Ant Lord in the Star Realm-Chapter 504 - 484 Fire Wheel Island United Kingdom
The Dominating Throne sped above the clouds, from west to east, then from east to west.
Only three or four hundred kilometers away from the Mainland’s coastline, Dragon Cypress acted cautiously, slowing down the Dominating Throne and reducing Origin Force fluctuations.
He found quite a few islands, but most were less than a square kilometer, at most a few square kilometers, or a dozen, many of them barren, sparsely vegetated, and worthless.
He only found two "great islands" that met his requirements. Dragon Cypress spent time and effort figuring out their situations and remembering their locations.
In the southwestern sea of the Mainland,
on the azure sea, a spot of green caught his eye.
The island was not small!
Dragon Cypress felt a burst of joy in his heart and controlled the Dominating Throne to speed up a bit.
Soon, he saw clearly: a long, narrow island running north-south, probably over 30 kilometers in length.
In the distance, there were two more green dots, one big and one small—two sizeable islands.
Even farther away, there seemed to be islands of even larger area.
An archipelago!
Dragon Cypress immediately sensed something was wrong, slowed the Dominating Throne, turned around, and quietly fled away.
He dove straight down, submerging a hundred meters below the sea.
He could be one hundred percent sure that there were Ant Clan or Bee Clan kingdoms on those islands.
Dragon Cypress dared not be careless, and from time to time activated his Soul-Setting Ability to sense the surrounding area.
He observed covertly for a good while before feeling at ease.
Once he confirmed safety, Dragon Cypress couldn’t help feeling curious: What exactly was going on in that island group? Were there any opportunities to exploit? Any chances he could take advantage of...
The Dominating Throne floated up to the surface, and he casually grabbed a big fish, slowly but surely carving and eating it.
Resting and waiting.
Nightfall, late night.
Dragon Cypress controlled the Dominating Throne to submerge and traveled a hundred meters below the sea, heading for that long north-south island.
Once close, he used the Soul-Setting Ability to sense.
Soon he made a discovery: there was a large mountain, whose interior had been hollowed out and turned into a beehive—packed full of bee souls.
They were rather weak—Mountain Lord Level.
The worker bees were differentiated into three types: large, medium, and small.
There was one Bee King and two Assistant Kings, both Mountain Lord Level.
Dragon Cypress also sensed two tree-shaped souls near the base of the mountain.
Two arbor-type Divine-Given Seeds. Not exactly wealthy, but definitely not a poor Bee King either.
One Divine-Given Seed could support itself; the other could support the two Assistant Kings.
Just barely enough for day-to-day survival.
Dragon Cypress piloted the Dominating Throne, circling the island to inspect it.
The island was about 35 kilometers long, an irregular shape. The main hive was at a spot about 15 kilometers wide. Roughly estimated, the island was around 300 square kilometers in area.
There was only one main hive on the island; the Bee King, Assistant Kings, and all the worker bees were concentrated inside it—no sub-hives, and no other Insect Clans.
—The territory isn’t large enough, low chances for obtaining Divine-Given Seeds, and limited development potential.
Dragon Cypress commented silently, then dived into the deep sea, heading for another island.
Soul-Setting Ability—sensory check.
Ant Clan!
Again, a hollowed-out mountain, with the main nest inside; two body-size differentiations, dense—four or five thousand worker ants lived there.
Lord-Level.
One Ant King, two Assistant Kings.
Four Divine-Given Seeds, but one was an herbaceous type.
The island was overall rectangular, about 30 km long and 25 km wide, totaling around 750 square kilometers—about the same size as the Purple Tung Insect Nation.
There were six sub-nests on the island, each housing around five hundred worker ants.
Dragon Cypress continued to check another island within 20 kilometers.
This island was crescent-shaped, about 100 square kilometers, with two sub-nests, both Ant and Bee Clans mixed together, housing about 2,000 worker ants and 600 worker bees, with one permanent Ant Clan Assistant King stationed here.
The Ant King and Bee King managed this relatively small island together.
—The Ant King has a chance to rise up.
—The Bee King’s prospects are bleak.
Dragon Cypress commented to himself.
After exploring these three islands, dawn was about to break. He controlled the Dominating Throne, quietly retreating northward.
He retreated three hundred kilometers in one go, then rose vertically into the sky, hiding above a patch of dark clouds to observe in secret.
Dawn.
Straining his eyes as far as they could see, the three islands he’d explored last night were just tiny green dots, in stark contrast to a long green band.
A large mainland island running north-south—long and over four hundred kilometers in length.
No need to think: there must be a powerful great nation on that island.
The three islands he’d explored last night were just minor satellite islands; the Ant and Bee Clans there were mere vassal insects eking out a living on the fringe.
Dragon Cypress steeled himself and piloted the Dominating Throne to fly high, hiding above the sea of clouds, adjusting his viewpoint to observe.
Roughly estimated, the main island was about fifty kilometers wide, with an area of over twenty thousand square kilometers.
Surrounding the main island were nineteen islands of varying sizes. The largest could be up to three thousand square kilometers, while the smallest were only a few square kilometers—seen from afar, just little green spots.
The whole archipelago covered nearly thirty thousand square kilometers, less than four hundred kilometers from the Mainland. There would definitely be plenty of Flame Spider Caravans willing to trade across the sea, which meant there must be several Insect King Level Ant Kings and Bee Kings here.
Possibly, several kingdoms jointly occupied this archipelago.
Or perhaps the Ant and Bee Clans united, the many Ant Kings and Bee Kings forming a massive maritime kingdom.
Either way, he couldn’t afford to provoke them.
And there was no need to risk getting close to investigate further.
Dragon Cypress remembered the location, thinking to himself that, in the future, whenever he and Ink Orchid searched for Divine-Given Seeds on the nearby wild islands, they must avoid this spot.
The Dominating Throne flew slowly, ready to slip away quietly—when suddenly, from deep inside the clouds, a wave of spiritual power full of astonishment hit: Huh?!
The thick clouds flashed blue-violet, and a butterfly appeared in front of the Dominating Throne—its wings spanning four or five meters, shimmering in sky-blue metallic hues.
Scarlet eyes, wings a pale sky blue, whole carapace a deep purplish-red, fringed at the edges in dark purple as well.
A breathtakingly gorgeous butterfly.
It stared in shock and wonder at Dragon Cypress sitting on the throne,
Dragon Cypress was startled, but quickly composed himself.
Flash Butterfly!
Specific species was unidentifiable.
Lord-Level Flash Butterfly Warrior.
"Hello~"
Dragon Cypress tried a greeting.
"Hello there~"
The Flash Butterfly Warrior responded, incredulous: "You’re a male Ant King?!"
Dragon Cypress: "I am."
Flash Butterfly Warrior: "You look so strange! What’s your species? Why is your carapace green? There are green ants in this world?"
Dragon Cypress: "Hump Cutter Ant. The natural color is dark brown; the green is due to Seventh Age Awakening Ability."
"Oh——"
The Flash Butterfly Warrior pondered, then said, "Still doesn’t seem right! Hump Cutter Ant? Male Ant King? Why are you so fat?"
Dragon Cypress: "...I eat well."
Flash Butterfly Warrior: "Your head is huge!"
Dragon Cypress: "When you think a lot, your head naturally gets big."
Dragon Cypress reported his origin: "I’m from the Huagi Kingdom, under Ant King Flower Flag, Yellow Stem Ant King. I came from the Central Continent, traveling by sea to broaden my horizons."
"Oh——"
The Flash Butterfly Warrior followed suit: "I’m called Purple. I’m a scouting warrior under the Volcano Ant King of Fire Wheel Island Nation." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
The Flash Butterfly Warrior named ’Purple’ blinked to the side of the Dominating Throne, unfurling her coiled tentacles, pointing toward the distant islands, introducing:
"Fire Wheel Island United Kingdom."
Dragon Cypress: "Oh——"
A kingdom formed by numerous Ant Kings and Bee Kings united together.
A Flash Butterfly Warrior coexisting with the Ant Clan.
Just by looking, not the friendly type.
Dragon Cypress stayed wary inside.
Purple blinked again, appearing right in front of the Dominating Throne, eyes landing on the throne, and asked curiously: "Yellow Stem Ant King, what’s this?"
Dragon Cypress replied: "It’s called the Dominating Throne. An Outworld Civilization Artifact."
Purple: "Outworld Artifact? Where did you get it?"
Dragon Cypress: "Found it."
Purple: "Found it?"
Dragon Cypress: "It fell from the sky. Happened to land in the woods I manage, so I picked it up."
Purple: "It’s priceless, right? Didn’t you hand it over to Ant King Flower Flag?"
Dragon Cypress: "Ant King Flower Flag wouldn’t even care about these Outworld things."
"Really? That’s great!"
Purple was overjoyed, exclaiming, "I care about it!"
Purple asked again: "Is your Water System Talent also given by that Outworld Artifact?"
Dragon Cypress: "More or less."
"Marvelous!"
Purple was ecstatic, then shouted angrily, "Ant! Formal notice! You have invaded the territory of Fire Wheel Island Nation! I advise you to surrender the Dominating Throne as an apology! If you don’t want to die, get lost now!"
"Oh! Wow! Stop! Stop! Wait! Ant, I’m going to tie you up and bring you back! Maybe I can ransom a huge sum from Ant King Flower Flag!"
"I’m going to strike it rich!"
Purple flapped her wings, flashing around the Dominating Throne—darting forward, back, left, right—shouting joyously, full of excitement.
Ants cooperating with others really aren’t good sorts~
Dragon Cypress gathered Primary Energy in his claws but didn’t release it. Ignoring her, he used his mind to control the Dominating Throne, plunging downward at full speed.
