Chapter 531: Real Interrogation (3)

This was something that existed in the fake Nan Hua’s memory and Nan Hua inherited.

The day when the fake Nan Hua’s parents called her and tried to ask for a lot of money and to give them easy jobs that would allow them to earn a lot of money.

"Father, Mother, why do you always ask for money? I told you that I can’t do it!" The fake Nan Hua was already on the verge of breaking down. And having her parents asking for more money and benefits only made her even more frustrated.

She was trying her best to adapt and to reach the requirement that the organization asked her to do, but they were only here to press the matter on her.

"What are you talking about? Do you forget how you can get this position? Why can’t you even ask for a small matter for your parents?" The fake Nan Hua’s mother was asking in sharp tone.

"I told you, my family is a military family and not a business family..."

"I don’t care, you should..."

Bang!

In the end, the fake Nan Hua flung the light brain to the wall and then cried silently on the bed. She looked at the dense paper filled with countless things she had to memorize and learned, feeling despair from the bottom of her heart.

Kreet.

The door opened and the woman who was sent to watch over her looked at her situation and said coldly, "There’ll be test tomorrow. You have to ensure getting a better grade and not just at this rate."

"I... I know." The fake Nan Hua shivered.

"If you keep showing this disappointing result, we’ll have to replace you."

Replace her?

The fake Nan Hua was stunned and then lowered her head. Her fingers gripped to form a fist as she felt intense and deep humiliation and grievances. She thought that being able to become the fake daughter of a powerful Nan Family would mean that she could enjoy a life of richness and all.

She was full of dream and ambition.

But reality gave her a hard face slap. Instead of living a luxurious life, she had to learn so many things and be forced to learn things that she couldn’t understand. The pressure was getting into her head and body, making her feeling breathless and frustrated.

The fake Nan Hua was not a talented child.

She had to work hard in order to achieve what other people could do in just a few minutes or hours.

Everything was very difficult.

Nan Hua had never truly experienced the despair of not being able to learn so quickly. Because her talent allowed her to understand many things very quickly and learn to applicate it at various matters.

Even if it was not so easy with the high standard in the organization, but with the threat of death accompanying her all the time, she could only force herself to move forward.

Again and again.

It was the same type of pressure and despair, just in different location and at different age.

The fake Nan Hua couldn’t withstand the pressure.

And the main cause of it was her own decision to agree to become the fake daughter of the Nan Family. If she hadn’t agreed in the first place, none of this would have ever happened in the first place.

She would still be the ordinary village girl in a remote planet, living an ordinary yet fulfilling life.

But it was only an if.

"They’re asking for position in the company that belonged to the Nan Family but I can’t give it to them," Nan Hua said. "The phone call record should still exist in my broken light brain."

Broken light brain.

It seemed that in order to stop the call, the fake Nan Hua spared no effort to break her own light brain. Being thrown once was not enough because it was a very hard one. The fake Nan Hua buried it in the water after the woman left because she didn’t want to face it anymore.

And then the make up test came and the fake Nan Hua was hospitalized, which also signified her ending.

Because at that point, her existence had no more use for the organization.

It was as simple as that.

The organization never kept useless people and those who couldn’t show their worth would only be abandoned. The so called loyalty was useless, but many people were already brainwashed ever since they were young to follow the organization.

Those who were truly loyal to the organization had high position by now after several decades of following the organization with full loyalty.

While those who only followed the organization because of being forced could only stay at the bottom and do whatever they were supposed to do. Some of them tried to climb and then tried to climb out, only to be faced with despair.

Because such chance simply didn’t exist.

"Okay, we’ll see it. Thank you for your time, Miss Nan Hua," Yan Jin Nian said.

She had been watching Nan Hua carefully, using her undivided attention to make sure that she watched Nan Hua’s every reaction. Every twitch, every faint muscle movements were being carefully watched.

Yet, Yan Jin Nian couldn’t find any fault.

It was as if what Nan Hua said was simply the truth and there was no chance for her to say anything wrong.

But her instinct was telling her that there was something odd.

Something she didn’t notice.

She could only sigh and felt that even if there was something that she couldn’t explain, there was no evidence whatsoever. She looked at the man who watched the screen from the lie detector and he also shook his head.

It meant that everything was natural and normal.

Nan Hua slowly stood up and then nodded at Yan Jin Nian before walking out of the interrogation room. Her head was lowered, hiding her expression and the glint that flashed within her eyes.
