Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 42: Finding the Wife and Kids

Seeing a familiar face, everyone they met along the way would greet Ma Yongcheng before they realized something. Their faces would stiffen and they ultimately avoided him.

Even someone who was kind enough and wanted to tell him his wife and kids’ whereabouts would be dragged away by other beastmen. Their eyes were filled with reproach.

So many people were acting suspiciously. Ma Yongcheng was now a hundred percent certain they were hiding something from him. Since it was the case, he wouldn’t be kind to them either.

Everyone was in cahoots. He was getting more anxious about his family’s wellbeing and couldn’t help but start to use force. Because he laid his hand on the talkative beastman, other beastmen tried to help the latter.

"Ma Yongcheng, what’s wrong with you?! How can you be so ruthless toward your fellow villagers?"

"Let go of him, young beastman. You are going to hurt him." A relatively older beastman was trying to meditate peace between them.

Most beastmen were unwilling to be caught in the crossfire, and they only dared to observe from afar. Even the beastmen who were persuading Ma Yongcheng didn’t dare to get close.

Ma Yongcheng snorted at them, unimpressed. Inside his heart, he was also terribly disappointed. What kind of people had he been living with all this while?

"You dog, let go of him!" Suddenly, a thunderous voice resounded.

A gigantic burly man jumped toward Ma Yongcheng, attempting to snatch the terrified beastman he was holding in his hand. He had dark brown fur, standing taller compared to Ma Yongcheng. His figure towered above most beastmen.

Ma Yongcheng jumped away, bringing the beastman along with him and nearly strangling the latter. The bear beastman roared and followed.

The two were thus engaged in a fight. Ma Yongcheng was quite clever, using the talkative beastman who now had gone as quiet as quail as a shield.

The bear beastman became frustrated. He even accidentally punched the chameleon beastman acting as Ma Yongcheng’s shield. The chameleon beastman’s eye turned black, and he became dizzy. Soon, his eye was swollen.

"You immoral dog. Fight me on one versus one if you dare!" The bear beastman was obviously as hot-tempered as Ma Yongcheng.

Perhaps it was because of the similar temper. The two of them couldn’t stand each other’s presence. Whenever they had the chance, they would try to make trouble for the other.

However, Ma Yongcheng was more quick-witted compared to him. The fact that the bear beastman was bigger and taller compared to him was a great disadvantage. Fortunately, the latter used more brawn compared to the brain.

Leng Chuan simply cheered on his friend, trying to distract himself from the gloom of his missing siblings. Meanwhile, Lin Yu’an was still timid, trying to make himself invisible by standing behind Leng Chuan and Xie Ziyuan.

As for Xie Ziyuan, he didn’t even pay attention to the fight at all. His attention was on his inner space again.

"Keep an eye on him." He told Leng Chuan and Lin Yu’an before striding away with large steps.

It was not convenient to use his power in front of so many people. He didn’t want to appear too conspicuous, especially when most space ability users could only store things and were unable to enter their space like him.

There were too few people who had reached a high level of space law comprehension.

He found a secluded place and entered his inner space. The ghostly woman had taken care of the harvest for him and there were only six white rice left in the warehouse. On top of that, she had sent him a message.

She went straight to the point. "Ma Yongcheng’s family is imprisoned in an abandoned house."

There was also a rough drawing about the location and more detailed description regarding the house. She simply has filled in the whole paper this time.

Xie Ziyuan stuffed the paper back into the mailbox post and went back. It took no less than fifteen minutes, yet the fight between Ma Yongcheng and the bear beastman still hadn’t ceased.

A terrified look appeared on the chameleon beastman’s face, pale and bloodless. His eyes were practically begging for help and desperately wishing for Ma Yongcheng to let him go.

With each missing attack against Ma Yongcheng that landed on the chameleon beastman, the bear beastman became increasingly irritated.

"I know where your wife and kids are. Let go of him and I will tell you." The bear beastman gritted his teeth, trying to negotiate.

Ma Yongcheng had a disdainful look on his face. "Do you think I am a three year old you can easily fool?" He turned to the chameleon beastman. "Look, it’s this damned bear who was hitting you, not me."

A lot of beastmen cursed him for his shamelessness but he didn’t care. He only cared about his wife and kids!

"Ma Yongcheng." Xie Ziyuan called out calmly, his voice clear but not too loud. Yet, Ma Yongcheng still heard it.

The bear beastman was panting, trying to rein in his rage. Ma Yongcheng glared at him mockingly before throwing the chameleon beastman and went to Xie Ziyuan.

No one heard what Xie Ziyuan had said to him, but the four of them immediately left the scene. They completely ignored the bear beastman’s shout. "Ma Yongcheng, you coward! Stop right there!"

Everyone was looking at the direction the four were heading to. Their faces were filled with worry and they hurriedly left the scene to inform others.

The four keenly sensed that more and more beastmen were secretly looking at them. Before long, they also followed them. It meant that they were most likely heading to the correct path.

Ma Yongcheng and others took large strides behind Xie Ziyuan. The silver wolf appeared to be walking in a nonchalant manner, but some people were struggling to keep up with him.

By the time they arrived at a dilapidated house, a crowd of beastmen had gathered. Some even had been deliberately waiting for them there.

Ma Yongcheng’s eyes changed, and he took a few sniffs. Once he confirmed it was his wife and kids’ scent, he sprang toward the house and called out loudly, "Tang’er, are you inside?"

However, the beastmen blocked him before he could arrive at the door.

The bear beastman limped and sneered at him. "Your wife has committed a grave sin, Yongcheng. Are you sure you want to protect her?!"
