Apocalypse Landlord: My Tenants Are All Beautiful Heroines.-Chapter 49: The Price of Becoming A Demon Lord
"L-Lily! Mom is... just exercising!" Alisha yelled from the balcony, but Lily didn’t respond.
The little girl’s stares went right through her.
"No! No! No! What have I done...? I have traumatized her!"
Alisha fell to her knees, weeping for her shameless behavior. How would she ever show her face to Lily now?
Suddenly, she felt someone wrap her arms around her while patting her head. Alisha should have hated Aiden for what he did, but she just couldn’t bring herself to do it.
"I-I’m a terrible mother!" she wept, burying her head in Aiden’s chest. "I don’t deserve to be a mother—"
"She can’t see you," Aiden interjected and flicked her forehead.
"W-What? But she was—"
Instead of explaining anything, he just bought Lily’s favorite chocolates from the shop. The little girl loved it so much that she would get up from her sleep the moment she smelled it.
Even as Aiden dangled them off the balcony, Lily began frantically looking around her for the chocolate once she caught the scent, but couldn’t perceive the ones hanging overhead.
"See? No reaction," he smiled, kissing Alisha deeply.
"B-But how...?"
"Perks of being a landlord," he said, lifting her in a princess carry. "Now, don’t force your mind on such trivial things and focus on being a good mother to my children, just like you’re good to Lily."
His words were like a switch freezing her. The warmth drizzling down her legs reminded her of her shameful agreement moments ago.
The way she had begged him to be filled kept repeating before her eyes. The more she remembered, the more she wanted to bury herself alive.
How could I behave like that! I’m his senior... that’s not what my sister would have liked...
Sorry, Megan, but I don’t think I can be a mother to Aiden like you wanted. But I’ll take care of him, in my own way.
While she was pleading for forgiveness from her deceased sister, another thought appeared in her head.
She had assumed someone like Aiden would dislike having children of his own. As for his words before, Alisha thought they were part of the roleplay or that he said them in the heat of the moment.
But now that he had expressed his thoughts again, her cheeks flushed red. Redder than they had ever been before.
"Y-Your children...?"
"No," Aiden shook his head, smiling at her sweetly. "Our children."
At his words, she quickly buried her face in his chest, trying to hide her burning cheeks.
"I... I was just caught up in the moment..." she said, trying to defend herself, though even she didn’t sound convinced.
"Of course," Aiden nodded seriously. "You just accidentally begged to be filled and called yourself my slut. Happens all the time."
"D-Don’t say it like that!" she squeaked, lifting her head just enough to glare at him, only to regret it when their eyes met again.
"T-Then... doing it once wouldn’t be enough..."
"I know. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you well filled for a long time."
"Aiden! You’re the worst!"
Some time later...

Aiden dismissed the notification with one hand before sighing deeply. Now he was satisfied both mentally and physically.
"Looks like sleeping around is a quicker way of making money than having the tenants hunt monsters," he mumbled. "But it is also limited."
Given that he wouldn’t just sleep with anyone, and it was difficult for women of his preferences to appear in the apocalypse, getting money from bedding women wasn’t a long-term source of income.
"I already slept with both women here... excluding that vermin."
Just thinking about Amaela in an intimate way killed what remaining libido he had.
[She would have liked that, Host.]
"I don’t recall asking for your opinion."
The system felt silent once again. Still, Aiden couldn’t deny the truth in her words. That woman would have loved it if he could let go of his hate for her kind.
She already broke her vow and talked to me once... for that vampire’s sake.
Aiden was too happy back then to think about why someone would suddenly break a vow they had maintained for decades for a stranger.
[Amaela is a vampire, host. Could it be—]
"And so were the hundreds that I killed. She didn’t stop me then. Some of them had to be innocent, but there wasn’t a peep."
Perhaps reminded of that massacre scared the system, she didn’t dare retort anymore.
"Carmila, are you still collecting strays?" Aiden chuckled, reminded of his early days in the Otherworld as a lowly grunt.
Even though he was reincarnated as the son of the previous demon lord, he was the least favored amongst the thousands of his children.
It wasn’t until Carmila, the vampiric teacher of all the demon king’s children, took him under his wing that his life improved.
Under her guidance, he truly became a benevolent leader. Someone whom even the demon king couldn’t ignore. He went from being a nobody to the next successor.
It went without saying that quite a few demons were unhappy with such a development. Especially his so-called siblings.
However, since he had been named successor, they couldn’t harm Aiden. So, they harmed the one responsible for saving him.
They succeeded, but instead of watching Aiden break, they turned him into the heartless demon lord. The one who destroyed entire civilizations for revenge.
Carmila wouldn’t have wanted that. After all, Aiden had gone against everything she taught him. But it was the only way he could get her back in some way, so he didn’t care.
I got you back, eventually, but you never spoke to me again.
Even as Aiden recalled their story, Carmila didn’t speak to him. Maybe she was still disappointed in him. However, she had given him a clue to get her to talk.
For whatever reason, she cared about Amaela. She won’t ignore me if I get close to her, would she?
Just thinking about Amaela made him gag, but if she was the key to getting Carmila back, then Aiden would do it. Honestly, it was a gamble, but what’s worse that could happen?
