After they walked for a while. "Here is a good spot." Diana's voice stopped Olivia in her tracks.

"Sure." Olivia agreed. Their eyes gazed at each other.

"What are you waiting for?" Diana asked, her brows slightly raised.

"I can't do my business, when you are standing there, staring at me." Olivia replied, her lips pulsed as her hand clenched around her stomach.

Diana stared at her for a couple of seconds before blinking away. " Be fast about it." She said, before walking a few steps back, turning her back at her.

Olivia's lips pressed into a thin line, as she gazed at Diana's retreating body. After confirming that she wouldn't be able to see her, she took a few steps further into the cave.

She gently brought out Little White, cradling his coiled body in her palms. His body shimmered with a dim light.

" Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" She petted his head with her finger. " I know this wasn't the plan, but you have to hold on, okay." She whispered.

Her voice cracked with emotions, this was all her fault, he had been using his powers to save her. As she caressed him, she noticed his body was getting dried.

"You need water?" Her brows furrowed in concern. ' I need to get him some water.' Her ears picked up the sound of the dripping water.

"I hear the sound of water close by, I will get you some." She turned to make sure Diana was not looking. She walked towards the source of the dripping water.

'The light.' She looked up at the light which refused to follow her. 'Fine I will just go without you.'

In front of her were three separate passageways, she closed her eyes, listening to the direction the sound was coming from. Her eyes opened, a smile formed on her lips as she took the left passageway.

She soon arrived in a chamber. Her breath hitched at the sight before her. Light flickered through the cave. " Fireflies." She reached out, a rare, genuine smile tugging at her lips.

But this wasn't the reason she was here, she walked towards the water source, her legs pressed deep into the wet ground. The sound of the water filled the air. A body of water filled half of the chamber, like a lake.

A prickling sensation crawled up her skin, like unseen spiders. Her body instantly felt numb as her hair stood up in protest.

She swallowed hard. "There is nothing wrong, it's all in your head." She chanted. She headed towards the water dripping from the rocks, she gently placed Little White under it.

Little white moved slightly in her hand, relief washed over her. Her lips widened into a smile, her eyes squinting slightly. He was regaining his strength.

She was so engrossed in her emotions and Little White that she failed to notice the shift in the air. "We should head back before Diana would start suspecting." She gave him a kiss before gently drying his body.

She turned, wanting to leave. Her smile gradually disappeared from her face. Blood drained from her face.

'What have I done.'

Her eyes stared mindlessly at the creature rising from the water, droplets cascading down its body like a fountain.

Its black and red tentacles moved arbitrarily in the air. Its three black soulless eyes pierce through her soul. The monster's head was red, its mouth lined with jagged teeth. Its skin had scales.

A chill crept up her spine. Her fingers trembled as she shoved Little White into her pocket. The air felt thick, suffocating. Was this how it would end?"

Screech.

The monster's tentacles slashed at her, she barely ducked in time as it whizzed past her. Olivia ran towards the entrance, but a tentacle obstructed her path.

' What should I do? What should I do?' Panic surged through her. She stumbled back, yanking out her gun. She aimed for its eyes. The echo of the gunshots, and the screeching sound of the monster filled the air, along with the splashes of water here and there.

The bullets bounced off its body. Olivia felt a cold and wet sensation wrapping around her leg, before she could react, the tentacle lifted her up before hitting her against the wall. Agony exploded through her spine as she slammed against the rock. Her lungs emptied in a sharp gasp.

Blood gushed out from her head. Her vision was blurred. Her heart pounded in her ears. Her gun slipped from her grip, falling to the ground.

'So this is the end for me? Little White I am sorry, I could not save you rather I brought you to your death' Tears streamed down her face.

Her body dangled in the air as the tentacles brought her closer to the monster's mouth . Its mouth opened wide, as its tongue flickered across its teeth.

Olivia's eyes opened, her blurring eyes becoming clearer. Her eyes widened in panic as she saw her final destination. She reached for her twin blade, her hand trembled from pain and fear, but she couldn't give up just like this.

As she got closer to it, she curled and slashed its tentacle. Her blade tore through its flesh, thick and rubbery like wet leather. A foul stench burst into the air as dark liquid oozed from the wound, the monster screeched from the pain. Olivia fell from the height, she was still going to end up in its mouth.

Her eyes sparked with resilience, her blade pierced at one of its eyes. She held onto the blade as her legs dangled in its mouth.

Screech.

The monster cried out painfully, as it moved around arbitrarily. Olivia couldn't hold on anymore and she was sent flying against the wall.

Blood splattered from her lips as she coughed. Her hand protectively touched the pocket little white was in. This was no time to dawdle, the monster's tentacles were crashing down the wall, causing the rocks to fall down.

Olivia dragged herself up, before running out of the chamber.

Meanwhile Diana had been searching for her, as she was taking too long.

Crash.

She heard weird sounds of gunshots and screeching, her throat tightened as she stepped further into the cave. Her heart pounded as she stepped forward, every instinct screaming that something was wrong.

'Olivia!' she called again, voice sharp with panic. No response. Damn it. Why didn't she listen?

She stood in front of three pathways. She didn't know which one to take, and the noise had stopped.

She didn't know which path to take. If she chose wrong, Olivia could already be...

Her gaze lingered on the left pathway, but she chose the right one instead.
