onyx in his arms, while Roxy played with Iris, and Kaelen, playing with little Axel actively.

It was a happy circle.

Leaning against the kitchen doorframe was Torian, his arms crossed. He watched Kaelen nuzzle his son and watched Roxy beaming at Iris.

He felt cold suddenly.

It was a hollow ache in his chest. He was the King of the Tigers. He had wealth, power, and an army, but in this kitchen, surrounded by babies and other males, he was an outsider.

He had no child here, nor did he have any back in the Golden Citadel.

He had no voice calling him "Papa".

I need this, Torian realized, his grip on his own elbows tightening. I need to be part of this circle.

Just then, Drax walked into the kitchen. Roxy’s firstborn.

He was the size of a four-year-old now, his messy dark hair sticking up in every direction. He was wearing his pajamas and dragging a stuffed wolf toy by its leg, clutching it with one hand while rubbing his sleepy eyes with the other.

"Mama?" Drax yawned, his voice raspy with sleep. "Noise?"

Iris, spotting her big brother, nearly launched herself out of Roxy’s arms in excitement. She pointed a chubby finger at him.

"Dax!" she shrieked.

Drax froze, his eyes widened into stars, and his stuffed wolf dropped from his hand.

He looked at Iris, then at Roxy.

"Dax?" Drax whispered, pointing at his own chest. "Me? I am Dax?"

"Dax!" Iris confirmed, kicking her legs excitedly!

A smile broke across Drax’s face, a smile so wide it threatened to split his face in two. He started jumping up and down, vibrating with excitement.

"Mama!" Drax yelled, running to hug Roxy’s leg. "Little dog talk! The little dog said my name! I am Dax!"

"Yes, baby, she did," Roxy laughed, shifting Iris to her hip so she could stroke Drax’s silky hair. "She loves her big brother."

"I have to tell the snake!" Drax announced, spinning around. "He needs to know!"

"No, no, Syris is sleeping for a long time," Roxy caught him by the back of his pajamas before he could run to the sun room. "Let him sleep. You can tell Torian."

Drax looked at Torian.

"Cat man!" Drax shouted. "Did you hear? I am Dax!" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Torian sighed, a faint smile touching his lips despite his melancholy. He was happy that he was finally involved in the family. He knelt to be at eye-level with the boy.

"I heard, little dragon. It is a very efficient nickname."

Roxy watched them, her messy, loud, mismatched family.

Her heart felt so full she thought it might explode.

[Ding!]

[Developmental Milestone Reached]

[Event: First Words Spoken.]

[Suggestion: The triplets are growing rapidly due to their wolf/human genetics. Their biological age is outpacing their chronological age. It is time to formalize their existence in the system records.]

[Query: Do you wish to set the Official Birthdays for the Children?]

Roxy blinked.

Birthdays? Right, I never actually registered the dates, did I? With everything on...

She looked at her children and knew they deserved a day that was just theirs to celebrate every year.

System, do it. Register the dates based on the Lunar cycle, and show me my full profile. I haven’t checked since, well, since the first night with Zarek.

Roxy scanned the list.

Seeing the actual dates made it feel real, and seeing the difference between their Chronological Age and their Apparent age was a reminder that her life was anything but normal right now.

She looked at the men as Zarek placed plates of beef on the table.

A light bulb flashed above her head, and an idea came to her.

"Okay, listen up!" Roxy announced, and everyone turned to look at her, even Drax. They waited for her to speak.

"I just realized something," Roxy said, bouncing Iris gently. "We have never properly celebrated their birthdays, everything about the children."

Kaelen tilted his head. "We don’t celebrate that here."

"Then we would have to start immediately." She announced as she looked at the charcoal calendar she scribbled on the wall.

"We are going to have a party!" Roxy declared, a mischievous glint entering her eyes. "A Birthday Party. A Naming Ceremony. A ’We Survived Winter’ bash. Whatever you want to call it."

"A party?" Zarek frowned. "With whom?"

"I want everyone here." She grinned. "The Wolves. I want you to send a message to the Dragon Peaks, Zarek. Invite Lyra and Vorian, Malcor, and any other dragons."

Zarek’s chest puffed out slightly. "They would be jumping in joy."

"And you," Roxy turned to Torian. "Invite your people, and tell them your Queen was hosting a gala."

Torian’s eyes lit up. Finally, something he understood. "A gala? With guests? Can I wear my formal robes?"

"You can wear whatever you want, Sparkles," Roxy said, rolling her eyes. "But we are doing this right. We need to show the Beast World that this..." she gestured to the loving kitchen, "...this mixed-up, crazy family is strong. And we are happy."

She looked down at Iris, who was chewing on her collar.

"We are going to need a big cake," Roxy muttered to herself. "And about forty gallons of wine, only the tigers are good at making."

"I will handle the invitations," Torian declared, mentally drafting the guest list. "It will be the social event of the season, and I must decorate the entire place."

Roxy narrowed her eyes at him.

Sometimes she thinks this man was British originally, instead of the Beastworld.

With everything set in place.

Roxy was excited for the party, but she forgot one thing.
