The player ignored him and jumped to the next tree. Akumbo followed the player, matching the pace.

"How?" He did not give up despite being ignored, "How are you killing them all in one shot?"

The player seemed annoyed at his persistence and glanced at him for a moment, "Aren't you watching me? Maybe start paying attention instead of bothering me."

Akumbo knew he would not get the answer from the player and decided to follow the player. He realized that the player went past the seven dead bodies, "Aren't you going to take the bodies?"

The Vultrak's meat was quite tasty, albeit needing a specific way to cook the meat. Their feathers could be used to make arrows as well. But he did not get to explain all of that because the player suddenly picked up his pace.

"You can take it if you want!"

The player tried to leave him after saying that, but Akumbo followed the man instead of taking the dead prey. He followed the man, and they came to a stop after a while. He could not hold his curiosity and was about to ask why they suddenly stopped, but he did not need to ask because he found out why.

Around five trees away from where they were, he found another group of Vultrak. This time it was a group of five Vultrak. He was surprised that the player managed to find the Vultrak because he would not be able to find it without the player stopping. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Akumbo said nothing and fixed his gaze on the player. He would not miss the shoot this time. The player made the same elemental arrow made of wind. His eye followed the wind arrow as the player released it.

The arrow was so fast that he barely caught it. Then he found out why the man could kill multiple beasts in one shot. The wind arrow split into five smaller arrows and hit five Vultrak's heads at the same time.

After that, the player moved again, and Akumbo was still replaying the arrow movement. When it split, the five arrows were so accurate to the head. He was amazed because the player should not be able to control the split arrows.

'Or maybe he could control the arrow…' Akumbo recalled the image in his mind.

He yearned for that kind of ability, but he knew that to make an elemental arrow, he needed an Elemental Power. The only one with Elemental Power ability was Chief Moussa, and Chief Moussa already had his pupils. That was the only way for him to learn Elemental Power. The admiration turned into jealousy. If he was not imprisoned inside this place, he might be able to learn an Elemental Power.

Akumbo kept his expression neutral and followed the player. They jumped from one tree to another. At first, he thought the man was just jumping around randomly. But the thoughts were gone because the player kept finding the target, Vultrak.

The player found another group of eight Vultrak for the third time, and he killed in the same way he killed the previous Vultrak. The number did not stop the man from killing them in one shot.

He was convinced that the player did not just choose a random direction to explore after they found the tenth group of Vultrak. The player must have a way to find where the beasts were, an ability or a skill for sure.

Akumbo quickly realized that he had not seen any other beasts except for Vultrak. They managed to avoid the other beasts on the way here. This was the tenth encounter with Vultrak.

"You can't keep hunting Vultrak, Sir!"

Realizing the man was hunting Vultrak, he stopped the player from hunting the next group of Vultrak, "If you keep hunting Vultrak. If you hunt them to their extinction, you will ruin the balance in our forest, Sir."

He learned it from his teacher in the village. Hunter was not killing the beast randomly or to their extinction. In fact, the hunter is protecting the cycle to keep the balance. Unless a certain breed was overpopulating the forest, then they would need to weed out that breed. He hated Vultrak, but he would not hunt them until they were extinct because that would ruin the balance in the forest.

Akumbo expected the player to ignore his warning and prepared a reasonable explanation in his head. To his surprise, the player heeded his warning.

"Alright."

The player stopped for a moment before picking a direction. Deep inside, he doubted the player. The doubt disappeared when the player found a new prey. He recognized the beast, Tharlynx.

It was two meters tall and had six feet. It had crooked black antlers, brown fur with white spots on its back, and hoofs made of steel. They were known for moving in a pack and herbivores, but they did not hesitate to attack and impale the enemies if they were attacked. The one thing that a hunter must know about this beast was the speed. Tharlynx were known for their speed and maneuver, especially in this forest. One of the quickest beasts in the forest, and hunters loved to hunt them.

If Vultrak's meat was tasty, Tharlynx meat was a delicacy that hunters sought. The hunter from his village had difficulty tracking them because Tharlynx did not leave any track even though they moved into a pack. That was another reason why it was so hard to hunt them.

Akumbo took out his bow from his back and nocked an arrow, but a hand stopped him. He glanced and met with the player's eyes, "What are you doing? Are you going to steal my prey?"

He opened his mouth, but no words were coming out. He did not know what to say because he realized that he was in the wrong this time. The player found them, so it was natural for the player to have the first shot. There was no rule or law in his village for this issue, but it was a hunter code, or proper conduct between hunters even if they hunted as a group. The first one to spot the beast, the said person had the right for the first shot.

"I am really sorry, Sir," Akumbo made no excuse and apologized.

Tang Shaoyang had a suspicion for this hunter named Akumbo. He thought the guy was a decent guy, but the man was disrupting him a few times already. He had a suspicion that the hunter wanted to sabotage his hunt even though he did not understand why. Then Akumbo apologized earnestly, a genuine apology.

He could tell that from the man's facial expression and tone. It might be an honest mistake, but he did not bother to dig further into details.

He positioned himself and pulled his bow. Three wind arrows formed in his bow because there were twenty-one targets. He was not confident to hit all the targets with just one arrow. He released the three arrows from the tree, and three wind arrows split into forty-five wind arrows midway.

To his surprise, the beast seemed to be able to hear the incoming arrows. They startled and started to run, and fortunately, he increased the numbers. He managed to hit most of them, fifteen of them. He was surprised because Tharlynx was just a Primordial Rank Beast, and they managed to escape from the arrow.

Tang Shaoyang was about to chase the fleeing Tharlynx, but Akumbo called him with urgency but became more polite.

"Sir! We must collect the bodies now, Sir! I have to insist this time!"

He was annoyed as Akumbo tried to slow him down, "Give me a reason not to shoot your leg!"

Akumbo was startled for a moment, and the man collected himself quickly, "Because Tharlynx is a renowned delicacy, Sir. Trust me, Sir. You will not regret bringing them back with you! As you can see, they are perceptive and fast. We are having a hard time tracking and hunting them down. We can't waste their meat, Sir."

Deep inside, Akumbo was nervous when the player threatened him. However, he did not give up on convincing the player. He was being honest and earnest.

Tang Shaoyang looked at the dead Tharlynx, "I guess that's good enough," He came down from the tree and collected all the dead Tharlynx.

Akumbo was shocked as in fact, he was ready to fight the player. He did not expect for the player to listen to him, at all.
