The moment Ashley activates her skill, everyone in the stadium goes silent. Meanwhile the other competitors within the same System Event turn to watch her even if they weren't already doing so.
Because it's hard for them not to as lightning shoots out of the Princess of Chaos in a massive beam that heads straight over the island. With the gold, crimson, and black lightning all jumping from one monster to another every time they hit one. Sometimes even after already killing the monster it's jumping from.
Turning the entire sky above the island the princess destroyed into the domain of a goddess of lightning.
Even the other monsters within the System Event turn to look at the display as the crackle of thunder fills every inch of the map.
The attack itself lasts for several minutes as the massive beam of lightning slowly moves around to cover the entire island while also occasionally getting close to or even striking other islands as the lightning continues past the island. Damaging them and slaughtering monsters on them along with some other competitors who never even had a chance to dodge the lightning.
Meanwhile the lightning over the princess's island itself has quickly turned into a massive field of lightning as it bounces off of every living being still over the island.
Destroying absolutely everything in its path.
And in the midst of all this, the spectators all watch as Ashley herself floats high above the island with black, crimson, and golden electricity flowing through her body and repeatedly arcing out of her. Making her look like a goddess of lightning.
This soon sparks a new nickname for her across the System Forums and the entire universe as people begin to refer to her as the Goddess of Lightning.
But amongst the hunters watching Ashley, two in particular pay close attention to her.
The Successors of Magic and Sin.
Amongst the two, the Successor of Magic faintly smiles as he sees her most likely ally in the event slaughtering everything with ease and living up to her reputation as the Queen of Destruction. And the Successor of Sin just stares coldly in her direction before his grin slowly begins to return. The man beginning to grow excited at the thought of defeating someone as powerful as her.
Because if he can defeat the woman who managed to kill a Unique Monster, then it will serve as a stepping stone for his own reputation.
Regardless of what Erebos has told him about her, she has now become his personal target.
When the lightning begins to slow down and fade, with the princess's level and number of potential skills rapidly rising, the audience watching the event breaks out into uncontrollable roars of excitement and awe.
But the Princess of Chaos herself simply flutters her eyes open and looks at the destruction she's brought upon the islands.
And at the corpses of the monsters spread across them.

Well that's a lot of messages. And a lot of dead bodies.
Not that I can really see those through the messages.
I skim over the majority of the messages about skills I've obtained from the monsters to just look at the level gain and points I've gotten.

Surprisingly not that many more monsters than I killed in the last batch. But at the same time, they were all significantly higher level monsters on average.
So more points for the System Event, but fewer actual System Points for me.
Which is a pity, but what the heck.
I did get quite a few new skills. And some good skills at that.
Most of which are all lightning or sky related in some way.
Even that basilisk's skill is lightning related.
A higher rank lightning mana manipulation skill.
It's still too bad that these mana manipulation skills don't stack though. Which kind of makes the lower ranking versions of them completely useless after I get a higher ranking version.
But whatever. It's not like it really matters.
It is a pity that I didn't get a perfect lightning mana manipulation skill though. But maybe the boss of this event will have it.
Because it would definitely be nice to get myself another perfect manipulation. Just like destruction.
Something tells me the boss won't have it though.
After all, even the high ranking Unique Domain monsters didn't have it other than the Unique Monster itself. So why would the boss of a random low Class System Event have a perfect manipulation?
On a side note…
I go ahead and open up the leaderboards for points.
Right. That's a lot.
I currently have a couple thousand more points than any other hunter in this event. Which pretty much leaves my position at first place rather unshakeable.
But that's not all sunshine and fluffy stuffed tigers.
Because I can already see the other hunters beginning to head in my direction with a rather hungry look in their eyes.
Yep.
Now they're all ignoring the monsters and going after the person with the massive target over their head.
After all, why would they go and hunt the other monsters for a few points apiece when they can hunt me for 25% of my points? Netting them a total of almost a thousand points in one kill.
And this alone makes it pretty obvious why that addition to the rules is there.
The bright side is that not all of the other hunters are heading in my direction. It's only the hunters level 200 and above that are doing so.
All the others are just continuing with their own hunts on other islands.
Surprisingly enough, the Successor of Magic and the Successor of Sin are staying behind as well. In fact, they look like they're about to sit back and watch what happens.
Although the Successor of Magic seems to be looking at the Successor of Sin more than anything else.
Almost like she's watching him to make sure he doesn't make a move.
Come to think of it, what sort of Successor Skills do the Successors of Sin get anyways?
"You don't have to worry about them," Chaos says, sounding a little bored at this point. "Just keep on doing your thing, sweetheart."
I blink at that for a moment before shrugging to myself.

"By the way, what was that thought about fluffy stuffed tigers?" Chaos comments, with his voice taking on an amused tone this time.
A very faint blush spreads across my face. At which point I decide to ignore him and focus on the approaching hunters.
"Don't mind me, just gonna go and search your old rooms on Val from before your accident…" Chaos mutters with his amusement growing by the second. Just like the blush on my face.
"Don't you dare!" I mutter out loud with my eyes narrowing more than a little bit.
I just hear Chaos laughing in my head.
Please tell me he's not actually going to do that… or at least that someone cleared out the room I remember from my memories with Blake…
"Oh, well this is an interesting sight to see," Chaos says, making my eyes widen in shock before narrowing. "You really do have a stuffed fluffy tiger on your bed!"
My face turns beet red at that. Fortunately the viewers probably can't tell because of the glowing crimson electricity sparking across my body.
"And here I was wondering where your cute side was hiding," Chaos jokes with a laugh. "So adorable."
That doesn't help the blush.
I turn my focus on the hunters as I fly high above the ruined-and-still-magma-covered-island, just waiting for them to get here.
