Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 140: Chance Encounter with Su Ruolan
How did she even get her new number? Su Yining frowned, wanting to ignore it. However, she accidentally pressed the answer button instead!
In an instant, a sobbing voice came through the phone.
"Wuwuwu... sister, why didn’t you tell me that you changed your number?" Su Ruolan complained.
Su Yining’s mouth twitched. Isn’t she one of the reasons she wanted to change her number even more? She must have been crazy if she told her or her troublesome stepmother about her new number!
"Sister, why aren’t you answering?"
Su Yining pursed her lips and asked bluntly, "What do you want?"
Su Ruolan didn’t seem to mind the discontent in her tone. "Sister, we haven’t met for a long time. Don’t you miss me?"
"No." She deadpanned. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"But... I miss you, how about we arrange to meet tomorrow? It’s the weekend and you don’t need to go to work!" She acted like a spoiled child. "Isn’t it better to use this chance to bond with each other? We seem to have drifted apart lately..."
Su Yining couldn’t bear to listen to her fake voice anymore and cut the call. Once she did, her gaze deepened.
That pair of mother and daughter seemed to become restless again this time.
For the entire day, she played the game. The number of fierce beasts became noticeably smaller, but they were also still numerous. If the protective shield were to be broken, the beastmen would also suffer.
She also bought a few more detoxification pills. Because she found out that the game had a terrible glitch!
Sometimes, some items would disappear from the game shop, making her worried they wouldn’t sell the detoxification pills again. Although the apple juice from the water hose was incredibly potent in decreasing the poison bar, it seemed to be a one time thing.
The effect was much lower now, even worse than the detoxification pills.
It was no wonder that she completed the quest so easily.
"You all can divide the chilis between yourselves," Su Yining told Fang Meilin as she handed over the sweet potato plant to her.
Wan Lan surely could research on how to grow this herself. Fang Meilin clutched the sweet potato tightly and thanked Su Yining solemnly.
She didn’t know what kind of price Su Yining had paid to strengthen the base’s protective shield. It must not have been easy, she thought.
Unaware of the female green snake’s thoughts, Su Yining pried Xiao Lei off the potted Devil’s Ivy and went to grab some snacks.
While she was gone, someone came to find Fang Meilin. It was Wei Rong.
"What do you want?" Fang Meilin said coldly, but her eyes held a hint of apprehension.
"What do I want? Don’t you know about it already, Fang Meilin? You are pretending as if you don’t know me now," Wei Rong sneered.
She shook her head. "I indeed don’t know you."
Silence fell between them.
Her tail moved and she slithered away, holding the sweet potato plant. Wei Rong blocked her.
"You haven’t come to detoxify me, Fang Meilin. Didn’t you say you want to take responsibility?" His face became increasingly gloomy.
Fang Meilin sighed. "Such a small amount of poison won’t kill you."
She slithered away nimbly, not letting him block her again. Suddenly, she turned around. There was no one in the vicinity and she was itching to say the words she wanted to say.
"Wei Rong, how about this... you and I can say that nothing has happened between us? Let’s keep it that way."
Before Wei Rong could respond to her words, she already moved very fast. In a split second, she was gone.
Wei Rong stomped the floor angrily.

Su Yining already settled everything for the base before she left for the next day. She had to fulfill her promise to Xiao Lei about getting some rabbit meat. Otherwise, it would continue to nag her endlessly.
She didn’t want that little troublesome thing to sit on her face while she was sleeping. Last time, its butt was almost touching her nose!
The little one was obediently sitting on her shoulder, greedily looking around the food stalls.
Afraid it might cause trouble, she whispered, "If you run off and steal anything again, I will only give you one pack of food every day from now on."
Its eyes widened in disbelief and its small body stiffened slightly. The expression cracked, looked like someone who had been betrayed.
"Let’s go getting you rabbit legs," she giggled softly and walked toward a stall.
Her senses were more alert than before because of the exercise she had been doing lately. At this moment, she suddenly spotted someone familiar in the crowd. Her heart nearly leaped from her chest.
It was Su Ruolan!
Speak of the devil and she shall appear.
"Keep the change!" Once her order was finished, she hurriedly took off, avoiding the troublesome girl. Her mood soured a little.
"Sister!" It was unknown whether Su Ruolan had a dog nose or something. Even among the crowd of people, she still spotted her. "Wait!"
Su Yining didn’t stop. Luckily, she was fast and soon, Su Ruolan lost her track.
She suddenly didn’t want to stay here anymore. After asking Xiao Lei what kind of food she wanted to eat, she went to buy them and headed to the lake not too far from her current location.
There were a lot of people who were having a picnic there, but she preferred to sit on green grass. Alas, her peace didn’t seem to last long.
She spotted Su Ruolan again, but this time she seemed to be in the middle of trouble. Her appearance was rather unkempt.
"I... I didn’t do it!" Su Ruolan was screaming, trying to prove people of her innocence.
"What do you mean you didn’t do it? We saw you pushing the girl into the lake!" A hot headed person yelled back.
"I-I just gave her a light tap... yes, that’s it! I didn’t push her, just a light tap. I didn’t know how she fell into the water," Su Ruolan sobbed.
Oops, Su Yining immediately realized she had picked the wrong spot. The location was quite close to them.
As if seeing a savior, Su Ruolan also shouted at her. "Sister! Sister! You also saw it, right? I didn’t push her!"
