Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 689: The Tenth Elder
"But how? The Fallen God never had any heirs or descendants," the Sixth Elder said in disbelief. It was still hard for him to accept this.
"I don’t know either, but for some reason he carries the bloodline of the Fallen," the First Elder replied. He had been just as shocked as them a few hours ago.
To actually meet the bearer of the Fallen God’s bloodline... he didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry. For many dragons, if not all of them, the Fallen God was extremely important.
And now his bloodline was standing right here. He highly doubted that these old dragons would refuse to help him.
The Ancient Trial holds great value for the dragons. It is a place created directly by the Dragon Goddess herself for the younger and promising generations.
Anyone who enters receives the Goddess’ blessing, and those who manage to pass the trial become far more powerful individuals who gain the support of all dragons.
More importantly, according to tradition, the one who succeeds earns the right to inherit the position of the dragons’ leader.
That was why all the Elders were against it at first, but when they heard that this boy was the heir of the Fallen, they changed their minds.
Just like when the First Elder realized that Daniel carried the bloodline, the destructive and hostile auras completely disappeared without a trace.
"If you truly are the heir of the Fallen, then it’s not impossible for you to enter the Ancient Trial," the Eighth Elder said calmly. It was clear that all of them had changed their view of this human.
"That’s right. Since you’re connected to the Fallen, we have no problem supporting you," the Seventh Elder confirmed.
The other dragons present also nodded. They no longer had an issue supporting this human. After all, he was most likely the only heir of the Fallen!
"Thank you very much. I’ll provide as much of my blood as you want," Daniel said with a smile, expressing his gratitude.
He hadn’t expected everything to be resolved this easily. Even the Dragon Empress probably hadn’t thought he would gain the approval of all these old dragons in a single day.
Of course, from her perspective, that would have been impossible. Even she had never managed to make all ten of them agree on a single matter. There was always at least one or more who opposed her.
Now that he had managed to gain the support of all these Elders so easily, maybe obtaining the fragment wouldn’t be that difficult either.
Plus he had no plan to ask about it for now, at least not in front of all of them. It would be better to ask about it in private, either from the Dragon Empress or the First Elder.
Because it seemed that they placed great importance on the Fallen, and he wasn’t sure whether they would be willing to hand over something that belonged to the Fallen to him or not.
However, he could also use the excuse that, according to the Fallen God’s order, he had to obtain that fragment.
Overall, everything seemed to be going according to his plan, and he should be able to both enter the Ancient Trial and obtain the fragment.
Evangelin’s face remained indifferent, but a trace of surprise could be seen deep in her eyes. Now she understood how this boy had managed to persuade the First Elder.
’Fallen blood, huh?’ she murmured to herself. She didn’t know exactly why this blood was so valuable to the dragons.
But judging from their expressions, it clearly held great importance for all of them.
"But I need the approval of all ten Elders, and one of them isn’t here," Daniel added.
"That’s right. The Tenth Elder still hasn’t arrived. Where is that old man?" the Sixth Elder looked around and said in surprise.
Among all of them, that old man cared the most about order and punctuality. The fact that he still hadn’t come was very strange. Could something have happened?
"I’ll contact him," the First Elder said. The area fell into silence as he closed his eyes.
"He’s on his way and will arrive soon," he said after a few seconds, opening his eyes again.
"Until he arrives, how about you answer a few of our questions, kid?" the Third Elder said, looking at the human.
"If I can, then sure," Daniel nodded and didn’t refuse.
"Is the Fallen God still alive?" the same Elder asked.
The other dragons also fixed their gazes on Daniel. It seemed that the answer to this question was very important to them as well.
"I’m sure you know that a god cannot truly die," he replied.
"That’s not what I mean. I want to know whether he is in this world. Does he have any plan to return?"
"He is in this world, but I don’t know what plans he has," Daniel answered. The Fallen God truly was in this world, more precisely, living inside his body.
As for that man’s plans, he had no information. After all, he still hadn’t been able to speak with that god directly.
The dragons let out sighs of relief. Fortunately, from this human’s answer, it seemed that the Fallen God was in good condition and there was even a possibility of his return.
Only with the Fallen God would their goddess, the Dragon Goddess, not stand alone against those Innate Gods.
One of the other Elders was about to ask another question when suddenly a massive shadow fell over the mountain, and a gigantic dragon slowly descended in front of them.
"You’re very late, old man," the Sixth Elder said mockingly when he saw the last of them arrive.
"I was dealing with my son. It seems he got into a fight with someone and was severely injured," the Tenth Elder said in a tired tone, though anger could be felt beneath it.
"Oh? Someone managed to beat your son? Whoever it was did a great job," the Third Elder laughed mockingly.
He was Rhaenyra’s father, but from his tone it was clear that he was not only not upset about his future son-in-law getting beaten, he was even pleased.
"Shut up. He’s your future son-in-law too, and you’re happy he got beaten?" the Tenth Elder growled.
"Anyway, why are these two humans here?" His gaze then fell on Daniel and Evangelin, turning even colder.
’Hmm? Golden eyes, white hair, and no horns...?’ His gaze lingered longer on Daniel, as if he was thinking about something.
"This may sound strange, but we’ve decided to allow this human to enter the Ancient Trial. Only your approval remains," the Sixth Elder explained.
They knew that explaining this matter again to another dragon would be a bit troublesome.
However, it wasn’t a problem. As long as they explained that this boy carried the bloodline of the Fallen, the Tenth Elder would definitely back down and cooperate as well.
Unfortunately, their thoughts were wrong.
"Have you all gone mad?" the Tenth Elder said in disbelief and anger. Had these fools lost their minds in his absence?
"I know it sounds ridiculous, but listen, he—"
However, before he could finish his sentence, the Tenth Elder suddenly charged at Daniel.
"You’re the only one who matches the description of the one who attacked my son. So it was you, you filthy human, who attacked my child!" the Tenth Elder roared with killing intent and opened his mouth.
A massive volume of purple flames burst out from his mouth and shot straight toward Daniel.
