Armipotent-Chapter 1823: An Actual Primordial Monster
"I would like half of the equipment from the void creatures." Tang Shaoyang stated his condition.
He would need an armory for his future army, and he was preparing for it right now. Whether they could be used or not, would depend on the dwarves. However, he had a deep trust in the dwarves that they could make it work, reusing the materials to get better equipment.
Of course, there was another reason behind his stay in the frontier. He had not yet achieved his main goal coming here, to create an army of Archaic Spirit. He would need a lot of sacrifices, and this place was the best one to get those sacrifices.
Especially with the current situation where the Void Cult was relentlessly attacking the frontier. He would receive a big supply of sacrifices. The equipment was a bonus for him.
Commander Edson furrowed his brow as he felt half of the loot was too much. Even though the frontier had an excess in their armory, it didn’t mean he could share them with outsiders. But he knew that he must pay something to make Tang Shaoyang stay.
"Fifty percent loot is too much as we also need them. How about eighty-twenty?"
Tang Shaoyang shook his head. "This is non-negotiable, Commander Edson. Just so you know, staying here means I am risking my life for your legion, at the same time, your legion might try to kill me behind your back."
Commander Edson let out a sigh. "Alright, I agree with the even split for the loot." He trusted his guts to keep Tang Shaoyang in the frontier.
"Why do you want to stay here even though they tried to kill you?" Arion could not help but ask. He was so curious about what made Tang Shaoyang want to stay. ’Is he getting overconfident after fighting three hundred soldiers? I hope not.’
Tang Shaoyang shrugged. "I have my own reason."
"Let’s change the terms." Clementine intervened, "Instead of four years, it will be one year of service. I believe one year is enough for you to figure out what happens with the army of the void creatures, and you can come up with a better solution than relying on one person right, Commander Edson?"
"Yes, one year is sufficient, but I don’t mind if Senior Administrator Tang Shaoyang wants to stay longer in the frontier." Commander Edson smiled after securing the deal.
Clementine shook her head. "If the situation gets worse, we have to assign him somewhere else." She stood up. "I don’t have much time. I will take my—"
Her voice stopped as Chief Kenver raised his hand and cut her off. "There’s still something we need to discuss Executive Administrator Clementine. I want to know whether Senior Administrator Tang Shaoyang will receive a punishment for his transgression against one of my people and three hundred soldiers of the Hurakan Legion? Regardless of who was at fault and who was in the wrong, what he did had crossed the line."
The moment Arion heard that from the man named Kenver, he felt a bad premonition. He looked at Clementine’s expression, and he knew this would not end well.
Clementine paused and stared at Chief Kenver with a surprised expression. Then she smiled as she returned to her seat as if she was interested. "How old are you, Chief Kenver?"
Chief Kenver furrowed his brow, "I don’t think my age is related to what I asked."
"Oh, it relates. Do you know the Shozzebet War? Did you experience the era of the Shozzebet War?" The moment she mentioned that Commander Edson and Chief Kenver’s faces turned ugly.

It was a past even before the Hurakan Kingdom was assigned to guard the Void Gate. It was the era before the Hurakan Kingdom, and at that time, the Hurakan Kingdom was known as the Empire of Shozzebet. They were one of the fearful factions, standing alone and they were known to bring fear to most of the alliances just like how the Ancient Kingdom now.
However, the Empire of Shozzebet’s greatness was over when their people killed an administrator on duty to kill the void creature. Everything was similar to what happened right now. The Admin Helper from the killed administrator was killed, and the administrator avenged his Admin Helper which led to the Empire of Shozzebet deploying two legions to kill an administrator team.
That was the start of the Shozzebet War and the administrators dominated the war. The Empire of Shozzebet had more than one hundred worlds under its name, and it was reduced to just ten worlds in the war. More than half was abandoned as it received the wrath of the Executive Administrator.
It was just a matter of time until the administrator wiped out the Empire of Shozzebet until the System Avatar appeared to mediate. Ever since the Empire of Shozzebet no longer existed it was known as The Hurakan Kingdom now. Of course, Chief Kenver had not yet been born at that time, but most of the high-ranking officers knew the historical moment.
"Do you know that I just stopped what might be the second Shozzebet War?"
Commander Edson and Chief Kenver tensed up.
"Of course, it will never happen again because I know your king will have your head cut instead of going to war against us." Clementine maintained her smile. Even though it did not sound like a threat, everything she said was the truth. If she brought this incident up as a complaint to the Hurakan Kingdom, Chief Kenver would take all the blame and be responsible for failing to watch his subordinate.
"I am kind enough to stop everything here, and you are asking me to punish my people because he protected his life and his team? Are you being serious with me, Chief Kenver? Shouldn’t it be me who is asking you what’s your punishment for your negligence?"
Despite her smile, the whole room was engulfed with her aura. The table started to crack, and it spread out to the floor and the wall as the whole building started to shake. Her aura was not just intimidating, but it contained destructive power.
Chief Kenver who became the target of her aura lost the color on his face as sweat soaked his back and face. His eyes filled with terror as he immediately looked down, not daring to look Clementine in the eyes.
Tang Shaoyang finally felt it again, fear and terror. This reminded him of when he first met Avyn and Rumru the Black Dragon. He was frozen and scared, as he realized that Clementine might be much stronger than he thought. He thought he was on a similar level to the Executive Administrator, but Clementine showed the gap between them, at least in terms of aura.
"Calm down, Clementine!" Arion immediately called out. "Are you going to kill him?"
Clementine rolled her eyes and pulled her aura back. "I don’t think the king would mind even if I kill him. But let’s not make things more complicated for you." The last part was for Tang Shaoyang. If she killed Chief Kenver, it would make the situation worse for Tang Shaoyang.
She stood up, "Don’t let my aura get into your head, Senior Administrator. You are as strong as most of the Executive Administrators, and you need to live more than a thousand years if you want to have a similar aura to mine. You need to polish your aura with more blood and battle. And from today onward, you are officially Chief Administrator. As long as your team finished the one-year service in the frontier, they would receive their promotion as well, mostly for Admin Helper and Junior Administrators."
Clementine intentionally promoted Tang Shaoyang right in front of Chief Kenver. She was showing the man that not just Tang Shaoyang did not receive a punishment, but he received his reward earlier. It was just another kick for Chief Kenver.
She stood up and glanced at Chief Kenver who still looked down. "Know your place and limit because I might not be as kind as today, Chief Kenver."
Then she said nothing else as she opened a portal to return, and Arion was shaking his head as he followed Clementine.
Commander Edson was breathing heavily as it was the first time after a long time to experience such a dreadful aura. He felt so close to the death’s door, and he thought he would be dead for sure when he realized that Chief Kenver just pissed off an Executive Administrator. The remainder of the Shozzebet War was a wake-up call for him as well.
Commander Edson calmed down, "I don’t plan to make a report for what happened, Chief Kenver. But I have to include everything in the report after you provoke an ancient monster. I should let the kingdom know."
He then looked toward Tang Shaoyang. "I will make sure that no one will try to kill you, Sen— Chief Administrator Tang Shaoyang. If you caught my people trying to scheme against you again, you can handle them as you fit! However, I will make sure it will not happen!" He promised.
