Chapter 200: The Existance

The air tightened almost immediately after Seraphina’s words settled. It wasn’t just tension anymore. It was a heavy and suffocating pressure, as if something unseen had just loomed over all of them at once.

No one moved for a moment.

Clara was the first to break. Her eyes widened as she stepped forward slightly, her gaze fixed on Seraphina.

"What do you mean? What’s a Blood Sun Embryo?" she asked, her voice carrying a clear edge of panic.

For once, she didn’t pay attention to Seraphina’s wings, her presence, or the strange aura that was clearly the same as Lilian’s existence. None of that mattered right now.

Only the words did.

Seraphina shifted her gaze toward Clara. Then slowly, her eyes moved across the others in the group.

There was a faint look in her eyes. The cold, distant, and disdain look.

She didn’t hide it.

To her, they were insignificant. Beings of a lower realm, struggling within a broken world. Normally, she wouldn’t even acknowledge them.

But they stood beside Myles. That alone made her hold back.

"The Blood Sun," Seraphina began, her voice calm but carrying an undeniable weight, "is one of the strong existences in the cosmos."

The way she said it made the air feel heavier.

"He rules over an entire realm. And like all beings of his kind... he is greedy."

Her eyes narrowed slightly with some unsaid history.

"He wanted to expand, consume more, and take more."

Silence pressed around them.

"And now," she continued, "it seems he has set his eyes on this realm."

A cold realization spread across the group.

"So he planted something here?" Ethan muttered.

Seraphina gave a slight nod. "He placed an embryo. A fragment of his own essence. A seed of his soul. It requires a vessel in this world."

No one spoke. They didn’t need to say it. They already knew that it must be Red with all the evil deeds he ever did.

"Once it fully grows," Seraphina continued, "that vessel will no longer be just human. It will become his herald. A being that exists to prepare this world for his arrival."

A chill ran through them.

Victor clicked his tongue under his breath. "Damn it..."

Clara’s grip tightened around her weapon.

Ethan looked away briefly, his jaw clenched.

They didn’t need confirmation. Everything they had seen until now pointed to one conclusion.

Red had it. And they were going to fight him in a matter of hours.

Myles stayed silent. His eyes shifted slightly.

For the first time, he noticed it clearly. Lilian’s and Seraphina’s expression and tone were showing that they were worried.

Not openly or visibly in a human way. But it was there.

If even beings like them felt this way...

Then this wasn’t just dangerous. It was catastrophic.

Myles exhaled slowly, forcing his thoughts to settle. Panicking won’t solve anything.

"Alright," he said, his voice steady. His gaze locked onto them. "What can we do? Does it have a weakness?"

Lilian answered this time.

"Because it is still an embryo," she said, "its power is incomplete. It hasn’t fully integrated with the vessel yet."

That was something. A small opportunity.

"We can stop it before it fully matures," she continued.

Myles’ eyes sharpened. "How?"

Seraphina then spoke.

"The seed has already taken a physical form inside the vessel’s body. You must remove it."

Myles didn’t look away. "Remove it... how?"

"You carve it out," Seraphina replied without hesitation.

The words landed heavily.

Victor let out a low groan. "Yeah... that doesn’t sound easier than anything we’ve done so far."

"It never was," Lilian said calmly.

No one argued with that.

A few seconds passed in silence.

Then, almost naturally, every gaze turned toward Myles. Their leader.

Myles didn’t hesitate for long.

His mind moved quickly.

"For now we go back first," he said. "We tell Michael everything."

That was the only logical move.

This wasn’t something they could handle alone anymore.

"Move," Myles added.

They turned immediately and began heading back toward the camp, their pace fast and focused.

The ground shifted beneath fast-moving footsteps as Myles and his group pushed their pace. The earlier tension hadn’t faded. It only sharpened into urgency as they moved back toward the camp.

Not far from another sector of the zone, Michael and his group moved through the terrain, their attention fixed on the surroundings.

They were still hunting.

Scattered Ether shards glimmered faintly among the debris of fallen monsters. The air carried the lingering scent of battle, and the faint distortion of Ether still hadn’t settled completely.

Rafe broke the silence first.

"So..." he said, glancing toward Michael. "After we deal with Red... do you want to plant a trap against Myles’ group?"

The question hung in the air.

No one interrupted.

Michael didn’t answer immediately. His steps slowed slightly, his gaze lowering as something dark passed through his thoughts.

Then he gave a small nod.

His expression remained tight. It had been like that for days now. He always looked strained. Always holding something beneath the surface.

"Yes," he said. The word came out firm. "I won’t let it happen again."

Rafe’s eyes sharpened. He didn’t hesitate.

"Alright," he said. "Then we do it."

There was no doubt in his tone.

Behind them, Tobias stayed silent, his eyes thoughtful. Selene crossed her arms slightly, her expression unreadable. Darius and Hana exchanged brief glances before looking forward again.

None of them objected.

They understood why.

Red had already proven what happened when someone gained too much power and turned. Michael wouldn’t allow a second case and he managed to convince them.

His gaze moved toward the faint glow of another shard in the distance.

"We need more shards," he muttered. "As much as we can get."

If they were going to face Red... and then possibly Myles... They needed every advantage they could muster and every bit of strength.

They couldn’t afford to fall behind.

Michael stepped forward again, his pace steady but heavier than before.

"If I can’t control it... then I’ll crush it before it becomes a problem."

The thought settled deep in his mind.

"Michael!" A voice cut through the air. All of them turned instantly.

A figure ran toward them from the direction of the camp. His breathing was uneven, his face tense.

He didn’t stop until he reached them.

"You need to go back!" he said, struggling to catch his breath.

Michael frowned. "What happened?"

The man looked up, his expression pale.

"Red," he said. "He’s moving. His group... they’re going to attack us."

Silence hit. Michael’s eyes widened slightly.

"What?"

"They’re going to attack the camp," the man continued. "Soon."

Everything froze for half a second.

Then Michael’s expression changed.

All hesitation disappeared.

"Move," he ordered immediately.

They turned at once and rushed back toward the camp, their pace faster than before.
