Tristan had obtained Bloodline Factors before—two of them, in fact.

But he never used them.

The reason? Neither was particularly impressive.

One problem was that the attribute bonuses weren’t great. The other was the drastic physical transformation they caused.

Tristan had no interest in turning into a Goblin. Nor did he want to become a Tide Giant.

But if it was a Dragon Bloodline Factor… now that was something worth considering.

When players absorbed Dragon Bloodline Factors, they didn’t just gain increased growth rates—they also received massive fixed attribute boosts.

There were some physical changes, but nothing drastic.

And more importantly, the transformation was in a positive direction.

A stronger, taller physique. Sharper, more defined features. More attractive overall.

Even if someone absorbed multiple Dragon Bloodline Factors, there was no need to worry.

Dragons had both a dragon form and a humanoid form—a characteristic passed on to their hybrid descendants.

"Let’s hope I get one this time."

Tristan thought to himself.

Bloodline Factors were a fickle thing—impossible to find when you needed them, but appearing everywhere when you didn’t.

And they didn’t just come from high-tier races.

Even low-tier creatures could drop them.

Back in his past life, a certain eccentric player had taken an unusual approach—absorbing hundreds of low-tier Goblin Bloodline Factors to fully transform into a pure Goblin.

Unfortunately for him, his first hunting expedition ended with his entire Goblin squad getting slaughtered by a group of female knights.

Looking back, it was an amusing story.

Now, with the Fire Dragon’s hoard completely looted, Tristan stepped outside.

The Shadow Dragon had finished disassembling the Fire Dragon’s body.

Now, it was just… staring at the mountain of meat in front of it, drool dripping down its maw, sizzling into white steam as it hit the scorching ground.

Hearing Tristan’s footsteps, the Shadow Dragon quickly turned around, raising its right forelimb in a solemn oath.

"My Lord Shadow, I swear—I didn’t steal a bite this time!"

Tristan nearly laughed out loud at the sight.

He waved a hand dismissively.

"Go ahead, take a couple of pieces for yourself."

"Thank you, My Lord Shadow!"

The Shadow Dragon answered with a serious tone, carefully picking out two tiny chunks of meat.

Tristan frowned.

"Are you feeding a bird? That’s nothing! If another dragon sees this, they’ll think we can’t afford to eat properly. Take as much as you want."

The Shadow Dragon felt another wave of overwhelming joy.

It had once again regained My Lord Shadow’s favor!

Still, it restrained itself, selecting a reasonably large piece before gulping it down.

"My Lord Shadow, I’m full. This Fire Dragon was quite strong—its flesh contains an incredible amount of power."

Tristan nodded, stepping forward to store the rest of the Fire Dragon’s body into his ring in batches.

By the time the last scale was packed away, his storage space was completely filled.

"Alright. Back to Davi City."

Tristan signaled for the Shadow Dragon to take off, swiftly leaving Crimson Mountain Range behind.

Before dying, Heloiris had let out a deafening roar.

Who knew when Takhtu might show up?

Just in case, it was best to disappear quickly.

If enough time passed, Tristan wouldn’t have to worry about Takhtu at all.

In fact, he’d welcome the opportunity for another dragon hunt.

On the way back, Tristan finally took the time to inspect the loot from the Fire Dragon.

Including the Crimson Flame Cloak he got from Sleight of Hand, there were a total of eight Epic Grade items.

No Legendary Grade drops.

A bit disappointing, but still a massive haul.

Sifting through the mountain of dragon meat, Tristan pulled out one of the glowing orbs.

It was an armor piece.

[Crimson Plate Armor] (Epic Grade)

Defense: +10,000 Strength: +1,500 Constitution: +2,000 Level Requirement: 75 Special Effect 1: High Physical Resistance – Reduces physical damage taken by 50%. Special Effect 2: Wild Vitality – Increases max HP by 20,000. Special Effect 3: Titan’s Strength – Strength +1,000.

A top-tier item—but not something he could use anytime soon.

He continued flipping through the loot.

Two more pieces of high-end equipment.

All of them had insane stats.

All of them completely unusable for now.

He sighed.

"I might’ve just looted gear for the next expansion."

By normal game progression, players wouldn’t even touch Level 75 equipment for another six months.

Once players completed their second class advancement, leveling became exponentially more difficult.

Even for Tristan, leveling up this quickly wouldn’t be sustainable forever.

As he pondered this, he checked the fourth item.

Not equipment—but a consumable item.

[Scorching Dragon Blood] (Epic Grade Consumable)

Effect: +100 to all attributes. Fire Resistance: +20%.

A blazing-hot, fiery-red orb of blood.

Tristan downed it in one gulp without hesitation.

A surge of power erupted within him, his stats climbing even higher.

He glanced at his stat window.

[Current Stats]:

Strength: 430+205 Constitution: 395+120 Agility: 1262+725 Spirit: 406+20

Absolutely ridiculous.

As his body adjusted to the new power, he examined the next drop.

[Fire Dragon Bloodline Factor] (Epic Grade Consumable)

Effect: Grants the Fire Dragon Bloodline. Increases Growth Rate: +10 to all stats per level, +5 bonus to Constitution growth. Initial Boost: +100 to all attributes. Warning: This will cause permanent physical changes to your character.

Tristan’s eyes lit up.

Now this was what he’d been waiting for!

Without a second thought, he extracted the glowing red droplet and drank it.

BOOM!

A massive energy wave exploded outward, nearly knocking the Shadow Dragon out of the sky.

For a brief moment, the Shadow Dragon thought the Fire Dragon had come back to life.

But it quickly realized—this was My Lord Shadow absorbing the Bloodline Factor.

"...Damn that Fire Dragon," the Shadow Dragon thought, feeling strangely jealous.

It had been lucky to be absorbed by My Lord Shadow.

Had things turned out differently, if it had lost the fight back in the underground chamber…

Would its Bloodline Factor have been consumed instead?

The greatest possible honor!

The Shadow Dragon was torn.

Should it have surrendered back then… or not?

On its back, Tristan’s transformation was complete.

His stats skyrocketed again.

[Current Stats]:

Strength: 530+205 Constitution: 495+120 Agility: 1362+725 Spirit: 506+20

His Agility had officially surpassed 2000.

His other stats were steadily approaching the 1000 mark.

And most importantly…

He was now ready for his Second Class Advancement.

A hardest-difficulty advancement quest.

One that would push his growth rate even higher.

At this point…

The gap between him and other players was becoming downright unfair.
