Chapter 548: Success?

Time passed quietly for Nan Hua and Tang Si Qin. The two of them were completely focused on what was in front of them, trying their best to make sure that they would not make any mistake.

They couldn’t afford to make any mistake.

With Feng Yu Hua watching over the place, they would be warned when someone come. But at the same time, it meant that the operation would be a failure because they were interrupted in the middle.

So the two of them were working hard.

After nearly 15 minutes, Tang Si Qin finally pulled the chip out slowly but surely. He took a deep breath when he saw the chip in his hand.

This was the thing that controlled almost every single member in the organization.

It was very frustrating to think that their entire life was controlled by this single and simple chip. Yet, it was also because of this chip that they kept on making concession by concession, following the demands from the organization and lived a life like slaves.

Well, it was not wrong to say that they were slaves. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

At least, in the eyes of the organization, they were indeed one.

"It’s successful..." Tang Si Qin’s voice trembled a bit before he forced himself to calm down. He still has the chip in his head and thus, he was not allowed to be emotional and caused his body to produce such emotion.

He was not like Nan Hua who could control her emotions perfectly.

His training didn’t really demand him to have perfect control over his every reaction. Even if he was the best, it also involved the matter of him being a doctor and thus, most of what he had to do was related to his profession.

Among his peers, he was naturally one of the best. The organization had pushed him to be able to do much better than what they should have learned back then.

But for assassination, the request was very limited.

Even if Tang Si Qin did learn how to act and blend with the crowd, it was not as detailed and rigorous as Nan Hua.

Thus, he took a few moments to calm down forcefully.

Nan Hua was working on the young man’s head, patching up the hole they made to take out the chip. This would take some time to heal, which was not very good for them.

She silently took out a bottle from the side and then poured it on top of the wound.

"That’s...." Tang Si Qin was stunned.

"High concentration recovery liquid," Nan Hua replied. "Leaving the wound as it is will only make others know that he recently had an operation. This will let the flesh grow back very quickly and covered up all traces."

Tang Si Qin nodded.

This would make the skin more sensitive and all, but it was much better than letting the marks of the operation left. They were still in the middle of their respective mission with the people around them were going to kill them if they ever showed any sign of being a spy.

The wound on the back of their head would be rather suspicious.

"I see."

"Interrogate him when he woke up to make sure that it really succeed and then go to rest," Nan Hua said and then her eyes glinted. "If he’s still normal, you know what to do before dawn."

Before dawn.

Tang Si Qin thought about their operation and nodded. "Got it, I’ll wake him up and then let him tell the truth."

Interrogation was easy.

Anyway, he had some medicines that can be used against the man should he try to fight back. Tang Si Qin was already used to this kind of method to do things.

"I’ll go back first."

"Yes."

Tang Si Qin looked at Nan Hua’s back and felt rather confused. He felt that even when they succeeded just now, Nan Hua was exceptionally calm, not like someone who had succeeded after a lot of trial and errors and neither like someone who was under a lot of pressure.

It was strange.

But when Tang Si Qin thought about Nan Hua’s past and the fact that she was part of the section 13 of Mega Organization, he had the faint feeling that he somehow understood some of it.

That she was not someone who had a lot of emotions.

People from section 13 were all taught to restrain their emotions and whatever they were feeling. Because they knew very well that if they ever showed the slightest bit of their real emotions, they would be taken advantage of.

Their lives were already difficult enough, why should they add more things that could make themselves suffer?

Thus, no matter what they were actually feeling in their heart, they would never let it show. Be it in their expression or in their own body’s reaction. Because any sign would be the same as telling the entire world.

Tang Si Qin retracted his gaze and then looked at the young man on the bed.

It seemed that he would have to finish this quickly so that he would be able to get some rest. It wouldn’t be an easy work for him to do more of this operation.

...

Outside the tent, Feng Yu Hua raised her head when she saw Nan Hua walked out. She couldn’t tell anything from Nan Hua’s expression and demeanor. Even if she felt that she had known Nan Hua better after interacting more during this period of time, she still couldn’t tell what Nan Hua was actually feeling or thinking.

"How is it?" Feng Yu Hua asked.

"It’s a success," Nan Hua replied.

Feng Yu Hua’s eyes widened slightly. She raised her hand to her chest and forcefully press it down to prevent herself from making any abnormal and unusual reaction. "Real?"

Nan Hua only looked at Feng Yu Hua with the look, ’Am I someone who tell lies?’

Feng Yu Hua’s lips twitched.

When Nan Hua lied, no one could tell the difference between the truth or lies from what she said.
