Chapter 43: Suppressed Strength

BOOOOM!

Kai and Gamela clashed and were immediately pushed back. Kai skidded on the ground until he came to a stop. He looked up and there Gamela was, standing with a grin on her face, but she wasn’t attacking again, she simply looked at Kai.

"I want you," she stated.

"Oh you have made that abundantly clear, and the answer is still no," Kai replied.

’I’ve not been able to handle anything so far, the raid is taking place and I’ve not been able to save anything, I’ve had about enough of this psycho player,’ Kai thought to himself.

He took a deep breath to calm his raging nerves and then locked his eyes on her. He immediately put away his sword and pulled out his second. The crimson glow caught the attention of Gamela as well as everyone in his stream.

[LegionHunter: Tell me that’s not a new sword.]

[CrimsonWolf: That’s definitely a new sword]

[Savage-Rider22: Where did he get a new sword from]

[LordGooner143: That doesn’t look like a cheap sword]

The chat exploded. Everyone began talking, it was like a massive eruption. Everyone was stunned to see that sword.

Gamela looked at the weapon, and then at Kai. "Seems you have more tricks in your bag," she said.

"Yeah, I do," Kai said. He took a step forward and got into a stance. "I don’t know how much stamina you have and how long you can keep this going for, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be running out soon regardless," Kai said.

"Ohh? Should I presume that you’re running out as well?" she asked.

"No, not at all," Kai said, a confident grin on his face as he spoke.

"I see." She sounded like she still wanted to keep going, but then she suddenly stopped. She stood still, and then let out a sigh, and looked to the sky above and slowly back to Kai.

"As much as I’d love to say I am in the best condition to fight? I’m sadly not," she stated, tilting her head to the side. "Entering a starter town at my level forcefully reduced my power by a very huge amount.

I believe that’s the game trying to keep some balance, that’s pretty sad." She muttered and then looked at him. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

’What the hell? Are you telling me that she was able to fight me this far without her true strength? She has to be bluffing, right? The town can’t do that, right?’

"Savage, anyone in chat, tell me this isn’t true," Kai asked.

[True]

[True]

[IDK]

Kai looked at every single chat as they rushed through and there was one thing he knew, and that was the fact that what she said was true for certain.

He looked at Gamela again. "So if we had met outside?"

"I would have completely destroyed you and had you for myself," she said, licking her lips again. She suddenly turned around and started walking. "I believe you’ll be leaving this place soon. Be watchful out there, this world is far more dangerous than this town shows it to be, and you are a succulent meal," she said before walking off.

Kai didn’t even try to chase. He simply stood there, watching her vanish into the smoke of the destruction happening.

He staggered backward, his stamina low, his mental state also in shambles. He never thought he would have such a drawn out fight.

Curious, Kai pulled up his streamer screen to see what was happening and instantly nearly passed out from fear. What he saw there was ten thousand viewers at that very moment, and he had received a total of three hundred gifts of different types and more were coming in.

He couldn’t even speak. He simply stared at the number on the screen. He didn’t know that the fight had hyped this up so much that he gathered that many viewers.

"To everyone viewing the stream right now, thank you," Kai said, giving a slight bow. Then his eyes turned serious. "Now let’s take out all the raiders in the town and ensure that we get rewards," he said, full of conviction. He switched back to his original sword.

"Mira, let’s go," Kai said.

She looked over at him, nodded and followed behind. Kai jogged through the town, looking around to see what was salvageable. The entire town had been broken and was still getting attacked.

Kai passed by an alley when a scream came from it. He looked over there and he saw a child NPC running out, a scared little girl, and behind was a raider with a wide grin on his face.

Kai frowned. His feet pressed against the ground and he launched forward, palm first into the head of the man, so hard that the feet of the man lifted from the ground and he was basically floating in the air.

"Disgusting," Kai said before slamming the raider hard into the ground, almost completely taking his life out.

The raider was left with a huge injury and a health bar that was almost empty.

Kai lifted the raider up, looking him right in the eye. "Disgusting creatures," he muttered. "Even in a game, how can you have satisfaction chasing a child, tch," Kai clicked his tongue.

"Now, tell me everything about this raid, who is leading and where is he?" Kai asked.

He realized that if he was to keep attacking the raiders, he wouldn’t get anywhere with this. The only way for him to try and end this as fast as possible was to attack the head.

Normally he would think someone like Gamela was still the boss, but the issue was that he could tell she was here for fun, and not for any particular reason unlike the raiders, even if she had come with them.

The raider didn’t want to talk, but Kai knew a way to make him talk.

"If I kill you, they’ll expel you, right? So save yourself some banishment and talk now, or die and lose everything that’s important to you."
