Apocalypse: Reborn with a Soul Sync Farming Space System-Chapter 161 My Precious Plants!
"Master Laurel!" Luo floated immediately to her.
"Hello, Luo," Laurel caressed its head. "Where is Ling Xuan?"
Luo pointed behind the purple door.
"I’ll see you later," She said before heading into the purple door.
The moment she opened the door, she quickly dodged to the side, her eyes wide in a fraction of a second, as she narrowly escaped the brutal assault of a flying cocoa.
"Ling Xuan, what are you doing?!" She yelled as she dashed into the room.
’My plants! My precious plants! I don’t care if I die today, I’m going to get justice for them... how could she...gasp...’
Laurel’s eyes widened when she realized that almost all the cocoa fruits, Almonds, vanilla pods, saffron, and Da Hong Pao tea leaves were gone.
Her eyes twitched with anger, her fists trembled beside her.
She marched inside, towards Ling Xuan who was crouching by the tea leaves. The fruits were scattered across the field, forcing Laurel to step over them.
"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!" Laurel’s chest heaved up and down heavily.
Ling Xuan did not bother to spare her a glance. "What does it look like I’m doing?" She muttered under her breath.
"You are destroying my hard work!"
"Is that so?" Ling Xuan asked calmly, as she plucked another tea leaf.
Laurel’s eyes darkened to shades darker than blood. "Is that what you have to say?"
Ling Xuan rose to her feet, dusting the dirt from her body. "You should be thanking me." Her eyes narrowed as they landed on Laurel.
"Why?" Laurel’s gaze turned into a glare.
And that made Ling Xuan click her tongue in displeasure. "I’ll deal with you when I have the time."
Without giving Laurel a chance to speak.
"System, the harvest is complete. See if there is any repairman who needs these things in exchange for fixing my armor," Ling Xuan said, calmly folding her hands behind her back.
Laurel looked around in confusion. It all made sense now. She should have been able to detect that something was wrong all this time. How could Ling Xuan who hated farming suddenly begin to harvest crops? And hadn’t troubled her with taking over the body?
She had thought she was destroying the farm, but on a second look... she had harvested everything cleanly.
"Aren’t you supposed to discuss this with me... this is my jurisdiction," Laurel walked closer to her.
Ling Xuan glanced at her. "As long as I helped with the harvest, part of the jurisdiction lies with me." She replied curtly.
Before Laurel could speak, the system popped up in the air, its light-blue screen visible.
[Host, I have found a repairman across the dimension. He is at the expert level.]
The system brought out the image of the repairman.
[The repairman is currently available. He has a 92% success rate, and more than 20000EXP.]
"What is his request?"
[He requested 10000 points and 4 grade C medicinal herbs.]
Ling Xuan turned to Laurel. "That wouldn’t be a problem, right?"
Laurel looked away. ’Is that how you talk to someone and ask for consent? That wouldn’t be a problem, right?’ For goodness sake, the armor is useless, there is absolutely nothing special about it. Why should we spend a lot on such a thing? The points weren’t easy to get, and we should focus on getting more useful equipment or even upgrading the space house...’
"Go ahead with the trade. She has no issue with it." Ling Xuan said after waiting for Laurel to say something but refused.
Laurel snapped her head back at her, totally speechless at her words.

[Deal completed.]
[The armor will be repaired in five days.]
"Good." Ling Xuan said before turning to the field she had harvested. "If I had known these crops wouldn’t be needed, I wouldn’t have harvested them." She said with a click of her tongue.
Laurel let out an awkward laugh unable to believe her ears. "Well too bad..."
"You dared glare at me." Ling Xuan’s brooding gaze swept over Laurel sending shivers down her spine.
Laurel blinked, unease creeping up her skin. "Look at what you did to my field. Although you helped with the harvest, you don’t throw crops around, that would damage the quality. And not to mention the way you were plucking the tea wrongly, which would affect the taste.
Tell me if I can’t even be angry about the thing I cared about, what is the point of working so hard for them?" Laurel bit her inner cheeks after the words left her mouth.
Ling Xuan nodded as if she understood her. "Come with me." She said, turning to the door, and walking out of the room.
Laurel glanced at the field again with a pained expression.
[You are right, the quality of the crops is affected. But she harvested the crops for more than 24 hours... that dedication shouldn’t be overlooked.]
Laurel parted her lips to speak but the system suddenly disappeared, leaving her with her mixed feelings.
Laurel stared at the door, and she couldn’t help but dread the moment she stepped outside the door. ’Who knows what she is planning to do?’
Meanwhile outside the system’s space. The group had already settled, they shared packaged food among themselves to avoid attracting the infected by cooking.
Tina sat beside Alexander, who was staring at the food in his hand like it was poison. Even though the rice and the beef soup were kept in a warming storage, as long as they were not fresh, they were considered inedible by him.
Tina would have been picky if they were back in the fortress but she understood that she had no choice but to eat the food. First was because she was the one who followed them and secondly was because she didn’t want to slow the group down.
Alexander glanced at Tina who was stuffing her mouth with rice. ’If a kid as picky as her can eat it...there should be no trouble with me eating too.’
He thought before stuffing his mouth too, he believed the sooner he finished the faster he could end his suffering.
Meanwhile, Chris sat across from them, eating his food with no problem. His eyes wandered around the camp searching for one person but she was nowhere to be found.
He sniffled as he felt the air growing colder, he frowned slightly pushing the soil with his boot... it was moist.
’Strange... how could the soil be this moist after the severe fire outbreak?’
