Chapter 664: The High School Reunion I

Daniel met his mother after returning home. The woman had finally come back, and when she saw her son, she was extremely surprised and happy.

Without delay, they hugged each other, and Liana was not willing to leave his arms for a long time. None of her children had been with her this week, and it had been a very hard time for her.

Even though she had made new friends and spent time with them, her children were still a part of her existence. They were the only reason she could continue living at all, the only reason her life had meaning.

"Hey, hey, I’m not going to run anywhere," Daniel laughed and finally managed to get out of his mother’s embrace.

They both sat down and talked about different topics. Liana even wanted to get up and cook dinner for her son, but Daniel stopped her.

With his rank, hunger no longer had any meaning for him, and he only ate for the enjoyment of food. But it was clear that his mother was tired, and he didn’t want to make her more exhausted.

Daniel talked a little about his adventures in the Celestial Domain, but he left out the sensitive parts, then asked about his sisters.

They talked for several hours until Liana finally passed out from exhaustion. He carried her to her room and laid her on her bed, then returned to his own room and lay down.

However, he didn’t sleep immediately. He waved his hand, and several of his Fallen appeared in front of him.

"Go to the eastern borders of the country and investigate that terrorist group for me. The more information, the better," he ordered.

The Fallen bowed respectfully and then disappeared.

Even though he didn’t see that terrorist group as a threat, he was sure there were people behind the scenes supporting them. He preferred to gather more information before any confrontation.

Then he closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep. Tomorrow was the meeting with a group of his old friends, and he didn’t want to miss such an important event.

Time passed slowly, and the moon gradually disappeared from the sky. Sunlight began to shine.

Daniel slowly opened his eyes and looked at the clock. Without realizing it, he had slept much longer than he thought.

He got up and, after putting on proper clothes, went downstairs. His mother was reading a book, and breakfast was ready on the table.

"Thank you so much, Mom." He smiled when he saw it and thanked her.

"I didn’t expect you to sleep this much," Liana said with a teasing tone. Her son was someone who always woke up early.

"I guess it was because of exhaustion." Daniel smiled, sat down, and started eating breakfast. He tasted the delicious flavor of everything, then stood up and left the house after saying goodbye to his mother.

He got into the car and called Joe.

"Finally reachable?" A sarcastic voice came from the other side.

"Where are you?" Daniel ignored it.

"I’ll send you the location. Everyone’s here, only you were left." Then he hung up.

Daniel looked at his messages and saw the sent location. He clicked on it, and after the destination was set, he started driving.

The destination was about twenty minutes from their house. The gathering was being held in one of the most expensive neighborhoods of the capital.

Considering that Joe was the host, it was logical.

Fortunately, there was no heavy traffic, and he reached the destination as quickly as possible. After calling Joe and saying he had arrived, he found a place to park.

He got out of the car and walked toward the luxurious mansion in front of him. At the entrance, Joe was standing in a suit.

His big belly, as always, attracted attention.

"You finally came! I was worried you wouldn’t!" Joe laughed when he saw him and stepped forward. They shook hands.

"It was actually pure luck. There was a high chance I would miss the gathering." Daniel laughed. If he had left the Celestial Domain even one day later, he would definitely have missed this event.

"So anyway, who’s here?" he changed the topic.

"Linor, Erik, Julian, Lucas, and from the girls Rivena, Thyra, and of course Sara."

"So the main circle came, huh?" Daniel muttered. Their class had more members than this.

But the main circle they were close with and used to hang out and talk with were the ones Joe just mentioned. Of course, James also existed, but he was a bastard most of them hated.

"Julian and Lucas are here too. Better not cause trouble. If you do, you have to let me do whatever I want too," Joe warned.

"Don’t worry. I’m a civilized and peaceful human. I won’t do anything." Daniel laughed, patted his shoulder, and signaled him to lead the way.

The two Joe mentioned were close friends of James, and there had been conflicts between them and Joe and Daniel. But that was in the past, and Daniel didn’t care much about it now.

Unless they were stupid enough to do something stupid. Then he would just take advantage of the situation.

Joe was sure something would happen. His instincts were already warning him. He laughed inwardly.

Those bastards had been getting on his nerves since they arrived. Unfortunately, since those two were Awakened, he couldn’t do anything directly to them. Even with Linor beside him, it didn’t help much.

But now Daniel was here. Those two would definitely get crushed.

’Those pieces of trash were mocking Daniel just a few minutes ago. I want to see their reaction when they see him now and realize what kind of monster he has become.’

He glanced at Daniel, and they entered the main hall of the gathering, where seven people in formal and expensive clothes were waiting.

When they entered, all eyes first went to Joe and then to the handsome white-haired man behind him.

"Long time no see," Daniel said with a smile on his face.
