Just as I tried to walk past them, the four of them immediately blocked the path. I raised my eyebrows. Clearly, they came to test me.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked.

"Zack Lockwood, I heard you have an ancient inheritance. We want to test your strength," one of them said straightforwardly.

"But I’m not interested in fighting you guys," I replied before walking away.

Four of their eyes turned sinister. One of them turned around to sneak attack. But just as his attack was about to hit, I turned around and blocked his fist.

"Now I have changed my mind." After saying that, I twisted his right hand before kicking at his stomach.

Pfff!

The pure brute force sent the middle-aged man flying backward. He then crashed into the ground. Seeing that, three of their faces changed. They immediately attacked at the same time.

I activated my perception ability for the first time after becoming the Black Mark Warrior during a fight. The next moment, the area around me became clear in my mind.

I could perfectly predict the trajectory of the attacks from the three people.

I stepped forward and punched towards the nearest person. My fist smacked his face. The middle-aged man felt dizzy before falling to the ground.

"Harumph," I snorted before sending them flying back. Then they smashed onto the ground.

Soon, someone from the training facility saw the terrible state of the four warriors from the Dark Variant Faction. They were immediately taken to the infirmary.

It didn’t take long for the news to spread. Zack Lockwood opened his account in the Inner Hall. He started by beating down the warriors of the Dark Variant Faction.

Dean Jerome learned the news as well. He immediately sent a special mission to Zack Lockwood. After sending that, he turned towards the Purple Guard Warrior.

"Take him there tomorrow. Let’s see how long he can survive," Jerome said.

"Dean, isn’t it too early for the Foreign Creature Destruction Task?" the Purple Mark Guard asked.

Jerome shook his head before saying, "If he stays here, then there will be more problems."

"I had already assigned you as his protector. You can start your role," he added.

"Okay," the Purple Mark Guard replied before leaving.

Meanwhile,

Inside the Thunderflame Faction, I was staying in my residence. I received a message from Dean Jerome.

Seeing that, I knew it was important. I opened the message to read it.

A few seconds later,

A sharp glint flashed in my eyes.

"He is sending me to the battlefield tomorrow. It’s my first foreign creature destruction task," I said to myself.

But it came so soon. It was mentioned that I should be waiting at the transportation area tomorrow morning. Then I pushed down these thoughts.

Instead of staying here, it’s better to go there and fight. Then I reported to my two masters about the mission. They were shocked. They didn’t expect the Dean to give me the mission so soon.

After talking to them, I sat on the sofa and started to recollect some things. I found out something interesting: my lightning, blood, and soul techniques should have touched their limits.

The Inheritance Transformation has improved my aptitude and comprehension. Now I could raise their limits, but it would take some time.

So I decided to learn a new technique. Most of the Inheritance Techniques come with a set of combat skills, but mine is totally different. One is integration, the other one is sealing. The rest are healing and bloodline.

Talking about bloodlines, I should ask Faction Leader Francesca about the combat techniques. I have her contact number, so I immediately called her.

The call was connected. It immediately surprised me.

"Zack Lockwood, it’s surprising to get your call. What do you want?" Francesca Ball asked.

Hearing that, my mouth twitched. But I told her about my situation.

"You have an ancient bloodline method. If you comprehend it, you can gain a set of combat techniques directly," Francesca said on the call.

"Since you are going for the mission, I’ll give you an attack technique later," she added.

Hearing that, I sighed in relief.

Time passed,

As midnight fell, I was having trouble sleeping because I wanted to practice the new technique before going for the mission tomorrow.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door.

Hearing that, I immediately got out of bed and darted towards the door.

I arrived in front of the door and opened it. Then I saw the faction leader Francesca standing in front of me.

"Faction Leader," I immediately greeted her.

"Didn’t you have any techniques?" she asked, looking into my eyes.

Hearing that, I replied, "I have just started visualizing it."

She raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"Continue to visualize. You will get the combat skills as well. It appears you had stopped visualizing after refining the blue water force," she said.

Hearing that, I was shocked to the core. I did stop it because I thought it was just a practice method. But I never thought there would be follow-up combat techniques.

"I have come here to give you the technique. Since you are close to getting it by yourself, you should not waste energy on another technique." After saying that, she left.

I stood there dumbfounded. If this was the case, then she should have told me on the call. Then I went inside and closed the door.

After coming into the room, I lay down on the bed.
