As A Mafia Boss, I Refuse To Be An Extra-Chapter 142: More!
Damian was already on the move!
Not with Aura enhancement or any technique or skill. Just pure physical capability that now exceeded anything a human should be capable of.
He grabbed a Giant’s arm as it swung a hammer toward him. His hand closed around the wrist and squeezed.
CRACK.
"AHHH!"
Bones shattered as the Giant screamed. Damian didn’t let go, instead he twisted and pulled with his enhanced strength.
The arm tore free from the shoulder socket with a wet sound, armor and flesh ripping as the blood sprayed.
BANG
Damian drove the severed arm, still gripping its hammer, into another Giant’s face with enough force to cave in the skull.
A Giant tried to tackle him, using superior size to overwhelm him.
BOOM
Damian braced himself and caught the charge, his feet sliding back slightly but holding position.
’I’m physically strong enough to match them now. Maybe stronger than these D rank ones...’
BANG
"Argh!"
He headbutted the Giant, his reinforced skull meeting armored face and winning as the Giant’s nose shattered with blood exploding across both of them.
Then Damian’s hands found the Giant’s throat.
CRUNCH
He squeezed, and kept squeezing, his fingers digging through armor and flesh, crushing the windpipe and spine, not stopping until his hands met in the middle and the Giant’s head was nearly severed.
"Roar!"
Another Giant swung an axe at his back.
Damian spun as he caught the axe blade with his bare hand, his reinforced palm stopping the weapon completely.
Blood ran from where the edge cut his skin, but the wound was superficial... His density was too great for the blade to penetrate deeply.
SLICE
"AHHHH!"
He ripped the axe from the Giant’s grip and swung it one-handed, the massive weapon moving with speed that shouldn’t be possible, catching the Giant across the waist and splitting him in half.
The two halves fell in different directions, intestines connecting them briefly before tearing.
Damian’s movements became more frantic, more brutal and less controlled.
He wasn’t fighting tactically anymore.
He was killing with savage efficiency, his mind slipping further into bloodlust with each death!
His Slaughter Intent enhanced as he was lost in his slaughter!
Looking at Damian butchering them like a savage...
A Giant turned to run.
Damian covered the distance in three massive leaps and grabbed the fleeing warrior by the helmet, his fingers denting the metal.
CRACK
He yanked backward, the Giant’s momentum combined with Damian’s strength resulting in the neck breaking with an audible snap.
But Damian didn’t stop there.
"AHHH–"
He kept pulling and tearing... ripping the head completely free from the body, spine dangling from the severed neck.
Two Giants remained standing, backing away in genuine fear, their weapons raised but their hands shaking.
"M-monster! What kind of human–"
Damian’s mouth opened, revealing teeth that seemed too sharp, too predatory.
He lunged at the nearest Giant, moving faster than the warrior could track, and his teeth sank into the exposed neck where armor didn’t quite cover.
CRUNCH
"AHHHH!"
He bit down, his jaw strength enhanced beyond human limits, and tore away a chunk of flesh and windpipe.
Blood filled his mouth as he swallowed it without thinking, the taste of Giant blood now familiar after consuming so much in the cave.
Gurgle Gurgle
The Giant collapsed, choking on his own blood, hands uselessly trying to hold closed a wound that was too catastrophic to survive.
The final Giant warrior dropped his weapon and fell to his knees as he spoke in human language.
"Mercy! Please! I surrender! I–"
PUFF
Damian’s hand punched through the Giant’s chest armor, through the sternum, wrapping around the still-beating heart. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
And then he pulled.
The heart came free with a wet tearing sound, arteries and veins snapping, blood spraying across Damian’s arm and face.
He held it for a moment, watching it beat twice more in his palm before stopping.
Then dropped it carelessly and looked around at the carnage he’d created.
All twenty Giants lay dead in a matter of a few minutes.
"Huff...Huff..."
His breathing was heavy, his body covered in blood, his crimson eyes wild with something that wasn’t quite human anymore.
Kuro landed beside him, equally covered in gore, his red eyes glowing with satisfaction.
"...More."
Damian’s voice came out rough, almost growling.
"I need more... This isn’t enough! Bring me MOREE!!"
He started walking, not bothering to clean the blood from his face or hands.
"Find me MORE, Kuro! I’m still fucking hungry."
The raven cawed in agreement and took flight again, scanning for the next patrol.
What Damian didn’t realize, couldn’t recognize in his current state, was how severe the consequences of his new art truly were.
Normal awakeners at his rank didn’t possess Will stats high enough to counter the mental degradation that came from using this art to forge his body into a weapon.
The average C- rank awakener had Will in the range of 50-100 at most.
Damian’s base Will of 230 was extraordinarily high, the result of two lifetimes of experience and the mental fortitude required to maintain his Slaughter Intent.
That abnormally high Will was the only thing keeping him from losing his mind entirely to the bestial instincts that came from devouring so many Giants in such a short period of time.
Even reduced to 140, his Will was still above average, still functional and still maintaining just enough control to keep him from becoming a mindless killing machine.
But barely!
Right now, he walked the razor’s edge between controlled violence and complete savagery.
A beast that retained enough intelligence to plan, to hunt efficiently and to maximize the damage it inflicted.
And a beast in control, one that could think and strategize while operating on pure predatory instinct, was far more dangerous than a mindless monster that simply attacked everything in sight.
The Giants had no idea what was coming for them!
They thought they were the apex predators in this portal world.
But... they were about to learn they’d trapped themselves with something that made their warrior culture look soft by comparison!
Damian Valcor, transformed by his own desperate experiment, was now the most dangerous thing in this mini-world.
And... he was just beginning his hunt!
