Apocalyptic Rebirth: With a repairman system space, she rises again.-Chapter 642: Bow before Earl, the beast master.
Sunshine remembered the vocoder_ the device that helped translate the bear’s complex vocalizations. She approached White, gently massaging the base of his neck to soothe the vibrating tension. "It’s okay champ, they won’t hurt you."
White responded with a moan and tried to climb up Sunshine’s body, seeking to be given the same treat as he had received when he was a cub. But his size was not suitable anymore and this just made him sad, making him burst into tears.
Sunshine sighed. What had she turned a fierce alien bear into? He was spoiled more than a prince of any kingdom! Was it time to make him start battling with the superhumans in the training field?
"What happened to him?" She asked Earl. "Did you pinch him again?"
Earl gasped first. "Boy you pinch a bear once and it brands you forever," he muttered. "White does not like my new friends," He raised his voice slightly and looked down; his eyes were fixed on a small Arcladon perched on his knee.
Hades stood in the doorway, his jaw practically hitting the floor. "New friends? Earl, there is a literal zoo in our house. It’s not just the lizard anymore. It’s... it’s everything."
"Berry!" Sunshine and Earl shouted in unison.
"His name is Berry, not the lizard." Earl reminded him.
Hades raised his hands in a gesture of total surrender. "Fine! Strawberry! Whatever! But how did they get in?"
"Just Berry." Earl insisted.
Sunshine threw Hades a look that said, ’why are you being difficult?’
Hades looked at the maids in turn. "Ladies, do you have an explanation?"
Jill and Cathy, who had been standing awkwardly in the corner of the kitchen, finally spoke up. "We just found a long line waiting outside the door this morning," Jill said, sounding half-amazed and half-terrified. "We heard scratches and as soon as we opened the door to see what the noise was, they just... marched in. Like they had invitations."
"Or lived here." Cathy added.
"What is happening! Mom, make them go away!" Ariel’s voice wailed from behind his bedroom door. He and Castiel were peeking through a crack, refusing to step foot into the animal kingdom. "There’s a mutated dog looking at me like I’m a snack!"
Sunshine let out a sigh. "No, it’s not."
Zulu perched on the back of a chair, huffing. "This is the problem! The birds won’t listen to me! I told the mutated dogs and all of them to move, and they blinked at me! Me! The Great Zulu! They only listen to the boy. We have a rebellion on our hands. What are we going to do about this? Should we kill the boy or send him to the prison base? It is what we do to rebels in this base after all."
Jill and Cathy gasped.
Sunshine threw a pillow at Zulu.
Hades found another reason to dislike the parrot.
Sunshine and Hades turned their gaze toward their son. Earl looked up and offered a small, shy smile. "Watch this," He whispered. He stood up slowly and made a soft, clicking sound with his tongue. He didn’t shout; he didn’t even point. He just looked at the assembly and said, "Everyone leave now. I will call you later for playtime."
As if a silent whistle had been blown, the room erupted into motion. The birds took flight, streaming out of the open window in a blur of wings. The dogs stood up and trotted toward the door. The frogs hopped off the table in a synchronized line, and the cat gave a playful yip before disappearing into the hallway. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Within thirty seconds, the living room was empty of everything fur and claws except the family, White, Zulu and a few stray feathers.
"Unbelievable!" Zulu shouted, flying to the table. "Purple the least you can do is calm my nerves with a good breakfast. Your son has distorted the natural hierarchy! I will never forgive him for this. He is on my shit list forever."
Suddenly, a familiar chime echoed in Sunshine’s mind.
[The boy has awakened animal communication and synchronicity abilities.]
Sunshine’s knees felt a little weak. She gasped, leaning against the wall. "He’s a Beast Master," she whispered. Earl... he’s not just ’good with animals.’ He can control them."
Hades sank into a nearby chair, his face pale. As a man who preferred things to be logical and manageable, the idea of his son commanding a legion of wild animals was, to put it mildly, terrifying. "A Beast Master? That sounds... incredibly dangerous."
"How? Why him?" Ariel rushed out of his room now that the hawk was gone, his face a mix of jealousy and awe. "I’m the oldest! Why don’t I get a cool superpower? It is not fair! Mom give me a superpower."
"Me too." Castiel demand, hands on his waist. His round overstuffed small stomach poking out of his shirt.
Sunshine shrugged, still looking at Earl, who was now back on the floor, scratching White behind the ears. The bear looked much happier now that the competition had been evicted. "I can’t help you with that, you just have to wait and see." What she could do was give them the mutant pill the system gave her. It would increase their chances of awakening.
The bear growled out something unintelligible.
"White wants bananas and coconut milk." Earl said.
Hades rose up. "He told you that?"
Earl nodded. "Yes....and he also wants to accompany mom to Veldek if she ever goes back there. He says it is too dangerous for her to be alone in the forest of deadly beasts."
The room went dead silent. Sunshine’s heart skipped a beat. She knelt down in front of him. "Thank you White but I do not know if you have the strength to fight those wild beasts in your world. I would have to protect you if I took you along."
White let out a threatening roar and smashed the coffee table with his paw.
"He says he is very strong."
Sunshine nodded. "We can all see that."
White jumped and smashed the flowerpot and beat his chest proudly. Then he grinned while the kids chuckled.
The tension in the living room dissolved into the kind of comfortable chaos that only a family with a budding Beast Master and a talking parrot could manage. Sunshine launched into a lecture on the dangers Earl was facing by attempting to control so many animals at the same time.
Earl stood up, dusting off his knees, looking far more composed than the adults in the room.
"I’m fine, really," Earl assured them, his voice small but steady. "I’ll stay away from the scary trouble. I just wanted to see if they’d listen."
Ariel, who was finally over the jealousy had an idea. "Actually, Earl, this is kind of good. Think about it. Next time a pack of mutants decides to snack on our gates, you can just walk out there and tell them to go find a hobby. Problem solved. We don’t even have to fight them."
Earl nodded solemnly, considering the logic. "That is a good idea. I could tell them to go play in the woods. Let me start by commanding the watchers to go back to their home."
"No!" Sunshine, Hades and Zulu screamed.
