Ancient Tears BloodLine-Chapter 1434: Exposing the planted spies!
Warrior Camp No.5
I was inside the room. I didn’t know when the next battle would occur, but I had decided to consume the Purple Lightning Force carefully. Otherwise, I would be forced to fight with brute strength.
Knock!
Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door. I furrowed my eyebrows. I could guess who it might be. Either the person was Supervisor Kenny, or it was other warriors. I got out of bed and walked up to the door.
Creak!
I opened the door and saw the warriors standing outside. Seeing them, my mouth curved into an arc. I knew it.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"Zack Lockwood, you killed your own side!"
"You are a traitor."
"How dare you kill warriors of Dark Shadow University?"
One after another, the warriors shouted. They were enraged. I didn’t react, but I felt killing intent coming from someone. I activated my perception.
It immediately covered the crowd before me. Then, I noticed the subtle actions of a few warriors. Their gazes were filled with malicious intent.
"Planted spies," I thought.
"Zack Lockwood, come with us!"
"You have to face the consequences of your actions."
"No one can save you."
The warriors shouted and stepped forward to capture me. At that moment, a knife-wielding warrior made a sudden sneak attack from behind. His knife was covered in the gold element. It was extremely sharp.
The other warriors were startled by the sudden attack. The knife was about to land on me, but the warriors’ movements were completely clear to my eyes.
Swoosh!
I shifted my body and evaded the attack. The knife went past me. At the same time, I covered my fists with Purple Lightning Force. Next, I turned around and attacked the warrior. My right fist landed on the killer’s body.
Boom!
The Purple Lightning Force blasted the warrior away. He flew backward through the air before hitting the ground hard. This all happened within seconds. But the attacks didn’t stop there.
Swoosh!
A female warrior launched an attack like a shadow. Her hand held a small dagger. My eyes flashed with killing intent. Without turning back, I released the purple lightning technique.
"Lightning Wheel!"
A powerful lightning wheel appeared all of a sudden. The female warrior wielding the dagger was startled before her weapon could touch the target.
Boom!
Her body collided with the purple lightning wheel. A second later, the lightning wheel exploded. The powerful force blasted her away.
"Aaahhhh!"
A blood-curdling scream escaped her mouth. The purple lightning power electrocuted her. Her charred body flew through the air before falling to the ground.
This all happened within seconds. The other warriors were shocked to the core.
"Killer!"
"He killed warriors in front of us!"
"Capture him!"
The nearby warriors shouted. They had no idea about the planted spies. On the other hand, I still felt killing intent among some of them. They could be planted spies or from hostile universities. Not everyone who wanted to kill me was a spy.
Swoosh!
Before the matter could get worse, someone appeared. It was none other than Supervisor Kenny. He immediately released a small amount of pressure.
The warriors knelt on the ground. They were all terrified. The warriors who were watching from the sidelines were not spared; they knelt under the Purple Mark Pressure.
Those who were already injured fared even worse, fainting on the spot. Specifically, the two killers who had attacked me earlier faced even more force. They fainted directly.
I was the only one who didn’t feel any pressure. I stood upright, which immediately displeased the others.
A few minutes later, Kenny withdrew the pressure. When the pressure was gone, everyone gasped for breath. A few people lay flat on the ground.
Kenny said, "I have watched the battlefield. Before Zack Lockwood entered the battlefield, five warriors tried to kill him. Do you guys know why?"
Gasp!
Hearing that, everyone’s expression changed drastically. They didn’t know about that attack. Even the Star University warriors were shocked.
Their faction had a hatred for Zack Lockwood, but they were not blind enough to make a move inside the camp.
Kenny saw the change in everyone’s expressions. "It’s because they were not on our side. They betrayed the human side long ago," he revealed.
"What?" The neutral warriors who had gathered were all dumbfounded. They didn’t know about this. No wonder he had come here to protect Zack Lockwood. Were those two who attacked Zack Lockwood earlier also...?
That was the question on everyone’s mind. Kenny saw through their fears and doubts.
"You guys guessed right. Including the two from just now, they were not on our side," he said.
Everyone’s faces filled with fear. These warriors were not naive. Since they had reached the camp, they were the strongest who had risen step by step. They knew something about spies as well.
"If I’m not wrong, you guys have guessed it already. These people are planted spies. They betrayed the human side for resources. Zack Lockwood’s name was on the foreign creatures’ kill list. Since he made an appearance, they activated their spies," Kenny told them.
"So, those guys killed by Zack Lockwood on the battlefield were spies as well. Their information will be sent back to the Dean and other universities. So, don’t break the rules. Otherwise, you will be suspected," Kenny warned.
His warning stunned everyone. Their eyes flashed with understanding.
Earlier, they were blinded by hatred and hadn’t thought rationally. Now, everything made sense. Before he could ask anything else, they apologized and dispersed.
In the blink of an eye, the warriors vacated the area. Only Zack and the Supervisor remained. Kenny turned around and looked toward Zack Lockwood.
He asked, "Do you think there could be more planted spies among them?"
Hearing that, I smiled and replied, "Supervisor, you made an early entrance. I spotted a few more with killing intent, but I’m not sure whether they were planted spies or not."
A bitter smile appeared on Kenny’s face. "If I hadn’t appeared, you wouldn’t have spared the others either," he said.
I was stunned. He was right. I might have treated the others the same way.
