Chapter 687: Rizzing Failed

"Annoying," Evangelin said indifferently and completely ignored the dragon, as if he didn’t exist at all.

That made Daniel let out a sigh of relief. He knew this woman truly didn’t like dragons, and the fact that she ignored him after being insulted saved them from disaster.

He didn’t care about that dragon, and unlike him, he had his own plan to teach him a lesson, but not to the point of causing real harm and ruining all his future plans.

"You’re flirting with another woman right in front of your fiancée? Hmph! You’re really trash!" Dravion stood up and said mockingly.

His gaze fell on Rhaenyra, whose eyes looked teary and disappointed. Even though she didn’t like her fiancé, seeing him openly flirt with another woman deeply disappointed her.

"What does it have to do with you? I’ll do whatever I want!" Vermyros snorted coldly. He was clearly angry, not because of that bastard’s words, but because that woman had just called him annoying.

Who did this woman think she was? Even if she was the most beautiful woman in the world, she had no right to insult him!

Didn’t she know who he was? He was the son of the Tenth Elder! His father was one of the most powerful and ancient dragons in all of Dragon Valley.

If he wanted something, he would definitely get it.

"First, I’ll kill you." His gaze locked onto Dravion again. No matter how much he wanted that woman, he had to finish this bastard first.

He attacked once more, but this time with killing intent, intending to end the battle.

Everyone present sighed. They were certain this poor boy would definitely die. Some even turned their heads away so they wouldn’t have to see the scene.

"No! Please don’t do this!" Rhaenyra shouted and begged loudly, but it was useless.

She ran toward them, wanting to use her own body as a shield, but unfortunately she couldn’t reach them in time.

Crack!

Suddenly, the sound of bones breaking echoed in the air, and a body was thrown dozens of meters backward. Everyone looked carefully and realized that Dravion was still standing there unharmed?

Then whose body had just been thrown?

"Then where is Young Master Vermyros?" That’s right! They couldn’t see any trace of their Young Master.

They turned around, and after looking around, they realized that Vermyros had actually been slammed hard into a wall, and it looked like many of his bones were broken.

What exactly happened? No one was able to see it with their own eyes. It had been so fast that everything happened in less than a moment.

Before they could even understand what was going on, Vermyros was already embedded in the wall.

Rhaenyra and Dravion were both in shock. For a moment, they couldn’t understand what had just happened.

However, Rhaenyra quickly ran back to her childhood friend and hugged him tightly.

"Thank the Goddess you’re safe! I was really scared!" she whispered softly as tears streamed down her face.

Dravion came out of his daze and hugged her back, though from the corner of his eyes he glanced at the young man behind him.

He hadn’t clearly seen what happened, he had only caught what looked like a shadow. But if he wasn’t mistaken, the one who had just intervened and saved him was that white-haired young man.

But why? Why would he save him? And how was he even that powerful?

"You—You bastard, you’ll pay for this!" Vermyros let out a loud and furious roar. It wasn’t clear who he was referring to. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

However, his bloodshot eyes were fixed on Daniel, even though he couldn’t move a single muscle and felt his consciousness fading more and more by the second.

His followers quickly rushed to his side, lifted him up, and carried him away. They also didn’t understand what had happened, but that didn’t matter right now. The only important thing was to take their Young Master to a healer as soon as possible.

After Vermyros left, the atmosphere calmed down, and the crowd that had gathered to watch began to disperse. Only Rhaenyra and Dravion remained.

They had already stepped out of each other’s embrace, and one of them was now looking at Daniel.

"Thank you very much for your help, Senior." He bowed slightly and thanked him sincerely.

He was sure this young man must actually be one of the older dragons—one of those reclusive and extremely powerful dragons who spent their lives wandering around.

And now, by pure luck, he had encountered him and decided to save him. Otherwise, it made no sense for a dragon to dare rescue him from the Tenth Elder’s son.

Moreover, with just one punch, he had completely knocked out Vermyros. That kind of strength was not something a young dragon could possess.

"There’s no need to thank me. That idiot was annoying, and I don’t like noise," Daniel said with a smile, his gaze falling on them, especially on Rhaenyra.

His intervention hadn’t been without reason. He definitely wasn’t stupid enough to make enemies for no reason. The reason he stepped in was this dragon woman.

Not that he had fallen in love with her, but the moment he saw her, he felt a strange sense of closeness—the same feeling he always felt whenever he encountered a fragment of the Fallen’s heart.

He wasn’t certain, but there was a high chance this girl knew where the fragment was, or at least had some kind of connection to it.

"Thank you for saving my friend!" Rhaenyra also understood the situation and expressed her gratitude. If it weren’t for this man, her childhood friend would have been killed.

"As I said, there’s no need to thank me. But still, being engaged while loving another man isn’t very admirable."

"Oh." Rhaenyra’s face immediately turned red, and she seemed unsure how to respond.

"We loved each other from the beginning, but that bastard couldn’t accept it and asked his father to force an engagement between them. Even now, despite being engaged, that trash still does whatever he wants and keeps relations with many women," Dravion replied. He hid nothing. He wanted to form a friendly relationship with this Senior no matter what.

"We told him to cancel the engagement. He said only if I can defeat him." He clenched his fists in anger as he added that.

"I see." Daniel nodded. In fact, he had already guessed something like this.

"Anyway, it was an honor to meet you, Senior. I owe you my life. If you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask," Dravion added with a smile.

"Me too! If you ever need anything, you can count on me as well!" Rhaenyra nodded and said.

"Of course. I suppose I’ll trouble you soon. For now, it’s better if you go take care of your injuries," Daniel said with a smile.

The two of them said goodbye and left.

"I didn’t think you’d play the hero. Or was it because that dragon showed interest in me and you got jealous?" Evangelin said playfully after they left, in a rare teasing tone.

Daniel was silent for a moment, then burst into laughter and explained the real reason he saved them.

"I see." However, before they could continue talking, the talisman Daniel had suddenly began to tremble.
